Very dissatisfied

Close to amenities,

Very basic, the property shown on booking . com was not representative of the property we stayed in. Fridge was not clean, lap trays were filthy. The radiator and shower leaked. Bathroom items were rusty Toilet flush is in need of repair. The kettle switch was broken. Mouldy smells to the property. Very dissatisfied.

Room and house size, cleanliness, kitchen facilities were excellent

Only one toilet cum bathroom for large house caused inconvenience in the morning.

Basic place to stay over

N8ce location to Y not food and drinks. Great place to stay over

Basic or maybe too basic. Have fridge and freezer turned on as guests arrive would be helpful. Also basic soap in bathroom and a few extra toilet rolls will go far in getting the basics eight

Misleading listing

Location

The photos on this listing are very misleading. The listing covers 4 properties which are not identical. It is only after selecting an option that you can click on it to see photos of your chosen property. Not all properties have king size beds, drying machines or dining tables.

Central to centre of town, easy access to property, clean.

Accommodation more like a hostel than a self catering home.

Spacious and dog friendly - everything we needed in the kitchen

Location was both good and bad. Very central but the area was also quite noisy. People talking loudly outside late in the evening and cars speeding on the road along the river.

Disappointing

Was central to all amenities.

There was no tea or coffee, tea towels, hairdryer, hand soap and shampoo, conditioner! Very expensive for what it was! Also there was no information about Wi-Fi, how to use shower or anything in the apartment just lots of pointless information about the restaurant next door that you might never visit.

The beds had not been made or cleaned at the property and the shower was freezing, it was very dirty and dated

No hand wash . Pilliws hard ,bed really firm . No teaspoons. Not even a t bag never mind a welcome pack. Very cold and unhomely. Button broken of kettle Noise at night from pub across road. Not much slerp.

Location, value for money and secure garden for dogs. We had 3 x adults bit this house could carer for 7 x adults.

Our best candidate for a stay up north

We realized that Thurso is a great location for trips to the north and that's why we extended our stay twice here. It is a very spacious apartment with the main amenities you may need. Friendly and helpful owner, too. Really enjoyed our 3-days here. Thank you.

Terrible host. Communication non existent. Do not stay here

Very poor host for not providing adequate facilities and for not responding to queries about this. We wanted to be tidy guests and clean up properly but host prevented us from doing this. I would not recommend staying here because of this

Poorly fitted self catering, ok location

Location was good

I have been in hundreds of hotels and self catering locations, this was one of the worst. There were not enough utensils for 5 people not to mention more, the area above the range was greasy, sticky and disgusting. There were no cleaning materials to wash the dishes (not even a sponge or paper towel), and to top it all off, there was no dining table! We had to eat sitting on the floor! There was a washing machine, but we could not use it as there were no clotheslines to dry clothes on. As another interesting touch, we found out the fridge was switched off hours after we placed our food in it! We had to hunt around in the cupboards until we found the outlet, there was no mention of this or guidance. Once it was switched on it made so much noise it was difficult to sleep in the room next to it. The place felt unloved and cared for only in the most basic fashion. Not recommended at all.

rooms were specious

it wasnt the same as shown in the pictures. kitchen didnt have essential things like cutlery and glasses for water for 7people. no dinning table and only one bathroom/WC for 7of us.

Size and location of apartment. Clean and tidy

TV kept cutting out. No oven or pizza oven dishes. Knife missing out knife block. Hot water turns cold sometimes.
