Nothing
I booked a two night stay and decided to leave after the first night . I was hoping to get a good night sleep but I was up most of the night my skin started to get irritated. The property looks scruffy it in desperate need of repainting. The paint on the walls and the skirting was chipped . The room doesn’t look like anything in the photos on the website . The room furniture was worn out and had dents . I will not be returning to the property.

I was put on room 9, which was directly over the bar, and as I needed to get an early night, was too loud for me, however I contacted reception and I was quickly and without any fuss moved to a quieter, and bigger room
The new room was much larger however, the general standard of the rooms are less than average. Wallpaper coming off the walls. No radiators, just a loud fan in the ceiling that didn't work.
Also the curtains were closed when I went in the room, but when I opened them on the morning, I was greeted by a mouldy milk container, which looked like it had been there a year.
The windows had a very decorative growth from the trees around them.
So in general, a very run down hotel, which needs a complete revamp.
I didn't try the food, but if the state of repair of the hotel is anything to go by, I'm glad I didn't.
It is passable, but I won't be returning.

Very slow filling breakfast bar up

Leaving
The bed mattress was poor, the spa was neglected the steam room didnt operate no heating on in the Hotel until 5pm.
Breakfast was very poorly presented with cheap bread and sausages. Coffee was horrible.
The breakfast gave us no confidence to have an evening meal there. Overall the building is neglected.
Not sure if Hotel will survive.

Location and facilities
Meals and drinks had to be paid at time of consumption and staff wouldn’t book it to the room

Helpful friendly staff, good breakfast, great pool!
Feels 'a bit tired' in its decor

The pool was really good
Room dated and dirty, room seemly mouldy, beds very old springs sticking out, breakfast very poor quality and choice of food, chairs broken and lots of dated and damaged features around hotel

Location
The room wasn’t clean, stains on the carpet, ripped curtain, very hot, no air conditioning, blocked sink and way too noisy. Breakfast was an absolute disgrace- the plates were dirty, cereal was stale, tea was stewed and cold and very limited choice. Definitely NOT value for money.

Friendly helpful staff. We booked a room not realizing it was different to a previous stay. Nothing was too much trouble to move us to the room we had the time before.
The swimming pool wasn't too inviting. A little cool!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially the chef. There were no vegan mains but the chef accommodated my needs.
My room was COLD!
The food was either too salty or bland.

We had a friendly greeting from Fintan on arrival and the receptionist was very helpful. My request to have our Border Terrier with us for the evening meal was no problem at all. Our room was more than we expected with a sofa, table & chairs with a couple of complimentary items for a proper feel good factor. The room was clean and tidy, however, the television did switch its self on at around 3am Sunday morning with Homer Simpsons' voice booming out!
Our evening meals, starter and main course, were of the highest standard and breakfast is always tasty.
This is our 4th time at Brook Mollington. Roll on number 5.
The piano music at dinner.

Unclean. Smelly. Disgusting

The pool was a treat. Nice view from the restaurant onto the garden. Some of the staff were wonderful and as helpful as they could be.
The room (17) didn't have a working side lamp and we had to settle for one that could only be plugged in across the room, but the staff member was very helpful in finding one for us. No hairdryer in the room.
Food in the hotel was overpriced for what I'd class as basic pub food. Drinks were very pricey.
Some of the staff were very sullen.
Would've been a great hotel in the early 90s, just felt a bit worn.

Pool was very very cold but I did like it that it was big
The price of room which we could never get in cause of dodgy door in room we had 2 tea bags 2 milks no sugar no coffee i went down stairs for coffee the Romanian guy on desk give me 2 coffees no milk no sugar when I asked for them..the heating goes off 6pm so you end up freezing in bedroom ,,duvet was so thin toilet paper was thicker.. swimming pool had tiles loose..sauna plug was hanging off on wall ..water in locker rooms .. no toilet paper.. even when we tried to hand our card key when leaving hotel next day the office person was not there he was down at pool talking to guy at desk so may people was complaining about lots of stuff it was like faulty towers meets carry on camping .. the manger will reply back on here I know .. but even he knows there is so many promlems with hotel yet little promlems he could sort out... real waste of money very big let down it was a treat for partner .. steam room and sauna never work or out of order so really we should get some money back the hotel should not charge the price they do with all the promlems they got and things out of order

Staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The leisure facilities were clean. Breakfast buffet was great, good choice and availability.
Only one socket in the room. Leisure facilities closed at 6 which is quite early, and the steam room was out of order- speaking to a member it's been out of action for a long time. The sauna is only big enough for 2 people so had to wait turns.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good. Room comfortable.
Very cold in room on arrival and in dining room. Radiator came on later in room so it soon warmed up.

The breakfast was adequate
There was an escape of water near to my room which I accept was no one’s fault and staff we’re trying to clear it up. This smelled awful and stank out the corridors leading to my room. This was still an issue the next day. In addition to this, I found the communal areas near the bar and dining room were cold and uncomfortable. The morning after the water escape began, and the following morning after that, I found that there was no heating in my room or hot water for me to have a shower. On discussing this with other guests at breakfast who were staying the other side of the hotel, I was, told they had no issues with warmth. On speaking to manager and asking why I wasn’t moved to the other side of the hotel, the manager did not accept there was an issue or that I should have been moved. On the one evening that I had an evening meal. The experience was poor. The mushrooms in the starter were so overcooked and hard they were like rivets. The main course was mediocre and staff were not attentive and kept disappearing. I found this hotels service to be a very poor standard and would not stay again.
