The property is in an excellent location.
Looking a bit tired. There was a stain on the ceiling of our bedroom. The shower was super powerful but this meant that the tray filled up too quickly and it was easy to flood the bathroom. We brought this to the attention of reception and they attempted to rectify the issue

Friendly helpful staff, room very clean and comfortable. Habib on reception gave us a free room upgrade and then he called us once we were in our room to check we were happy - fantastic service! Comfy bed, great size room. Breakfast is really nice - English and continental available, also have milk alternatives which was great for me.The location is great for the West end theatres. Lots of amenities surrounding the hotel.
4.5
Clean and comfortable room with excellent shower. I liked the fact that the window could be opened - and yet there was no traffic noise from outside at all. Quiet room in long corridor on the second floor (with a lift). Very helpful and courteous staff on reception. Nice gesture of free chocolates and mineral water as we arrived plus the offer of a later check out, which sadly we couldn't take due to work. Within walking distance (20 mins) along the Thames to the Bridge Theatre and lots of restaurants.
It was quite hot in the room when we arrived but we could turn the radiator down so could control this temperature overnight.

Location was great.
Local restaurants especially The Shell were very nice.
Nice powerful shower.
Linen clean and fresh.
Bar not open until evening.
Odd smell in the hotel, I expect it is to mask the damp.
Toilet seat not secured and moved about when sat on.
Coffee and water not replenished when room cleaned (stayed 2 nights), which is very petty.
Wooden windows rotten and would not shut, although one did not in fact have a handle, well it did but it was sitting on the inner cill board.
Grossly overpriced for the state of the hotel.

Perfect location, walkable distance to all main attractions, super clean - the whole place smells like clean as soon as you walk in, very friendly and considerate staff
Was a bit cold in the room

Great location & very friendly staff!
Quite dated & grubby interior. Expected a lot better from a Thistle hotel.

Location next to two tube stations is so convenient

Location was good
Incredibly strong musty stench and a perfumed cleaning spray or powder smell to mask the odor in hall and room. Windows had to be open to attempt to air out and windows had no screen so bugs came into the room.

Public areas are looking a bit tired

For a twin room the room was very small, lacked power points, to put the fan on you had to unplug the kettle or TV. Decor very tired and drab. Not very clean. Very poor standard for a Thistle branded hotel in London.
Size of room, and comments as above.

Friendly reception team. Great location with easy access to two underground stations. Clean room. Powerful shower. Problem with TV remote control was sorted out straight away.
Room quite small. Shower was so powerful that the curtain wasn't great at keeping the water in the tray.

My husband and I found the hotel very charming, we chose it because it was close to our points of interest, we were in town to see some musicals. The area seemed safe and we found quick access to food. Right next to the hotel there was a Costa Cafe, which allowed us to drink fresh and delicious coffee in the morning. The room was spacious, well lit, although we had single beds we both slept comfortably.
The only thing I would remember was that the bathroom was very cold which made it a bit difficult for a woman in the morning when we spend an eternity in the bathroom to put on make-up. Also the water in the shower had trouble adjusting to a not boiling hot temperature.

great location, polite, profession friendly staff. nice breakfast
rooms were a bit dated

Decent location.
Very dated hotel showing its age. Old windows which pass any sound through (I stayed on the first floor which overlooked an alley with several pubs - meant I couldn’t get to sleep until after the pubs had closed due to the noise).
When it came the breakfast, the food was ok but it was a free-for-all in that the staff were rarely around. I waited to be seated (as the sign instructed) and after about 5-10 minutes of waiting a staff member asked for by room number and then simply said “enjoy your breakfast”; no showing me to a seat, no explaining how the breakfast works or where to go.
I won’t be going back to this hotel.

Great location. Pretty central, with Russel Square underground nearby.
The staff were not attentive at all. We did request some coffee and tea for our room, and on the third day we were supplied with some.

When I spoke to the hotel about booking a taxi to get my daughter and I to the theatre we where told that wouldn't be a problem when we arrived to book in I asked about booking a taxi. We where told that as the hotel was on a main road to flag a taxi down which I found totally unacceptable.

Location. Both for travel from Euston Station and walking to Lincolns Inns Field the following morning.
Reception staff on the ball. Discussed my accessibility and bed preferences and allocated an appropriate room, which the receptionist accompanied me to.
Breakfast choices - hot and cold extensive and enjoyable.
Bedroom very comfortable; great TV screen.
Along with many other City centre hotels The food and beverage managers struggle to provide a service guests will use - especially in the events. Nearby outside facilities are extensive but guests like to be able to have a post dinner snack, or dessert and coffee back at the hotel. The focus was on expensive drinks - I only recognised one local beer.

Room was great. Clean, comfortable and quiet.
It was expensive.
