Double Tree Old town

Gute Lage. Die Metro ist direkt vorm Haus. Taxis können aber nur schwer zum Hotel gelangen, da die Straße für den Verkehr gesperrt ist und sie kompliziert durch die Hintergassen kommen müssen oder weiter entfernt warten müssen. Mit deutschen Standards eher ein 4 Sterne Haus. Die Sauberkeit war gut, aber nicht perfekt. Personal macht seinen Job und ist freundlich, aber nicht so super gastfreundlich wie man es aus Istanbul sonst kennt. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Sobald man das Zimmer verlässt, läuft die Klimaanlage und kühlt das Zimmer auf 18 Grad runter. Das konnte man leider nicht abstellen. Es dauerte dann eine ganze Weile bis es wieder warm wurde, da man die Klimaanlage auch nicht anders einstellen konnte. Ich schätze das Paneel war kaputt. Daher war es immer zu kalt im Zimmer. Im Bad lief auch immer eine Lüftung, die zwar nicht hörbar aber spürbar war. Die Zimmer zur Straße sind etwas laut, aber besser isoliert als andere Hotelzimmer in der Gegend.

«Уставший» отель с промятыми матрасами. Наверное, лет 10 назад он был модный и хороший. По факту сейчас - максимум три звезды, и то с натяжкой. Видавшие виды полотенца, которые меняли не каждый день. Кофе латте и апельсиновый сок в номер - (!!!) $50. 90% такси не смогут подъехать к отелю из-за его местоположения. Недружелюбный персонал. Попросил заказать такси за 30 мин до поездки - все подтвердили, а потом оказалось, что тупо даже не звонили в такси. Из-за этого опоздал на важную встречу. Шумные номера - до часа ночи будут греметь трамваи и толпы народа на улице. Кругом палатки с поддельной обувью и сумками - такое ощущение, что попал на черкизон конца 1990-ых. Крайне не рекомендую!

Hôtel super placé et au top!

L’accueil du personnel, que ce soit à l’accueil, au spa, au petit déjeuner, en particulier Gonca, très souriante, aux petits soins. Le spa est très propre et agréable pour se détendre après une longue journée de marche, la Literie est de très bonne facture.

I guess the Brand isn't the Same everywhere..

The location.

1) The room was not cleaned regularly, only beds made, countertops and room were not swept, sticky floors 2) Towards the end of the visit I noticed that the toilet was acting up, this was 2 days before we could check out and remained at the end of our stay, this was an indication that housekeeping was not doing the regular check ups.We had spent a night away from the hotel, and this was when it happended. 3) Reception has an invitation to ask for cookies no t&C's however on occasion when we did ask, the front desk staff, advised us that it is chargeable and not something that they offer, the tone was more chastising. 4)The location of the hotel prevents cars from driving to the main entrance, not conducive for those who are disabled or are wheelchair bound. 5) As an international brand in hospitality staff whatever level should be equipped to converse in the basic business English.

Excellent location and service.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient. The staff were amazing on all fronts. The restaurant was surprisingly good serving great meals in case you can't step out.

The facility is a bit dated.

It was a good staying but you should pay attention what kind of room will be asigned to you.

The room was clean, location was good and there was long variety of food for breakfast. People in the hotel at the reception were very nice.

I didn't like that every morning I have to tell my room number in order to have breakfast. That doesn't make me comfort. My room also didn't have windows outside so I couldn't open it in order to have fresh air. Price is higher compered to the services.

Lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staff

Nice hotel in a great position to explore the old town. The staff was very helpful. The Mattress was too soft, but they changed it on request, which was very helpful.

Modern 5 star stay in old town Istanbul

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel provides in-room dining 24/7 which is very unique. The rooms are well decorated and the hotel is in a good location making it accessible by walking distance to many areas like Faith, Bazar and Hagia Sofia on the European side of the city. There is a very nice rooftop restaurant with great views of the city. The room rates are quite good for a 5 star hotel.

The cleaning service was not great & the airport shuttle service is significantly overpriced with no reasonably priced option. The in room dining is very pricey as well.

5 Nights in Istanbul...

The hotel sits in the vibrant heart of the Old Town, surrounded by renowned landmarks and attractions. It's ideal for visitors eager to dive into the city's rich culture and history. Just a short walk away is the Grand Bazaar, a bustling marketplace with centuries of history. The Blue Mosque, a breathtaking example of architecture, is also nearby, offering a window into Istanbul's past. Plus, the area boasts various restaurants and hammams for an authentic Turkish experience. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the front desk could be a little more relaxed. Meanwhile, I can't remember the spa department head's name, but he and his team were extremely accommodating. They made our daily spa visits wonderful. And I must mention the room service team. They kept our rooms immaculate and stocked with fresh towels every day despite the chaos of my three kids.

During our hotel stay, we were shocked to find the 5-star terrace restaurant empty. The menu revealed why – outrageous prices like $30 for a cheeseburger and $20 for a small glass of wine. We knew it'd be pricey, but this was excessive. We may not be swimming in riches, but we possess enough intelligence to refrain from throwing money down the drain. Our breakfast experience was disappointing, with limited choices and average quality. Vegetables, processed meats & sausages, and limited cheese were nothing special, and at €25 per person, it was way overpriced for what was offered. I won't dive deep into the mini-bar prices, but it's worth noting that a 60g chocolate bar would cost you $10. Curiously, you could get the same bar for just $1.50 at the shop next door. While the hotel provided a pleasant and welcoming experience, I would like to suggest that the senior management carefully review the pricing structure for the restaurant and room service. By doing so, there is potential to increase profitability or alternatively, consider the possibility of closing the restaurant and room service. My advice to all visitors is to save your money and take advantage of the abundance of restaurants and café surrounding the area.
