Dinner was excellent
Two morning receptionist with bad attitude we were suppose to check in at 1:30pm they din not let us check in until 3:00pm. the one who starts at 3:00pm the day of our arrivals was spectacular

location! room had a wonderful view.
the food was not good. breakfast was OK. dinner was poor. dinner has a set menu and there are not many other restaurant options. set menu idea is fine but for the price and the fact they did not have lots of things to make, food should have been much better that it was. sometimes cold, overcooked (e.g., pasta).

Location right on the Barrancas del Cobre was stunning!!! Sunset and sunrise were surreal. Definitely worth the hype.
Definitely get the option to have meals included in the price when booking.
Rooms were beautifully decorated, heater inside the room and hot water for showers were great for the colder weather.
There was no wifi available in the rooms during our stay. Front desk said it was getting fixed so hopefully it won't be an issue.
Bar closes at 10pm but closed early the night we were there. The lobby has such a comfy area we wanted to enjoy some late night drinks by the fire but the bar was beating cleaned a little after 9pm.

Views from restaurant and our room were stunning. Staff super helpful
Food is pricy and mealtimes busy but views meant none of that really mattered

Of course, the view was spectacular and the room was very comfortable. The head waiter (Alberto?) was phenomenal. We loved sitting on the deck playing cards and just enjoying the scenery.
The 69 steps to our room! Probably wouldn't have been so bad if we could have gotten ice closer to our room. But we understand that's the price you pay for everyone having a great view!

Amazing location - loved sitting on balcony with fantastic views! Comfortable bed, delicious food; staff made great effort to accommodate vegan diet! Jaciel (maitre d?) in dining room extremely helpful!.
When making reservation, didn't realize property had SO MANY steps depending on where room is located - - needed to change rooms to accommodate mobility issues. Communication issues at reception but eventually all worked out.

Breakfast is good. But lunch and dinner are so expensive with very little servings and no other choice but whatever the chef decided to cook
Driveway needs a lot of improvement
Lunch and dinner are so expensive with very small servings
No choice on lunch and dinner but whatever the chef would prepare for the day.

Loved loved this hotel.
They send a minivan to pick up all the guest who come with the El chepe train and bring them back there as well, included in the room price.
The view was unbelievable. You can enjoy it in peace and quiet from your own balcony or from the restaurant.
They offer activities for okay prices. We did the winetasting. It was nice but the guy leading it couldn't speak English so it was a bit hard to follow as he spoke quit fast. All the front desk staff spoke English really well.
Also did the 6 am sunrise walk wich is so worth it, they take you to a very nice spot in the canyon to see the view and the sun come up. It takes about an hour. After you can go straight to breakfast wich was very diverse and tasty, so many choices.
We had very loud neighbors and the luckily had an other room available so the let us move. In the other room we slept extremely well. Very quiet, very comfortable beds.
I would recommend everyone to stay here.

The view is great! The bed is comfortable, it's like orthopedic.
It would be great if for the meals add it a menu then you can select what you want to take. For the breakfast, it would be great if more vegetables are included.

The views are really wonderful and worth the stay. The rooms are simple, but very comfortable and, very important, warm! Breakfast is good and well sorted.
The hotel is somewhat overpriced, but its location compensates. The food (dinner and lunch) is expansive for the amount served, specially due to the fact that there's no other option around.

The view is stunning, the beds are really comfortable, the staff is great.
The breakfast is good.
Very loud rooms, you can hear the steps, luggage and voices if you are in the first floor. I recommend to stay on a third floor room.
Dinner is a little bit expensive, it was a three course meal, by the time they brought my plate it was already cold. There is no options for vegan or vegetarian dishes, I had to pay 495 pesos for an avocado toast.
I would have liked to get different type of pillows, I like soft pillows and all the pillows in the room were firm.

The View of the Canyon
1. No alcohol (was told this was a government restriction) They offered us to hire a taxi car to the nearest store for 200 pesos person and only consume the alcohol in our rooms .
We walked it instead as it was very close . Then we requested ice for our cold beers and were told there was limited ice .
2. No heat . We were not told this at check-in but found a typed letter dated from the month before when we walked Into our room. We were offered pijamas if needed . Only because the evening temps had risen in recent days did we not change hotels and the cold was not an issue .
A month earlier temps were near or below freezing at night .
3. Rooms are old a dated and Require some maintenance . Toilet was about to fall over . Shower head felt like a large hose .
3. Internet was charged and only in the lobby for 5 and 24 hour periods paid only in cash at reception .
4. Dinner way over priced . 500 pesos for a simple soup , lasagna and dessert .. drinks not included . The servers had a hard time determining if my dinner was included after being told twice I would pay for it myself .
5. Staff did not always adhere to COVID protocols and cover their nose with their face mask . Exposing your nose is not compliance .
The staff was nice but placed in the difficult situation of having to defend the property at every turn . This hotel chain has several properties . We had just stayed at Their property in El Fuerte (Posada del Hidalgo) which was Far superior at half the price . Clearly the chain knows how to manage hotels but this one being so popular is lacking a bit .

The view and the staff
No internet, no enough food options for a vegan and they tried not to sell alcohol on a Saturday..
9.6 / 10.0
The view of Copper Canyon is exceptional. They also provided shuttle service to and from the train.
They charged for drinking water in the room.
8.8 / 10.0
- amazing view from balcony and dining room plus terrace
- free pickup from Chepe station (it's very close but steep and hard with suitcases)
- every room has a balcony with 2 chairs and a little table
- big room with the most comfortable bed and pillow I ever had
- extra blankets and heater for the cold nights
- everything very clean
- breakfast was okay but I expected more (we didn't book lunch and dinner)
- no WIFI
- just paying for the view, I think it's not worth the high price.
- a bit far from everything, there's almost nothing around. You'll find only one restaurant in the little town down the hill and will have to pay for transportation to the Adventure Park or walk a while (we chose the second option).
