The accommodation was beautiful with views out the Indian ocean. The staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The resort was peaceful and in a quiet location. The day spa is tranquil, excellent service and reasonable prices. We relied on the hotel restaurant for all our meals, the menu included a vast array of local and western options and the food was all very good. Riding bikes through the villages and talking the locals provided a very different experience in Bali.

Really confortable, you will have everything you need for a perfect and peaceful holiday.
Nothing to say.

We loved their vegan menu. We were so spoiled with delicious food. Incredible! Keep it up.
The WhatsApp communication worked really well. Whatever you wanted you could ask and on no time the problem was solved, your question was answered or food/drinks were delivered at your villa.
The villa is gorgeous and spacious . Amazing bedrooms and bathrooms. Lovely decorated and amazing views. We enjoyed our private pool. The washing machine also came in handy.
They provided scooters that we could use to drive to the nearby beaches.
We got to go to the beach for a turtle release from a nearby animal sanctuary. All well organised by the hotel and free of charge. What an amazing experience. Please keep on supporting the animal sanctuary. They deliver such good work!
The staff at the hotel is amazing and everyone is so friendly. It was our pleasure to stay with you. We will come back one day!

Great hidden gem! The place is between small villages near Indian Ocean. A lot to see and expletive real Balinese life. Highly recommended for families and those who would like to experience local life.
Everything was perfect for us.

Everything about the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, the property was beautiful with a gorgeous view overlooking the ocean across layers of rice fields, the swimming pool was amazing, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety. We were there for 6 nights after a week at a quite disappointing hotel in Ubud. This place made everything right, and we did not want to leave! Perfect for anyone and families looking for a calm and relaxing base in Bali with or without trips to bigger cities and/or for different activities. The hotel restaurant is quite good but can be costly and get boring if you eat every meal there. For a change and for more local (and much cheaper) taste, we went to this local restaurant in a few min biking distance from the hotel for almost every lunch and loved their food.
The only thing was the smell of the drain in the bathroom that slightly annoyed me (because I have an ultra sensitive smell), but it didn't seem to bother my family.

Sahaja Sawah Resort is truly a piece of paradise. We travelled all over Bali for a month, and this was the most idyllic location we found, set amoungst rice fields, a river, jungle and ocean views. Every staff member is friendly and kind, and it feels like one big family. The private villas are huge, and contain everything you could possibly need, with lots of thoughtful extras for a family such as plastic dinnerware and cutlery, and icy pole maker in the freezer. They are beautifully decorated and you can buy some of the items in their shop. There's books and games to borrow in the lobby, a well stocked shop with gifts, snacks and toys to buy and a wonderfully huge main pool where you will meet many friendly families also enjoying their holiday. There's so many activities and classes to participate in to fill in your days, or go out exploring the beautiful rural area on their free scooters (they even have helmets for kids). I highly recommend visiting the Hindu water temple Pura Kelecung just around the corner. It's a magical place!
The therapists at the resort day spa are excellent and the tranquil setting along the river and jungle is so peaceful. The restaurant provides are wide range of meals, and are all very tasty. I particularly recommend their Balinese dishes, especially the Nasi Campur. The only suggestion I have is to book longer than you are planning, as you won't want to leave this paradise once you've arrived!
Nothing. It was perfect!

Everything was just perfect! Beautiful traditional Bali surroundings, extremely kind staff, great facility, free short term scooter use to explore the beach, padi fields and local villages. This property is amazing!

Great resort. Great staff. Have scooters that you can take to the beach for free for a couple of hours. Board games to play. Nice pool. Is in a remote location, but that is what we were looking for. Great place for the price.

We booked the Villa and loved it. The airconditioning was strong enough to cool the vast space that we had. Loved the fact that the villa had closed living area that was airconditioned.
The property had bicycles for free to use and a motorcycle for 2 hours a day.
We had food in our villa daily.

Bed was comfortable
So many issues...
There is no such thing as a private pool or private villa in the "private" place we booked. We booked a private pool as my wife wanted to swim with her scarf off. It said it was private so that's the reason we booked in the first place. Unfortunately as you can see from the photos there is nothing private about perverts standing behind trees trying to peer into the villas. There is also the resorts garden with gardeners working everyday. The only thing between us and the garden is a wall about 2 feet tall. 0 privacy as advertised.
We left halfway thru our stay due to food poisoning from the kitchen. The one time my wife and I didnt share a dish (banana blueberry smoothie) from the kitchen and my wife got shocking food poisoning. Idk if they mixed tap water into or something but my wife was very sick. So sick we asked to see the "on-call" doctor. To which the reception staff stated that he doesn't work at this hour!!?? That response was the straw that broke the camels back and we left the next morning to be somewhere that actually had on-call medical staff
As nice as the staff are they clearly dont know what they're doing or saying. The same lady who checked me in and i paid for the room in total tried to charge me for the room again when i checked out. Luckily i double checked the receipt!
The restaurant menu is big, but half the items i tried to order weren't in stock. The breakfast that is included is shockingly boring after the 2nd day there. 10 items, 4 of them being eggs just cooked differently.
Housekeeping did pretty much nothing. They swept the floor and made the bed. They didn't collect any rubbish, didnt collect any dirty towels we left on the bathroom floor. Our villa was full of ants eating dead bugs or in the kitchen. Definitely not cleaned properly!
The shower is shocking, the water pressure is so low that the water comes out and is barely strong enough to wash the soap off your skin.

this facility had everything we needed as a family with children.

Very picturesque surroundings.
Took a long time to get to other major attractions in Bali. Traffic on the roads is a major problem. Also, one problem was having to contend with gecko and house lizard droppings in the rooms.

Our second time staying in this beautiful resort. It was a rainy Christmas break but it did not dampen the experience. Wonder place. See you again soon
Water pressure was a little low. But hot water always on tap so it's a small inconvenience

Spacious villa... complete set of kitchen utensils. Comfortable room. Free use of bicycle. And mostly: the beautiful surroundings and village.
Only the internet connection was a little bit slow... but then it has been fixed. So okay.

It was the perfect location to put my family for a week. Staff is so nice, understanding and anything.
Place is quite far from many places

Lovely quiet (remote) location
Very good breakfast
Great rooms, we had 2 bedrooms, a living area and a well-stocked kitchen
Hotel food and shop are expensive (relative to local prices) and there are very limited options locally to go elsewhere. For local food restaurant charges 4 times more than you would expect to pay. On-site shop choice is limited and prices 2-3 times normal, local shop prices.
Property has a gym but not all equipment works

I like the space that's given in every unit. It provides enough space for families to relax and enjoy their stay. The kids love the pool and the sun beds..
I also enjoy the great spa at a great location by the river. Super relaxing!
The aircon was not working properly in both rooms. We complained and the staff responded immediately. After the long day repair, it seemed working but only for an hour. After that the aircon gets hot again. I think you need to replace it with the new aircon.
