The room was nice but was a bit too warm even with the heating off. Bathroom lock was dodgy and i got stuck inside, had to call someone to open the door.

It looks exactly as advertised. Room size is good.
Bathroom is clean and big, looks like renovated not long ago.
A more obvious signage is needed as we missed it when we drove at night.

Excellent sized room, comfortable bed, great value and ideal for a couple of days in Newcastle. Plenty of free parking or you could walk into town (about 20 minutes) or take a bus from outside. I would highly recommend.
Nothing!

I don’t complain but this hotel was baaaaad! Main complaints no soundproofing so if they put you in a hotel next to the the road it’s literally like sleeping on on the road! I asked to be moved and they told me it would take 40 mins to move to another room with the same manky brown pillows. I swallowed the cost and moved elsewhere dreadful

The room was good in a good location
Having to pay £10 to check in just over an hour early despite the receptionist confirming the room was ready

Lovely big room and very clean.
breakfast was massive (the eggs benedict was amazing) . Due to the breakfast being served in their onsite Indian Restaurant, they did not serve pork on the English breakfast - however, didn't detract.. Had smoked turkey rashers and beef sausages which were lovely.
Back to their restaurant (Akbar's) - AMAZING!! The best naan bread ever, amazing food throughout, and lovely staff. We ordered one dish that was too hot for my partner, but we were just going to swap - however, they said it was no trouble to take it away and re-do - which they very kindly did. We were well looked after - and the prices were very reasonable indeed, I'd say they are pre-covid prices..
Can't fault anything

Very spacious room with a king size bed.
Pleasant and helpful staff.
Shower was a bit dodgy but I made it work.
No hand soap or shower gel in the bathroom but not a big issue as I went down to reception for some.

The location is perfect if you have a car and plan to visit not just Newcastle but Northumberland. It is located in a very easy entrance to the city, avoiding all the traffic. It has a big and save parking space where you can leave the car and walk to the city centre.
The staff was very nice, including the Indian restaurant that is located at the hotel. The food was delicious.
The room was clean and every day they made it up it perfectly.
The room was a bit noisy, you could hear the cars and you could hear perfectly the people in the corridor, however we had some quite noisy "neighbours" and it is a very nice old historic house.
The room it was also quite cold, and the bathroom took a while to ventilate.
4.5
Another good stopover at this central hotel. Very good secure car parking.
Close to football stadium and city centre.
Staff were very polite and helpful as always.
Room was great size as was the ensuite bathroom with good shower. Very very clean.
Huge king size double bed.
Large wall mounted TV with Freeview and Netflix
Coffee and tea facilities
Great stay thanks, great value.
Highly recommended
Room was very hot with under floor heating difficult to control
Easy walk downhill to city centre but need to be fit to walk back up again. Buses are good and frequent though.
Bit of a noise last night due to police chasing joyrider very close to hotel at 1am. Not much owners can do about these last two things.

wee dusty and not too clean on the bedding and towels

They tried to charge me £100 on the night for the room which was £45 on site £50 normally, i said I had booked with booking.com and eventually £45 was accepted. I was charged another £100 and wasn’t informed of any reason.
I contacted them and they said someone had smoked in the room and showed an old table in a photo. This wasn’t true, they couldn’t or wouldn’t give evidence and I suspect there are no fire/smoke alarms or they would have gone off. I personally don’t smoke and would expect fire prevention aids. They wanted £100 from me which they just took from my bank account, I will not be using are promoting this site for this reason.

Big room and big bed; clean; good location; kind staff; very good location
parking slots very small; the room was quite hot despite reducing the heater temperature; no towel holders in the bathroom
