Booking in was easily done .
I hated the dull black colour . The bathroom was poorly stocked and the bath products were badly placed: too high up to reach comfortably.
The hot water tap on basin couldn't open. The heated towel rail didn't heat.
An unwelcoming bedroom.

Location excellent with a great view of the Tyne and Quayside. Nice public areas,.dark is the theme so may not suit all but very atmospheric. Nice hotel bar and breakfasts were very relaxing and super tasty. Really like the buffet fruit, yogurts, juice, cereal, toast and coffee and the menu for cooked breakfast. Both staff in the breakfast hall were lovely and nothing too much trouble when we wanted to vary from the menu.
Sink in our room was in a poor state of repair and quite stained. In general I expected a more luxurious space. But otherwise a good size and very comfortable.

I arrived at the hotel to find out it was overbooked and didn’t have a room for me. Hotel blamed Booking and Booking blamed hotel. I still don’t have a refund

The Reception staff could not have been more friendly or helpfull, excellent.
The quayside was a busy place, not staying there before we didnt know what to expect, still lots people milling around 3 am.

The room was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and courteous, I didn't realise until arrival that the room included parking so that was a huge bonuse
It was a bit of a walk into the city proper but this was easily countered with taxis or having a drink along the Quayside

Location
Poor value and apparently didn’t have any river view rooms. Looked over a car park

Got one of the suites. It was huge. Huge bathroom with shower and bathtub. Very comfy room
Not much. It was great!

Good location, comfortable
Had a Club room and faced another building, despite being Quayside hotel.
Hotel Bar closes at 1:00, no night service

On first arrival the reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts were great with a good choice and again the staff so friendly. We would 100% stay in this hotel again for the above reasons and also the location.
4.3
Location excellent and nice decor/furnishings, comfy bed
Scaffolding outside was disappointing, should have been pre-warned and dark lighting/lack of lighting in room was an issue when applying makeup and bathroom not good enough standard

Excellent location.
We didn’t have a river view and there was a noisy delivery on early Sunday morning.

Location great. Room and view fab. Bed very comfy. Lovely gent on reception checked us in on arrival even though we arrived early morning due to flight time. Asked for more coffee tea etc and they were sent to our room in no time. Excellent food in hotel restaurant and lovely view of The Tyne from window seat.
Low level lighting makes it just a bit too dark …

Loved the Malmaison, wished that we had been able to stay longer. Location is perfect for exploring and very scenic. Food was wonderful and every staff person we had contact with was very helpful, warm and kind. Abby who took care of us at dinner was top notch!

Close to the quayside, good multi-storey car park opposite the hotel, Starbucks in hotel…
Rooms good be bigger for the price, could do with a decent coffee in the room being available, difficult to get near a good mirror for makeup etc.

The reception staff are amazing and so very helpful, I had a disabled friend and they couldn't be kinder to us and as helpful.
The hotel taxi service is something to review, we waited a long time for a taxi and when it arrived the driver didn't have a clue where we were going, we had to google and give him directions and he did not know where to park or get close to the building and my disable friend had to walk a lot further than she needed too, he didn't know what to charge us as he forgot to put the peter on and was not happy to charge by machine and wanted cash. Not sure about it being executive travel.

Beautiful hotel, staff very good and location brilliant
Stunning hotel, our room was so nice
