Loved the beautiful grounds and the clean and comfortable rooms. Anna was extremely helpful in lining up a tour guide, restaurant recommendations and taxis. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Already hoping to make it back to the Banana Lodge for another visit!

We loved our stay! Location is easy to get to and overlooks the beautiful Rio Misahualli. Rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved the shower. We had breakfast there each morning. It was great with fresh fruit, coffee, juice, eggs, rolls, jam & butter prepared just for us. Anna and Eduardo were wonderful hosts who answered all our questions. Their recommendation for a river boat guide was excellent. Highly recommend!! This was our 3rd trip to Ecuador and consider it a safe country and won't hesitate to come again.
We liked everything!

The grounds are beautiful, right on a gorgeous river that you can get into. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfest was great.

Excellent breakfast and awesome location.

Charming lodging in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Rooms were quiet and comfortable for us. Linens and facilities were clean. My husband appreciated the AC and fans. Teen children were happy to have internet in our downtime and I was enamored with the plants and the wood paned windows. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Lodge is far enough away from town to feel private and still, yet close enough to go eat and get supplies as needed. Would certainly come back.
Perhaps more pillows.

The location is very good, since the lodge is located next to the Misahualli River, with direct access from the property to the river. It is less than 1 km from the property to the center of Misahualli (you can leave the car park at the lodge and comfortably walk to the center)
The attention is personalized and very good!. The cleanliness and space in the rooms are OK. There is also a cafeteria with a fridge, kitchen and everything you need. The gardens are very beautiful!
Something where put soap and shampoo in the shower is missing. We had to left both in the floor

The location is amazing: right on the river with a little beach to take a refreshing dip. The garden surrounding the accommodation units is beautiful. The room was very comfortable. To top it all, to our surprise we weren't bothered by mosquitoes at all.

In a lovely location overlooking the river. The room was generous in size with a large terrace looking through the garden onto the river. Breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty.

On the outskirts of town, right on the river. Quiet and peaceful, I loved how the breakfast shack was separate from where you stay, they had little sitting nooks everywhere on the property, and a lovely little beach where you can take a dip! Honestly better than I imagined, owners are very knowledgeable and always available to give advice and help you enjoy Misahualli.

an absolutely wonderful lodge. very clean, very comfy, very quiet. it has all you may need: breakfast, but also a guest kitchen, laundry service, the host was extremely helpful as we had booked a wrong room first but it was no problem at all.
the rooms are really beautiful and spacious as well as the garden that is made with lots of love and cute corners to relax. and we really liked that it lies a short walk outside of the center piazza of the mini city of Misuahulli.
10 out of 10 recomend:)

Room with 3 beds and terrace pleasant for 2 nights; says 12 sqm but has at least 18; secure parking; kitchen & fridge for guests; host Anna very helpful: recommended restaurants, organized Amazonas boat tour for us with Carlos Santander from runawatours in Puerto Misuahalli, an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced guide; sits right above the river-swimming possible
Bathroom could benefit from a fresh-up; lodge a bit outside the village; walking back at night after dinner in the village is not very comfortable, while everybody says it’s safe.. Looks like Puerto Misahualli is experiencing tough times.

The yard and river behind makes it look excluded, it is beautiful, quiet, relaxing. Owners are super friendly, she has amazing hand made juellleries.
Just mKe sure you have cash to pay, online paying has big fees and exchange rate is not good one. It's not Banana loge fault tho

Lovely place with direct access to the river Misahuallí, so you can go down and take a dip. The property was lovely and well taken care of, the room was tidy, and the breakfast was great. The host was helpful and recommended tons of activities to do in the surrounding area. The lodge is a short walk from the center of town, offering easy access to all activities while providing a quiet atmosphere. Will return if I'm ever back in Misahuallí.
Everything was lovely, can't recommend it enough.

Right in front of river and rainforest. Big beautiful garden with cute cats and rabbits. Clean cozy spacious room. We stay at the ground floor, there is no A/C in our room, but it doesn't feel hot at all.
Fresh breakfast with many kinds of fruits. Big parking spot.
It's a little far from town center, but walkable distance.
The owner Anna is very nice and happy to help.
Nothing.

It was a great location, great rooms, very clean
The only meal offered was breakfast. It included 2 eggs, fruit, bun, juice and coffee
or tea. The cost was $5/person. We found this extremely expensive considering breakfast costs elsewhere.

Beautiful garden and rainforest view. Right in front of river. Cozy and relaxing public area(surprisely no many mosquitoes in the garden). 2 lovely rabbits always jump around.
Clean cozy spacious quiet room with garden view. Great breakfast with a lot fresh fruits in a restaurant surrounded by trees flowers birds.
There is a public kitchen for guests, it's clean and well equipped. We like it.
Town center is in walkable distance.
Anna and her husband are great hosts. They introduce us many local animals and make us feel so welcomed.

We loved staying at banana Lodge! The owners are super helpful and helped us to organize our activities. The agency that they recommended for a day tour was one of the best tours we did here. Also, the area of the lodge is very nice, there are hammocks to see the stars at night and the breakfast was great too!

Location is wonderful, right on the banks of the Rio Misahualli! Loved the covered hammock common area overlooking the river (and even a bench press with weights). The rooms are spacious modern comfortable with wifi hot water fan (a/c optional). Grounds are lovely. Breakfast good. Laundry service available. Location secure. Owners Anna & Eduardo are very nice and helpful. If you’re looking for peace and beauty away from Tena city, this is the place!
It didn’t bother me but should be noted that it’s about a 10 min walk to the very small Misahualli town center (necessary for dinners and optional tour excursions) and the lodge itself is a 20-30 min taxi ride ($10) from Tena if you don’t have a car.

Peace and tranquility along Misahualli River yet close enough to the town square for convenience. Appreciated the option of ceiling fan and AC during these exceptionally hot days. Many special hangouts (rocks along river, hammocks and hammock swings, chairs and tables) all around the property. Delicious breakfast. Love coming back again and again.
time too short

The room, the grounds, the people, the cleanliness! I would definitely stay here again!
The wifi wasn't great. The town had very little food options.
