Property is beautiful and the staff are lovely. You can have a very comfortable stay generally but don’t be fooled by the stars.
This is not five stars and I’ve no idea how it can say it is? It’s understaffed and in need of several updates. There is a hole in the ceiling of the dining room where the fan is pulling down, the sink in my shower lifted off the wall, my sink was patched with chaulk, and the rooms, ac and safety deposit boxes are from the 90s. The lack of signage on a property this big was also very confusing, especially at night since there’s not much lighting. The food selection was also so so, and very very heavy and American. There was limited options for vegetarians and almost impossible to find a smoothie or fruit as a snack. As a solo traveller it’s not the most welcoming either, with the staff hiding me away in corners at meals until I insisted on nicer seating. Generally the staff were lovely and helpful but overall the whole thing just didn’t live up to expectations.

The resort is well kept and the staff is very nice and accommodating. My room was comfortable, especially the bed. Large bathroom with walk in shower. The food was pretty good. The best massages are given on the beach. Be prepared to see wildlife, this resort is in the middle of nature.
Bring your walking shoes, the resort is spread out and very hilly, so although they provide transportation, if you don’t want to wait, you have to walk. The resort is very quiet. It has an older people and couples vibe. Although the food is good, choices are limited to the buffet, a snack bar and two restaurants (if you can get a reservation. I booked ocean front but it was really a limited view of the water through the trees.

Location was great. Transportation to and from the surrounding area.and nearby attractions/ restaurants/activities was poor.
The food was ok but very repetitive. The dining option were limited and enrty into the ala carte restuarants on the property were limited to 1 for every 3 days of the stay. This seems inconsistent with it being all inclusive. Need more option especially given the lack of transportation to nearby restaurants off the property
Also the check in out process did not go smoothly . We were delay on the day of departure when the front desk did not provde a ticket needed to depart when I turned in the room keys. Instead they simply took tthe keys and said nothing. When we we at the gate tl leave the guard refused to let us go withiut it. We had to back and specifically ask for the ticket

The property was not over crowded or to loud and noisy.
There isn’t a shuttle running to any attractions in the area.
4.5 / 5.0
The a la carte restaurants, the views and the staff.
The A/C was too old, made too much sound and didn't make the room cold enough.

We liked the location and most of the food. The view is amazing.
Some staff were very friendly.
Others not so much. We think the people checking you in and welcoming you to the property should probably be your friendliest and helpful.
One woman basically called us a liar when we informed her our minibar was missing all the alcohol. We had just arrived and noticed it was supposed to be there. When we told her, she said the paper said it was full so “not calling you liars, but the person who cleaned the room said it was all there” and then did nothing.
It’s all inclusive, they filled up cups with only rum to the top is you asked. We didn’t need to sneak beer! 🙄
We were only there because our safe was locked too and we had to wait a whole day for security to show up to open it so we could store our valuables in it so we would feel comfortable, leaving and exploring the area.

The location is beautiful, restaurant & pool bar staff friendly, seafacing room 405 was nice. They also provided 2 local beers, 2 water and 2 soft drinks daily in the room bar fridge.
The food was unappetising (bland, overfried, overcooked) No entertainment, and the soundbar at the swim-up bar didn't work most of the time during our 10-nights stay.

Not enough towels left in room. There was no small wash rags to soap and wash your skin. Very bad!!
More should be left in the room refrigerator. There was no water left in room. The terrace door was opened by housekeeping and I did not check; I heard a noise and there was a racoon in the room. I screamed and my husband woke up. That was very bad.

The reception area was bright and inviting. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They took care to listen and help me with the process of checking in and explaining how everything works.
I didn’t like that there were no shower curtains or doors for the shower room.
No face rags/wash cloths were in the bathroom. I had to request those.
The shampoo/conditioner/liquid soap were not labeled.

The food was amazing, especially the Italian restaurant. It’s right on the beach in the bay with hardly any waves. pretty decent snorkeling. The staff was so friendly and professional, especially the bartenders.
The fish at the buffet was a little over cooked as well as the scrambled eggs. However, the poached eggs were excellent, as well as the rest of the food.

I enjoyed the transportation from the lobby to our room. They not only drop you off to your room but they also carry the bags up the stairs for you as well.
I’m an understanding person especially when it comes to understaffing, however room service was extremely slow. Had to call the receptionist three times just to get more towels. I’d suggest new phones for the room. I also suggest new beds for building 200 bc our bed was extremely hard. The shower also could use some working. I also think you guys should update your buffet and bar.

Hard to navigate as the resort is on hill
unclean room, lack of stay support

We liked the room with great views over the pool to the sea. 30mins easy drive from Liberia Airport. Playa Iguanita was a beautiful castaway beach but you need a good 4x4 to get there over a rough road and there’s no cafe or services. Just a campsite
You get what you pay for. It’s not a 4* hotel in respect to food. The buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner were very average. Booking the al la carte restaurants was a nightmare, some people were queuing from 7am to book. The food in the Italian was better quality & service. The entertainment is poor. The resort is expansive and set in a steep bowl so if you struggle walking or steps beware, but they do offer a resort shuttle. But at a cost of £250 per night all inclusive it’s good value if you accept 3*. Trade up for Premium is worth it but can only do it as you arrive. There’s a small number of pool chairs with shade/umbrellas. It doesn’t take much to sort this and stop the early morning fights for chairs.

we just used it a one night stop over as it was close to the airport. which meant we didn’t have to think about food and could get a good catch-up sleep. so it fitted our purpose perfectly.

The staff and the close the beach was. Perfect for resting.
Room had few lights inside so the courtains should be open to have light.
