The lines in the bars

Excellent amenities, beautiful beach, many pools, good restaurants.
4.0 / 5.0
Super pools, main restaurant excellent. Lovely big family rooms. We had four nights at this resort & feel very relaxed almost feels like a week.
The themed à la carte restaurants were poor. The bathroom has a curtained bath shower - very dated.
2.0 / 5.0
The buffet restaurant was poor. There was no variety the food was always the same. The Greek restaurant was lacklustre, the Italian quality was better along with the Mexican although the food was cold and took a long time to arrive. The staff were rude and took a long time to take our order approx 20 minutes.
The service in the restaurants and lobby bar was very poor, including being told rudely to sit down and order at our table then having to wait 30 minutes to order our drinks.

Beautiful views over the entire property.
Wonderful arrangement in which all of the Mitsis hotels were accessible to guests.
Great evening entertainment, something for everyone. Also a lovely touch was an Easter egg hunt for the children.
Extensive menu and a la carte restaurants.
Wonderful maid service, we didn’t get her name but she was so lovely, friendly and kind especially to our children.
Great beachfront location with many sun loungers and also around the pools.
Beach bar, crepes and ice creams and diner menu available for all day snacks. Great kids pool with slides and safe environment.
Buffet and ice cream/crepes staff were especially welcoming and friendly as were the pool bar waiters. The golf buggy driver was fantastic, very friendly and fun!
Some staff were particularly unhelpful. Pool maintenance guy refused assistance to retrieve my daughters inflatable which had floated out of reach. Said he didn’t speak English but it was extremely obvious what we were requesting…
Room service missed a couple of our plates off our order, and the service took over an hour by which time we were very tired.
One day at the pool bar I queued for 25 mins before being served, and although we did have a few waiters come to ask for our drinks orders, they were few and far between over our stay.
One evening at the Greek a la carte restaurant we had all finished our starter and main meal and my 9 year old daughter still had not received hers. When I asked I was told that it was made by a different restaurant so that was the reason. This could be easily timed properly to arrive together.
The food was excellent quality but very small portions. Our family and the family sat on the next table went to eat again after leaving which is surely a false economy.
Booking an a la carte restaurant proved difficult. On the 5 nights we stayed there was only availability for 2 evening meals at the Greek and 1 availability for a lunch. Had we known they got booked quickly we would have booked as soon as we arrived.
There was power cut to our room which we were told would be 2 hours until it was but was much longer (at least 5 hours) which prevented us charging our devices, taking a shower or making a cup of tea in the morning. We came back after lunch and couldn’t get in our room due to the key card system being electric. This was frustrating. We were not offered a different room. When I mentioned it to the reception, we were told it was a ‘whole island’ thing but this was not truthful as the main building had working lifts and power.
Honesty is always the best policy Christos.
Our check in time was at 2pm. We arrived at 5.30 and our room wasn’t ready for an hour.

staff really friendly, they reallocate us in a new room. also amazing water in the sea. all facilities were really good.
3.5 / 5.0
Nice view from the rooms.
Food is good in the main restaurant.
Rooms are clean and well decorated, the mini bar is free of charge and renewed.
The staff is incredibly polite and helpful.
There are a lot (and I mean A LOT) of pools across the hotel.
Pools are not heated in autumn, not even one.
Restaurants across the facility are below average in food quality.
Non-carbonated soft drinks are awful, Lipton for tea and concentrated juices; it's weird to serve unlimited wine and beer but not fresh orange juice.
SPA is not included, not even the pool; there's no privacy from the SPA reception and staff, no changing rooms, no fans in the toilet (SPA is located in a separate facility from the living area so you have to run backwards with wet hair).
Coffee machine in the room but no capsules? What's the point?
Not related to the hotel itself, the invited car rental company gave us a damaged car that wouldn't go into reverse. No discount on drop off, of course.

We liked the architecture, the fine decoration, the great beach (quite packed sunbeds though), and the generous sushi boot. The enthusiastic sports team staff. The great gym is well equipped by Katerina who manages it. But will definitely NOT recommend this overpromising resort. Read below to discover the uneducated staff and very average canteen food issue.
Approx €300 / night It was quite disappointing mainly for two reasons.
1 A lot of uneducated/unmotivated staff not polite by nature. We had an argument with the entrance grooms at minute 1 of our arrival. After 3000 km of travel, we parked our vehicle next to their private vehicles and carts. We clarified it with reception who pointed to the right spot to use but we were still in the middle and had to argue and return to the reception again because it was still not pleasing the grooms. Lost 20 minutes back and forward until they all got their eggs together. Us being the bad guys of course... What a miserable welcome.... Never seen so many rude staff in one hotel altogether (beach bar, beach maître d'hôtel). Here and there some employees do their job with their heart- but really a tiny minority.
2 As a lot of other travelers pointed out on booking.com the food quality is below the average hotel food. We only used the main restaurant once because the plates were not clean, and the water did stink of detergent. Flies were all around the food which was totally tasteless and unhealthy anyway. Perfect place if you are on diet :-) All we had was sushis in the afternoon. We had diners in town although we had an all-inclusive package. For real greek food go to Kardamaina to Avli taverna for example to Perikles in Mastichari for fish. Mytsis kos emphasis is on alcoholic beverages you'll see by the size of the bar and the number of barmen around. This is how they try to make travelers forget the downsides of the resort along their journey. Loads of unlimited cheap alcohol flowing. Combine it with unhealthy food and you are just in hell if you don't drink as we do. Definitely an overpromising max 3-star hotel.
Conclusion: Efforts are wasted by the cheap rude staff, unhealthy tasteless food, and management also gone on holidays. You may prefer Neptune in Mastichari where we also stayed. Nothing comparable.

Good breakfast, dining hall and style a little dated, lots of new concepts on how to serve and supply buffet in hotels now would be worth considering more modern ways
Night time buffet was never very warm, difficult to get into al a carte restaurants when hotel is busy

Hi all!
Calm and quality seaside vacation. The staff is polite and professional. The hotel is conveniently located and deserves its stars. The sea is beautiful). The food is great. There are a lot of things that could still be credited to the staff)). Sometimes it's windy in June, but it's even interesting

All was great. The only regret is that we were not able - not even once - to eat in one of the à la carte restaurants. When we arrived we found out that all was booked until the end of the month. We should have been told in advance...

Location is great
Room spacious and clean
Facilities well maintained
Reception staff did not provide any information on check in and were generally unhelpful throughout stay.
Shows did not take place during stay.
Number of lunch restaurants closed in the days leading up to departure
Poor choice of food for vegetarians at buffet and a la carte.
Drinks and toiletries in room were not replaced and replacement had to be requested on several occasions.
Overall not a 5 star experience.

Nice hotel with stunning view. Pools are amazing with lots of different options for swimming. The a la carte restaurants were good but you have to book long in advance! Most of the staff were really friendly, specially Mimosa from the breakfast team.
Lovely cocktails and nice atmosphere on the main bar.
The food in the buffet restaurant was average , more like a canteen. Lukewarm food and poor quality!
Our room (twin sea view) next to the metal staircase was extremely noisy. After complaining for a few days and having no response, we ended up demanding another room and had to almost argue with the reception who always had an excuse but at the end a new room was given.
Gym is outdated with old equipment.

Beautiful resort. Immaculately clean. Food great and lots of choice. All members of staff fantastic. Good beach with crystal clear sea. The bus service to Kos was very convenient.
The evening entertainment in the bars was low key, which is fine, but the theatre could be better utilised for more exciting shows.
The 4 restaurants by the beach were great but tended to be fully booked - we were lucky.

I had an amazing time staying at the resort. Really friendly and lovely staff, they were always working with a smile on their face. Wonderful spa, beach and top class restaurants. I loved the beautiful views, unlimited alcoholic drinks, beach front a la carte restaurants and cleanliness of the resort!

Great infrastructure and location, beach was very well set as well. Rooms are spacious and everything was always very clean!
Staff wasn’t always as friendly as I wish they were and the food was just okay (however there is definitely plenty of choice), I expected more from a premium hotel.
My request for a late (extra charges apply) checkout was refused as well even though the hotel wasn’t that full in my opinion.

The food, drinks, staff, pools, beach, restaurants were all great!
On the odd occasion staff didn’t provide all the relevant information and a couple of times said they’ll arrange something which turned out that they didn’t.
That is minor constructive feedback. We had a brilliant experience overall!

Excellent choice of food options . Beautiful landscaping, pools etc. Attentive staff.
Needed to book at theme restaurants and by the time we got here there was no availability for our entire stay -a “word” with the concierge sorted that but had it not we would have been very disappointed. Advice- Book your tables when you book your stay!

Well this property has lots of positive points. We as a familly had so much fun there. Our room had a good view of pools and sea, equiped with bathtub and shower , nice wooden furniture and great lightening and a cozy balcony.
Staff were so helpful and nice , well there are always some exceptions.
You cannot get hungry or thirsty beacuse there are lots of buffet, restaurants and so on for you to enjoy Although it was high season and sometimes too busy .
We were dining at the main restaurant on 23:00 , it is open for late check-ins. Pool bar is located in a lovely spot . At the main bar you will have live music every night. Many refreshments were available at the beach bar.
Normally there were always free sun shades available both by pools and beach. The beach is clean with clear water and you will find watersports for adults and for kids but the prices were so sharp.
Room service was perfect , also they check rooms every eveing for possible requests. Every morning new beach towels, filling up free minibar , coffe and so on ...
Well the variety of foods was good during breakfast , launch and dinner but they were almost the same as everyday. Besides near pools you can enjory burgers, pitas, healthy points, sushi and ofcourse lovely atmosphere.
On our last night , we recieved some lovely souvenirs unexpectedly when we came back from dinner.
I found this property a paradise for any kind of photography, nice scenes of sun shine , green trees , flowers, pools and architectural views.
There is one thing which was very disappointing for me, all pools except one little kids pool have salty water , it is pumped directly from sea water at the beach. So naturally we couldnt have any real experience of normal water in pools !!!
Another annoying thing was serving the drinks during meals in all restaurants. This might seems somehow a great service but First you should order for your drinks to the waiters , and they will bring them for you , many times so late or wrong type of drink , even for water in the rush hours you may wait up to 10 minutes.
There are lots of free parkings at the hotel , but there was no place with a roof or shade and in the summer time ... wow too hot when you get in your car.
Just As a recommendation to hotel: our room 443 was just beside a metal stair way which makes a lot of noise when people walk on that specifically early mornings and late nights, might have solution to reduce the bang bang sound of it.

Amazing holiday the hotel is huge and has everything you need
4.5 / 5.0
The room - we had a twin sea view and the view was just stunning. The balcony was also a very good size. The room is furnished beautifully and is kept very clean.
The staff are excellent - faultless, but there are just not enough of them! Particularly at the bar. We waited one evening for 55 minutes for our drinks. There is also only one barman (Vasillis) offering beach drinks which is just not enough for the number of guests.. even though he is brilliant there need to be 3 of him!
The cocktails at the main bar are wonderful. Made skilfully and tasted delicious.. but again the staff are obviously overworked.
We booked the anniversary package as we were celebrating whilst we were away and the wine&cake was delicious! It was much appreciated.
The car rental - we rented a buggy for the day and had the best time! Was an excellent addition.
The food - the buffet food was not up to par. Very oily and not enough options for vegetarians. At times the food was over cooked.
The restaurants - we had excellent meals and also average meals. There is not enough consistency. I was also lucky to have read we should book the restaurant reservations prior to arriving by another review, we did this for the first two nights and then struggled to get any more bookings for the trip which was a shame, particularly as the buffet was not up to standard. A few of our meals had what looked like frozen vegetables from a packet, not what we expected from a 5* hotel.
There are lots of kids - not a negative but something for guests to be aware of when booking.

A wonderful experience!!!
Absolutely perfect from first minute.
It was our anniversary trip and Mitsis Blue Domes made everything even more special for us to become an unforgettable holiday.
From the welcoming room set up, to Bedroom and Bathroom decor with cake, petals, champagne, fruits and snacks.
Not to mention the Private Dinning at the beach! It was extremely sophisticated and perfectly organised by the staff!
Everyone involved in organising our special Wedding Vows Renewal were sensational. A massive thank you for the guest relations team, the manager, the waiter and the chef who tried effortlessly to make us happy!
We stayed six nights at Mitsis Blue Domes and our experience was wonderful.
The location was amazing, right on a beautiful beach with spectacular views.
The room was excellent and surprisingly comfortable. Amazing room service, mini bar refilled with drinks everyday.
Quality of food in theme restaurants were high standard.
I would definitely recommend Blue Domes and would love to go back!
