Lovely location, very good food
The Spa is dated and needs doing up. Both the Steam Room and Sauna are small. Staff were ok, but not over friendly.

It was perfect

We really enjoyed staying at Bailiffscourt.
Everything was excellent! : the dinners were delicious we recommend the steak and soufflés..
The garden filled with gorgeous flowers created a wonderful environment for a relaxing time.
The staff were all helpful and welcoming.
The room we had we really liked and hope to have the same room when we return in the near future
Can't think of anything

The food, wine and service were generally excellent
Spa treatments were very good indeed but expensive. A little more choice on the drinks menu around the pool would be nice - for example Aperol Spritz would be a welcome addition. Also it would be better if the used and dirty plates and glasses around the pool were cleared throughout the day.

the grounds were fantastic. The hotel was superb, I enjoyed a swim in your lovely pool. The evening meal was very good indeed. It was quiet and peaceful. The food and service were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. I would recommend a stay.
However, my friend has dementia and after one night he couldn't cope and we had to cancel our second night, unfortunately. Baiiffscourt said they would refund, but as we booked through BOOKING.COM they couldn't help.
I can't get help from them Please help us out, as John is distressed I missed (his carer) one day/evening and he now feels awful- but he panicked. I didn't realise how bad he had got until he got out of his comfort zone. None of that is your fault- the staff were lovely. If you can help= it would be appreciated.

The main building
No bar, very little/ no room to spend the evening. The sofas in the reception rooms were unavailable for us, as the hotel uses these areas as dinner tables.

beautiful surroundings, staff friendly, helpful and efficient. food very good.

We stayed for 2 nights in October to celebrate a birthday and a wedding anniversary.
In the main the food was good, except for what was supposed to be freshly baked rolls which were hard, this was put down to a new chef. Loved the porridge with whisky what a way to start the day!
The waiting staff were excellent anticipating needs in an unobtrusive manner.
We opened the door to the room and almost fell down the step just inside. We stayed in a four poster room on the first floor in the main house, we found that the only opening windows were two 12” x 24 which were garmed up with paint making them difficult to open and had to be accessed via secondary glazing. We were unable to read in bed as there was no lighting, we noticed that other rooms did have a light built into the headboard. There are no fridges in the rooms, but a very small one can be obtained from reception.
The fire exit route is to be protected by law, which means that all doors from your room to the outside should open away from you so as not to impede your progress to safety, these do not. In addition, we had a problem with one door in the corridor which opened towards one but at night as there was no nearby light so you could not see the ring handle, meaning that you could not easily open the door and also where the handle was on he door. Bearing in mind that this is a recently built hotel we were very surprised that it did not comply with modern legislation.
We thought that we would like to come back but would like a different room, when we spoke to the receptionist on the first day, she said that this could be done at 9am the next morning as there would be someone available to show us then, when we went at 9am we were told that we could not do this. We asked again the next day and were told that would be fine, the receptionist saying that she would put this in the hand over notes, when we arrived at the agreed time receptionist knew nothing about it.
We thought that we would walk round the property as the rooms are set in a range of houses of different styles and sizes. In particular we wanted to look at the veg garden, thinking that they would be using the fruit and veg in the kitchen for our meals, how wrong that was. The area has become a dumping ground for old bits of metal work and general rubbish, when we asked about where the veg garden was w

Breakfast & Dinner was excellent but a bit expensive
Rooms were smaller than i expected

mock Tudor set in parkland
We found our allocated room was unsatisfactory. It had ineffective heating with a small and totally inadequate oil filled electric radiator, as a substitute for a very large defective central heating radiator which was cold and leaking. We were disappointed that we were left to discover this fault. We find it difficult to believe that this was unknown to management. We then spent several hours being offered another room and that took ages to warm up and we were left to complain again about the cold bathroom where again we discovered the heat had been turned off. To cap it all, the coffees said to be ‘on the house’ appeared on our closing invoice and we were too late to spot that. Not significant alone but it was a damper on what was otherwise an enjoyable stay.

Food amazing. Spa lovely, beautiful building and position near the sea

Good sized room that wasn’t cluttered but had everything needed for a short stay with our dog.
Big fluffy towels.
Well-staffed.
Unusual set up with rooms in mock-medieval buildings set in extensive grounds.
Some tiles on our bathroom floor were loose which was a bit off putting.
