Amazing stay next to the wilderness, filled with wildlife.

I loved how it was surrounded by the wilderness. And the hosts were very lovely and amazing people! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I am definitely looking forward to coming back again.

At such a place near the wilderness, it is expected that there are going to be bugs. I was personally fine but it is important to have this expectation.

Marvelous stay

I like everything. Since the moment I arrived everyone was so lovely. I really enjoyed the warm welcome. Have been absolute pleasure sad I have to leave. Thank you so much.

🤩 The 81 steps to get to my room. After 2 days I got used to.But I really appreciate the help of David carrying the suitcase up and down.

A wonderful place with local Costa Rican owners - escaping from superficial hotels and supporting a lovely community.

Excellent grounded staff; location is beautiful and I cannot wait to come back.

Disappointing

The view from the room was lovely. The breakfast the second day was good.

The customer service was quite lacking - no guidance on activities or property rules, etc because we booked that morning and showed up in the evening - and were apparently a bit of a surprise. Maybe it is better if they know about you in advance. That said, hard to get a clear understanding of what there is to do around the area. No on site.drinks or snack for sale - no room fridge to buy your own and store. Dogs barked and fought outside of our door throughout our first night Property was hard to get into by car. We moved to a different place and had a lovely stay after two nights here.

great location on the beach

Beautiful location right on the beach make sure to get a room with AC. it is HOT.

If you are driving, the road down to the hotel is very steep and poorly maintained. you may want to park in town and walk down. the manager is also frequently unavailable and the rest of the staff doesn’t speak much English

In general a good hotel and can be recommended for its location and good service.

The property was excellently located practically on the beach. The beach was the best in the area. The staff was very kind and helpful. Food was varied and tasty. I would recommend this hotel.

A few things need improvement: 1. The room did not have a piece of furniture with drawers and hangers to kept the clothes. We had to place clothes and suitcases on the extra bed. Very uncomfortable. 2. Wifi did not reach the room. When we needed wifi we had to go downstairs near the main office which was quite far. The wifi reception was too weak with constant disconnections. Other tourists also complained about it. Very inconvenient. 3. Dogs kept in the property barked for 3 hours at night very close to the room. Very difficulty to fall asleep. This happened almost every night. Other tourists also complained.

The most perfect location and beautiful rooms

After reading some of the older reviews, I was a little hesitant about booking this hotel..but I'm sure glad that I did! The hotel is in the PERFECT location right on the beach and only steps from town. We could hear the waves crashing while at breakfast and enjoyed beautiful sunsets each night. The room was clean and comfortable with AC that worked great (and a large hot rain shower!) Staff were helpful and we booked a lovely tour to Cano Island through the hotel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

There are some stairs to get to certain rooms. This did not bother us at all but is something to consider for those with limited mobility.

I am not usually a picky traveller but the pictures portrayed online are completely deceiving. Tiny rooms, dusty, unclean, bathroom nothing like photos. Dirty uneven stairs to get to rooms. Stained bedsheets. By far the worst hotel for 130 USD I have seen in all of Costa Rica

Situation on the beach

Manager - not sympathetic at all, not to say worse. Always having impression of bothering him when asking for something. Very different from all the very noce and helpful costarican hosts... Made the stay way less enjoyable in my opinion
