Prima verblijf, simpel ontbijt, goede locatie, diverse nieuwe maar ook oudere kamers.

De ligging is perfect. Je loopt vanaf deze locatie binnen twee minuten naar de rijstvelden of direct het gezellige centrum in. Deze verhuurder heeft mooie nieuwe kamers met ruim uitzicht maar ook wat oudere huisjes in de tuin. Je moet bij het boeken wel goed kijken wat je dus wilt. Wij zijn bij aankomst alsnog naar een nieuwere kamer gegaan in plaats van het huisje omdat wij dit een prettiger verblijf vonden. Er zit ook wat prijsverschil in maar dat hadden we er voor over.

In de badkamer en slaapkamer moet er blijvend gaas worden geplaatst over de sier ornamenten in de muren. Nu komen er hier ook muggen naar binnen. Een goede klamboe boven het bed zou zeer prettig zijn.

Séjour très agréable dans un lieu bien placé.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel, bien situé à Ubud (pas trop loin du centre et au calme). Nous avons apprécié les chambres confortables, le petit déjeuner (excellentes crêpes !), la piscine et l'accès rapide aux rizières derrière l'hôtel.

Séjour exceptionnel !

Séjour incroyable, avec un personnel aux petits soins ! L’emplacement est parfait, situé à quelques minutes à pieds des rues commerçantes, l’hôtel est très calme. La piscine est très agréable.

Un petit bémol pour le petit déjeuner bon mais peu copieux !

Excellent atmosphere, great location and delish breakfast and very friendly personnel!

It feels like you live in a temple, so beautiful and exceptional to be inside! Excellent location, close to Ubud Palace. For breakfast we had banana pancakes and fruit salad for breakfast - it tasted heavenly!

The room was perfectly clean, we had an amazing view over sunset from the window. The host family is the kindest we've ever met, always available and making use feel at home right away. The location is perfect, as well as the breakfast! If you ever come to Ubud, you should definitely stay there 🌞

I loved it - I would be back :)

I loved the family and their kindness _ really filled my heart at night before going to bed I felt safe and in a grounded peaceful space. At the back is a stunning balcony area with a beautiful view where I would work.

The room was gorgeous, the location was nice and tucked away, they had a beautiful garden and a nice pool! The breakfast was delightful!!! The family who runs the property were really helpful and kind, and we loved staying here!

Beautiful and friendly homestay

Pondok Bambu is a wonderful and beautiful Homestay in a very convenient location. We had two lovely rooms and I was surprised they had aircon and hot water showers since the room price was so low. The breakfast was delicious, the best banana pancakes! We decided to add the airport transfer and also an excursion. I will certainly stay here again whenever in Ubud. We very much enjoyed our four days there.

very nice family

the family was helpful and the food was good at the back of the property was stairs to a lane turn right and it was a lovely walk through the rice fields a few steps right and there is a market it is much better to walk through these rice fields then go on a tour I like that they provide transportation you can also get transport anywhere in the street much better to support local people than the possibility big international companies same with tours arrange with accommodation or on street the big companies monopoly the industry

My stay was absolutely amazing. I was so happy there I didn't want it to end. The surrounding is quiet and relaxing, with truly balisian atmosphere and it's very close to very good restaurants, shops and markets. The owner and his family are absolutely remarkable and helpful, very kind people taking care of the guest so much. The contact with the owner is very easy and fast. The food so delicious. Everything clean, the room was cleansed every day. I felt at home and there was not a single things i disliked. I am looking forward to come back. Thank you for making my stay in Ubud so magical and comfortable I wish all the best for your family 10/10 with love.

We loved our stay at Pondok bambu homestay! Everything was perfect, the room was big, clean and cosy. The terrasse was a plus. A little space of quiet among the business of Ubud, the location was perfect and allowed us to do everything we wanted by walk. Most of all the owners are very kind, helpful and welcoming! Breakfast is delicious. We can only recommend this place! We would gladly stay there again 🙂

the staff was awesome! the location was awesome (short walk from the rice fields in one direction, short walk from the buzz of town the other direction)! the room was very ok, for the price we paid. would stay here again.

This is an awesome homestay in Ubud. The father-son duo who runs it are kind and helpful in every way, whether you are looking for a local spot or some adventure they will help you plan your day. The rooms are comfortable and sparkling clean and there is daily housekeeping to make sure they stay that way. Don't miss to try the banana pancakes for breakfast, they are the best :)!

Fabulous place to stay!

We wholeheartedly enjoyed our stay here. Made and his entire family were welcoming, kind and generous throughout our stay. Made helped us to organize our activities, drove us places for a small fee, served as our guide one day to visit rice terraces and temples. He took great photos. And he even drove us to Munduk after our stay, and they gave us fresh bananas from the garden for the road. Made taught us many things about Balinese life and culture. We really enjoyed watching quite a few of the family members in the dance show that they present twice a week at their temple across the street. The accommodations were just right. The room and bathroom are spacious and tidied every day. We had delicious banana pancakes and fruit salad almost every day. The omelette was tasty as well. And it was served on our porch overlooking the pool surrounded by so many lovely plants , flowers and trees. It is a calm and peaceful location, but very close to the city center, about a 10 minute walk. There is a quicker back route which takes you on a nice stroll through some rice fields. The stairs were a bit slippery though and there is no handrail. There is a good sized market just nearby. We would most definitely return to Pondok Bambu!!

Very welcoming, flexible, and helpful staff

The whole staff was very friendly, welcoming, and flexible. They recommended places to visit, and they invited me to join for ceremonies they did together with the family. The location is beautiful, and really close to the most beautiful sightseeings and yoga/meditation hubs. The owner even helped me moving to the new place.

I would have lived here all my life

Incredibly green, quiet place, near the city center . Very clean rooms and tactful, friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts, a cozy pool, an atmosphere of kindness and love. We will be happy to come here again.

Authentic experience with great food and nice people.

You basically get your own bungalow in a big family household. It's a really great experience. I was there during a national holiday so the owner invited me to taste local food and eat together with his family. The staff and other guests were really friendly and fun. Breakfast was excellent. The swimming pool is smallish but really nice and clean, perfect for cooling off. The owner's son drove me to Changgu (my next destination) for a very good price. Nets over beds.

The internet didn't work one day (I need it for online work) but it was due to a storm and the homestay was not the only one affected, so not their fault. The bungalows are not very good isolated so lizards can get in (I found a little one in my bed one evening), even the full grown geckos, which are the size of a small cat, are able to enter, but that's Bali, so it's ok :). What was even more unpleasant was the reptile poop I found in many places, they should really clean that.

Excellent value for the money

Lovely place, like you are inside a temple. Very friendly people. Location is good, 5 minutes walking from the center of Ubud. Room was very big and confortable. Excellent value for the money.

Bathroom had only the bare minimum. Not very fast serving the breakfast, even though we had a tour the following day and asked for it the previous day.
