4.5
Great location, all sights and bus station in walking location, fresh homemade breakfast and nice activities. Very helpful staff and nice vibe, rooms are OK, nothing fancy but secure and comfortable.
There are SO many mosquitoes in the back yard with the nice hammoks, so couldn't really use the hammocks, but if you stay in the kitchen area it should be fine.

Great breakfast, clean facilities, and friendly staff. Value for money
No complaints!

Great vibes! rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The staff is fantastic - kind and super helpful! You can also rent a bike with them - highly recommended!
AC in the room is crazy cold but I guess it's a personal dislike

Firstly, this hostel is located near the city center. The personnel is very helpful and nice and the place looks great. The breakfast is very good: on the first day we had fruits and American pancakes and on the second day we has a delicious omelette. The room was very spacious and the bed was a very comfortable king size one. This is very good value for money.
We had a massive spider in our room. Also, the hot water was not working so we had to wash with cold water..

Great breakfast, friendly staff, lovely garden area. Useful tips for restaurants and attractions on a budget!

Amazing location, staff (Susan, Fernando and everyone else) and facilities. Must do and stay in Valladolid.
The garden in the back is well-maintained, the shared bathrooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious. They also have events set up every night for people to attend which made our stay even better. We met some lovely fellow-travellers at the hostel the 2 nights we were there.
Good accessibility to the town center and the Cenote on the middle of the town.
We loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. 15/10 !!

Great facilities. Breakfast was always really nice and cold filtered water in the hostel.

We loved everything!!!

The garden is beautiful and very well taken care of. The colorful buildings, kitchen and furniture make the place really cute.
The location right inside the park is perfect.
Good money value!
A couple of things that made it a little more complicated than usual: asking for a deposit outside of Booking platform (they ended up accommodating me without deposit because i was checking in early..) , no towels in the room and then asked for a deposit for towels even in a private room. There was no big issue but I think they could just make things a little simpler :)

Beautiful gardens/ communal area! Less than 10 mins walk from ADO bus station. Square where they hostel is gives a lovely community vibe. Staff are friendly and breakfast was delicious. Kitchen really well equipped also. Wish I stayed longer
Nothing springs to mind :)

The bed was very comfortable and the garden was terrific.

Location was great and the hotel had a lot of character. Breakfast was good.
A lot of inflexible rules and a bit paranoid about security.

The hostel and the garden are really beautiful and lots of spots to sit and enjoy it, good breakfast, good working wifi, relaxed atmosphere, and they thought of many details in the room that makes staying there very easy!
would be nice if they cleaned the room during the stay

clean room, good water pressure and breakfast was amazing
the outside stairs next to our window were quite noisy when workers would use them to get to the mezanine

perfect location, clean and colorful. I stayed in a private room and it was wonderful so I can only speak to that. A/C works amazing…comfy bed and very welcoming staff. I’m vegan so I only had fruit for the included breakfast but my first day they were making breakfast sandwiches which I must say looked/smelled delicious. It was quiet at night which I really appreciated. I’m a solo traveler, felt so safe and comfortable. I rented a car and had street parking right in front each day I was there. In a quiet area right near Candelaria park. loved seeing kiddos playing and next time I’ll be bringing mine along with me to Valladolid. such a welcoming place. A must try is Burrito Amor across the street!
nothing-wish I stayed longer

I loved everything. It was soooo good. The staff is calm and nice and willing to help!
The look - it is all clean and neat, full of plants, beautiful spaces, garden and kitchen.
At the shower - plenty of hot water. At night, A/C in the rooms and above all - warm, cozy, personal and tasty breakfast!
I wish there would be soy milk or other vegan milk. I think cow milk is bad for do many people and cows.... and for the planet

This is such a lovely hostel! We felt at home almost instantly. Plus, we have never had breakfast this good anywhere else.

very nice spot in Valladolid. Nice location on a quiet square, just a few minutes walking from the bus station and the town centre. And 10 min walking to a nice cenote. Room (4-bed) was spacious, even with 4 single beds. Nice garden to meer other travellers. And a great breakfast included, prepared by friendly ladies every morning.
Temperature in the room controlled by reception, so it could be too cold or too hot during the night. They do listen to your requests though.

The breakfast was wonderful, the gardens were very tranquil and beautiful, the location is great for easy access to the bus station and central part of the city, staff were really friendly and nice, the whole place felt very clean and well-taken care of, the rooms are beautifully decorated with really high-powered fans.
The only thing that is "uncomfortable" is the bathroom outside of your room, but that is what to expect when you book a room with a shared bathroom situation. They were always clean and there are several so I never found it occupied when I went to use it.

Incredibly kind and understanding staff. Breakfast was made with care and the atmosphere was great in the common areas. Love the hammocks and area to do ypga

Great location, great breakfast and good facilities
The guy behind the desk is bored by all tourists asking the same question - they should have a handout with collectivo stops for all sights and restaurant recommendations around. My first dorm with 4 normal beds was great, dorm with 8 beds is too busy and much less comfortable (no curtains on most beds, only 1 bathroom for 8 people)

I really enjoyed staying in Candelaria. Free breakfast is included so the breakfast area is full of people in the morning, making it really easy to meet new people and plan the day. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
The bed for me was on the more uncomfortable side. I came by my car and there's no private parking but you can park on the street (luckily no problems during the night).
