La gentillesse du personnel, l’emplacement, le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse

The hotel itself is a very beautiful Riadh. We loved the location - it's very close to the central part of the Medina but a few minutes walk outside the busiest part which means it's very quiet and feels more relaxed than some of the main streets. The decor and furnishings are lovely and there's a very spacious roof terrace with space to sit for breakfast or for a drink in the evenings. We had dinner at the hotel twice and those were some of our favourite meals. Some of the trendy restaurants in the medina are difficult to get a table at and also the food isn't that great in my opinion. The food at the hotel was traditional and delicious - exactly what we wanted!
The staff are really great, really friendly and can't do enough to make your stay memorable. We had a problem with damp in our room and the team moved us out into a beautiful suite for a couple of nights whilst they got it fixed.
The internet was pretty intermittent. I had hoped to take some classes online whilst I was there but the signal was so bad at times that it made it quite difficult. If you have to do any work whilst you are there you will not have a reliable connection.
The breakfast was delicious and substantial. But it was the same every day. This isn't a problem if you're only staying for a few nights, but since we were there for a week, it would have been nice to have some variety. There are no options given and a huge amount of bread products/ pastry are brought to the table. I felt wasteful not eating what was put down and consequently ate way too much! I'm sure there's a lot of waste as a result. I personally would prefer to be able to choose from a list of things and for there to be some more healthy options like fruit, yogurt, eggs. I am also a huge fan of coffee in bed in the morning. It would have been nice to have had a kettle in the room, or the option to pick up coffee/ cups from the kitchen in the morning.
Finally, having to settle the bill in cash at the end of the stay was a bit of a nightmare. We went to 5 different ATMs on a very busy evening before we left (none of which were close to the hotel) and failed to find anywhere to get money. In the end the hotel let us pay by card without charge. Being able to pay by bank transfer if the fees for card payments are high could be an alternative that could work for many people. I use Wise which allows you to easily pay in the local currency and the transaction fees are very low.

The breakfast was amazing - pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, bread, honey, jam, cheese, salad.
Jamal and Adil were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful people. They made us feel so at home and like we were part of their family. I was unwell during our holiday and they both did their utmost to make me feel comfortable. The ladies who worked so hard in the kitchen were really lovely and presented beautiful food to us every time.
The location is fantastic - out of the front door and two minutes later we were in the Souk with a ten minute walk to the main square where there were taxis if we wanted to go further afield. We also had a very interesting and hilarious ride on a Tuk-tuk through the middle of the Souk to a restaurant!
Nothing could have been better, it really was perfect.

The host and staff were excellent pleasant to communicate with, very attentive and looked after our stay very closely. One of the staff member walked with us until the taxi pick-up spot at 3.00 AM, we are grateful for this gesture. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience
This is in a Medina and the 2 wheeler drivers were very aggressive in the narrow streets

True oasis of calmness and peace in the middle of a beautiful and hectic medina in Marrakech. The staff of the Riad were truly authentic in their kindness and taking their time to help you with anything. This is the kind of hospitality you will not easily forget and makes you come back again to Riad Zelda when visiting Marrakech the next time. Thank you!

beautiful place to stay, great location and wonderful staff really made this a lovely holiday for us. We stayed in 2 of the rooms and both were gorgeous. Everyone working there was so friendly and always had a chat with us, giving good advice and tips for our visit. We had dinner there our first night, definitely one of the best meals we had during our holiday. The breakfast, wine and beer were also very good. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous as well.
hard to think of any negatives to be honest. The sink in the first room was slow to drain and quite shallow but the room and bathroom were so nice we didn’t mind!

Jamal and the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much of an issue for them and Jamal helped us organise taxis, excursions, dinners - everything! Jamal even gave us incredible tips and tricks on the first day which helped us navigate the chaotic city with ease from Dah 1.
The generous and delicious complimentary breakfast was amazing on the terrace every morning.
The location of the Riad was incredibly central and the perfect place to be based in Marrakech, yet managed to be very quiet and serene.
The riad itself has a beautiful sunny terrace where you can relax with a complimentary mint tea or coffee all day. The room we had for 3 was spacious and included a beautiful bathroom. This was tended to by housekeeping everyday.
We would like to thank Jamal, his wife, and all the lovely staff for making our stay so special and looking after us, we truly had the best week.

It felt like a home away from home. Nothing was too much for Jamal and staff to accommodate me and my family. The in house dinners were great and easy after a busy day of sight seeing.
It is walking distance to lots of must see places to visit in Marrakech.

Dar Zelda is beautiful, the room was very comfortable and relaxing. We decided to spend the last few nights of our time in Marrakech to unwind and this Riad really met our expectations. All of the staff members were incredible, the rooftop breakfast was great, the room was extra clean and great wifi throughout our stay! The location was fantastic, with a lot of local sightseeing spots nearby, and it is close enough to walk to and from the souks but not in the middle of them! We had some time from our checkout until departure, and the team went out of their way to ensure we were still hosted with some great tea, conversations and even an opportunity for an outfit change! We met one of the partners, who was so humble and took time to greet us. The staff members also accompanied us until the nearest point for the Taxi meeting point! Honestly, thank you all for everything and we really look forward to seeing you again Inshallah.

We had the most amazing stay at Dar Zelda, breakfast was delicious and our room was so comfortable. Jamal and the other hosts were so welcoming and hospitable, it really helped to get some info from them, some tips on what to do and look out for as staying in the Medina is full on (but amazing!).
I would really recommend this Riad, everything was perfect.
I would highly recommend you make use of the properties transfer from airport as locating the Riad in the streets of the medina alone would be difficult!

The style of this riad is very nice, everything is new, staff was nice & it is in the center. The terrace & the view from there is super nice. Breakfast was also typical maroccan, it was good.
The entry to get in the riad is hard to find at first, there is also a huge garbage next to it with a lot of dirt by the morning. The windows don’t really block the noise so we could hear clearly everything when people were having a drink or talked in the hall.

The place is beautiful and allows you to live a real Moroccan experience. Also, Jamal’s service was amazing since we arrived. The breakfast on the rooftop was icing on the cake.
The location is very strategic and central if you want to be inside the Medina and like this kind of experience but personally I wouldn’t do it again. In general, the Medina is very chaotic and messy everywhere, but Dar Zelda is located in some narrow and dark streets which can get a little scary if you go back late at night and outside there’s a overfilled dumpster.
