The staff and food
Dirty little room and awful comfort

We needed a quiet place to get a good nights sleep which was what we got
We are used to having Breakfast on a Buffet basis so that we can choose exactly what we want and we can be on our way without having to wait for parts of the meal.

I would like a full refund, we only stayed one night as the room was dirty and black mould growing on the inside of the windows, which is a health hazard

The room we booked wasn’t available, we were offered another room which was absolutely shocking, dirty, damaged, mould on windows, mould all over the bathroom, filthy stained carpet, broken furniture. Absolutely horrible we had to leave and find another hotel.
An awful experience, don’t book online they lure you in and then give you an awful awful room. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely staff, facilities and location of hotel. Was not expecting it as mine was a last minute booking but a great view of the South Bay and harbour from an unexpected balcony. Great breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable nights sleep.
Only criticism was that the bathroom needed updating (peach suite) and furniture in room although completely adequate and functional was old fashioned dark wood and an update of these in the room would benefit the ambience.

The location was the only saving grace for our experience at his hotel. I would say the view as well as it is in an elevated position but the windows were so dirty that you couldn't really see past the seagull mess that was on them.
Booked a double-one wasn't available when we checked in so was given a twin instead. The room we were first given was nothing short of disgusting-the fact that it was so dated and all the furniture scuffed and broken was the least of our problems. It was dirty, carpets and curtains frayed and covered in stains-i wouldnt even take my shoes off. Mould on the walls, really dark with one pendant light in the far corner of the room and even the cream shade on this was stained. Window covered in seagull mess. Bathroom was exactly the same-like a throwback from the 1970's. Extractor fan wasnt working which was obviously why it was so damp everywhere. Shower curtain was black and mouldy at the bottom, hairs in the bath..not from someone's head!! Lifts not working and saw elderly pensioners who were on the third and fourth floors struggling on the stairs. I could keep going forever!. Short staffed so no-one on reception-had to go downstairs to the dining room to find someone. Asked to be moved-was first told not possible as they were fully booked. Had anticipated this and already checked that you could still book rooms for that same night...and you could-dont appreciate being lied to just because it was too much trouble for them. Showed the lady pictures of the room, not even an apology for how bad it was. Was moved to another twin room up on the fourth floor, like I said lift not working so had to drag our cases up eight flights of stairs but I wasn't prepared to stay in the first room at any cost. Second room still not brilliant but acceptable. I have stayed at b+b's all over the UK at less than half the price we paid for this and they have been spotless compared to this place.

Balcony area.Nice atmosphere especially in the breakfast restaurant.Very friendly staff.
Only slight hiccup was breakfast shown as a £5 extra. We had three and my son paid and was charged £30..he'd paid before I realized.

The hotel has a balcony in very fantastic location with beautiful and quiet scenery.

Loved the location, room size was amazing and breakfast was spot on.was an impromptu visit to celebrate our wedding anniversary so we were perfectly happy with what we got at the price we paid and we are keen to visit again x
Room was at furthest point to the lift and being disabled I struggled walking also shower was inaccessible for me due to disability however that said booked via booking.com and there was no opportunity on the booking info to request something more suitable ie...room close to lift and if possible a level entry shower so no fault of the hotel at all.however no evening meal was made available to us and again no option to request during booking.

Good location.
Very dated property: peeling paint, faded old upholsteries, odd smell about the place. Management accused Booking.com of “hacking into” their system to place a booking which they claimed was for a double (it wasn’t- we paid more to have twin beds!) and they tried to say it was done illegally. Nowhere to park on site. Breakfast was, without doubt, the WORST quality English breakfast I have had anywhere in the world. the sausages were beige and deep-fried, once cut open their were no herbs of any kind visible; the type of sausage you buy 40 for £1 from frozen food stores. Bacon so thick with fat it was almost entirely composed of it; thin, watery baked beans, a fried egg and fried bread (does anyone still eat fried bread?) The only edible things were the toast and the egg. Even the tea and coffee were poor quality and did not taste good. We were told the hotel was dog friendly but nobody forewarned us that we could not take our dog in the restaurant, meaning we were abruptly told this by overworked dining room staff, and we told to go elsewhere to eat, and we had to wait for another area to be set up. We should have been told in advance.
In the room it did not improve- a smell of stale urine in the ensuite bathroom and peeling wallpaper in the bedroom, held in place by notice board pins.
Beds were OK and the view was very nice, but the furniture consisted of mis-matched items and plastic, faux-leather chairs.
Overall, not a good stay and we will not go back.

very dated & bedroom definitely in need of a refurb especially the bathroom

Staff were friendly.
We booked a double room and was given a twin. The hotel was tired and the rooms not overly nice. Definitely not worth the £130 I paid which didn't include breakfast.

staff very helpful and great location

We were lucky to find a space in the very limited car park
The receptionist was miserable and abrupt. She wasn’t interested in taking our car details.
Room was very dated with wallpaper peeling, skirting boards and woodwork chipped and walls marked. Bathroom was like stepping back in time and very basic. Carpets grubby.
Lock on the bedroom door was hard to open and when mentioned to reception they weren’t seem interested. Not value for money. A sad old hotel.
3.3
The fact there was a lift wen I was in top floor and easy to check in
The fact you advised a restaurant wen we could use it because we wasn't a coach party if we new thisbwe wouldn't of booked and the fact we had to wait till 3 to check in and out at 10 am cost £100 that night by time we checked in got stuff sorted most of shops was shut
3.3
The hotel was warm and very clean with very helpful and friendly staff
Bedrooms are alittle bit dated but were clean and tidy. Just alittle modernising still to do.
