Vert nice stay.

Easy to find, nice modern building, easy instructions, clean room with everything you'd need, cumfy bed and as we were towards the back of the building it was quiet and a warm room with a large bathroom. We stayed out late to see Whitby Abbey lit up and left early to have breakfast at Wetherspoon so parking wasn't an issue We had a good sleep and left early.

Everything was good, communication was very good, we booked quite late and had to phone owners for security code to get in but everything was sorted politely and very professionally. Very nice people.

Amazing hotel will rebook lovely and clean and comfy

Very comfy beds lovely clean rooms including bathroom had a problem at 12.30 at night by going for a vape outside forgetting my key and being locked out rang the owner was sorted in 5 mins we both enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back

Great escape

I liked spacious clean room, king size bed with first class bedding. The bath was big size as well and heating was working well. I had a good night sleep. It's located not far from train station, in walking distance. Close to South Bay. Breakfast was not provided, but there was a kettle with tea/coffee. I would be happy coming back there.

The ceiling needs repairs.

Would be more than happy to book again but if breakfast not available would think twice about it

Lovely room (room 2) which was adequately furnished, spotlessly clean and well serviced with tea, coffee, milk replenished without having to ask. Excellent ensuite facilities and a decently working tv and lovely comfortable king size bed ensured a great sleep. Parking nearby was easy with the voucher provided at a reasonable price.

Unable to have breakfast at property, due to half term break, and presumably staffing problems. This was disappointing but found a nearby cafe. Entry at night difficult first time round but once got used to it was ok. Had to call for assistance first occasion and help was pretty immediately at hand which was good.

Great location, pity to come early week when Restaurant facilities and bar closed

Location, bed and towel quality all great, warm bedroom in evening to return to.However, the heating goes off in the night and it is now a cold period so woke up cold and not helped by no heating in the Bathroom (Room 8)

Heating durring the night and in the Bathroom. Do you need to change the towels for a 2 night stay, we would have been happy with these. Preference, more coffee, used more than half on the first day so second day I had to put some decaf in the mix. Unfortunately no breakfast, bar or restaurant avaialble Sunday to Tuesday nights, can manage without I understand no ready meals in rooms, but why not leave Restaurant open for people to use. Carpets in general areas could do with a clean as rooms very clean, reduce smell of air freshner as this is normally used for cheap hotels and puts us off staying.

Road noise was horrendous. The property needs double glazing but the owner has decided not to upgrade the leaky single glazed windows. Main road through town is 10m away.

Lovely accommodation

Furnished and decorated to a very high standard. We had a king room and it had a seating area to watch tv which was really nice rather than sitting/laying on the bed.

A comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable stay, offering excellent value for money.

My second stay at Chapel House, and I'm already looking forward to the third. I love the way Chapel House has retained the original character of its spacious rooms, I felt well-rested every morning thanks to warm, comfortable and clean bedding and I appreciate the real coffee and coffee press. It's also rare to have a hotel in which, following a hard day's cycling, I can enjoy a genuinely hot - rather than tepid! - bath. Excellent South Bay location.

The wifi was notably poor this visit, at least in the part of the hotel where I stayed. Much better on my earlier stay, so this might have been a temporary blip.

A beautifully friendly hotel....perfect!

A wonderful hotel highly recommended! Exceptional rooms, pristine throughout, comfortable beds, plenty of space to move around, beautiful decor and furniture with local art prints to decorate. The bathrooms are spacious and so clean, I love being somewhere where it feels like no one has ever used it before me. Cafetier coffee pure luxury and very unexpected thank you. Lovely friendly staff, check in was quick and easy, we didn't use the bar or dining facilities but both looked equally as good. We've stayed here twice now over the last week on seperate occasions as we needed to be in the area to visit a family member in hospital. A wonderful stay both times nothing short of perfect for us. We definitely recommend it and will be back. Many thanks.

We disappoint on Monday when we came down for breakfast only to be told you don't serve breakfast on a Monday and Tuesday we was never told that but we had paid for breakfast

Lovely place to stay.

Breakfast was delicious (and cost extra). People come from the neighborhood to eat breakfast there. The staff were friendly and happy to help. There's a lovely outdoor sitting area. We were close to paths leading down to the beach.

Booking.com said the site had a lift, but it does not. That's important to me since I have trouble with stairs. The manager said she had unsuccessfully tried to get that fixed on Booking.com. The staff moved us to a room only 1 flight up (no bedroom rooms on the ground floor).

Fabulous stay in a gorgeous room.

Staff were so helpful and friendly. Gorgeous room, with massive bed. Immaculately clean. Parking was provided which was unexpected.

All the facilities in the room were fine and I particularly appreciated the provision of a large bottle of drinking water

Although the breakfast was nice, I would have preferred the option of fruit and cereals I would also have preferred an earlier starting time (7.30 rather than 8)

Very relaxing, definitely gonna be coming back next year.

Lovely and clean, the look outside still has a modern look to it but also have a fitting look to Yorkshire. It look like it belongs there still. The room was very spacious , great layout, bed was super big and very comfortable. Staff was helpful when we required them. Absolutely loved out stay and definitely gonna be coming back to stay next year.

Clean and comfortable. Great location. We will come back again at some point. But in a lower room. :-)

Our Room was number 14 , and it's at the top of the building with narrow steep curved steps to access it. The Room has a sloping Ceiling in the Bedroom and Bathroom due to the roof profile. We had to move the vanity table towards the middle of the bathroom floor because we kept banging our heads on the sloping ceiling when opening / closing the window. I'm 6ft tall. Everything's painted white, so you don't notice the slope. It could do with a "Mind your Head" sign.
