The breakfast was excellent, with lots of different choices. The location was easy walking to restaurants and shops. The staff were wonderful!
The pool was closed for a few days while we were there which was annoying.

Hotel it’s beautiful, pool and private beach as well.
I loved the location.
It’s 5* hotel but room service it’s not 24/7, not even a mini bar.
Member of the stuff behaved very inappropriate by offering me a massage at 3am (!) where we were only 2 people at the lobby, making me feel that I may be in danger, and trying to walk me to my room when I was keep saying that I can find my way by myself.
The next day I asked to talk to the hotel manager.
I had talked to the reception manager.
Lady was just defending her staff member.
I asked again to talk to hotel manager, what wasn’t possible.
Reception manager was giving me a bad attitude, when I come with such a serious meter (!)
I hope that it won’t happen to other solo female travellers.

We love the reception staff, Lisa and Hector, who went out of their way to take care of all our smallest requests and needs. Room service was the best value. Noumea is expensive in general for many. In general, it was clean and beach front
it was a little dated, property. F&B’s menu were the same in all the F& B outlets. Choices were limited for lunch and dinner venues. For a 5 stars property it’s not quite there but made great by the service we got from Lisa n Hector

The location, the staff & the facilities.
Some parts of pathways were uneven causing tripping hazard, room air conditioner didn’t work properly & bed pillows weren’t that comfortable.

This place is so tranquil and the staff so friendly and welcoming. We stayed three nights in a King Garden View Balcony room and would happily have stayed longer. The room was just big enough for three people with the extra rollaway bed, and the bathroom has an interesting layout, but it worked fine, and the shower is excellent. The garden view is gorgeous. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was fabulous. So many options - pancakes, eggs, bacon, stir-fried veges, noodles, cold meats, cheeses - but I particularly loved the mini pastries, fresh melon and hazelnut coffee. The pool is a good size and temperature, and there were plenty of deck chairs with umbrellas on the Saturday and Monday we were there (we did a day trip on the Sunday), and the walk through the garden to get there is beautiful. We really enjoyed the platters at the bar near the reception area on Saturday evening and the live background music (a singer). It created a lovely ambiance. The receptionist at checkout was really helpful and joined me up as a Mariott Bonvoy member, for free, so I could get a 10% discount on our food bill.
We had planned to eat at Le Fare down on the waterfront on Saturday evening, but it was closed due to a wedding, which didn't seem to have been advertised. Not really a negative though because the platters we ordered at the bar instead were great and we may not otherwise have tried them. The glass door on the bathroom made it difficult to not wake others when switching the light on at night.

The comfort of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff were unquestionable highlights during my stay. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and provided a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The staff members were always accommodating and ready to assist with any queries or requests, enhancing the overall guest experience.
The cleanliness of the resort was top-notch. The maintenance and upkeep of the property were commendable, and it contributed to an overall pleasant and hygienic environment.
One drawback during my stay was the limited dining options at the resort due to the quiet atmosphere. Not all of the restaurants were open, which meant that choices for meals were somewhat restricted. However, this issue was mitigated by the resort's convenient location, as there was a short stroll to a variety of excellent restaurants and eateries nearby. It allowed me to explore the local dining scene, which was a delightful experience.
One aspect that was a bit of a letdown was the cocktails served at the resort. They seemed to struggle with finding the right balance between alcoholic strength and sweetness. This inconsistency made it a bit frustrating when trying to enjoy a well-mixed drink. It's an area that could definitely benefit from improvement, especially for guests looking for a memorable drink experience.

Swimming pool, grounds and buffet dinners
Lifts were old. Their coffee is weak and tasteless.

room and pool were great
service at the bar up near reception was below par - they were promoting Rum infused drinks on small blackboard one advertised with 'hibiscus' flower which clearly had cinnamon quills in it and tasted awful- even the bar tender screwed up her nose but assured us it was hibiscus! both male and female staff here not very friendly. the olives dished out tasted like they got recycled each time. the saving grace was the wonderful guy on the piano

Nothing. It was perfect.

The pool area is stunning, its right by the beachfront and is a lovely setting, the cocktails on the upper deck were also wonderful to close out a day. We loved the Burea on the beachfront which had delicious food and a good selection of drinks, the sunset there was stunning. We were kindly upgraded to an oceanfront room which was very much appreciated, overlooking the wedding facility. Hugo (front desk) was wonderful.
The pool isn't heated for winter swims, wine was expensive and they ran out of a few we liked, the hotel was located a bit further away from Baie des Citrons than we thought (not walking distance for us) and we struggled for the hotel to book us with some key restaurants in the area as they don't have a designated concierge - all very minor!

Stayed one night for my son’s wedding reception, the reception staff were exceptionally helpful. Didn’t have time to use the pool or have breakfast.
The bar staff didn’t know the difference between sparkling water and sparkling wine, and the staff were late in preparing the room, still setting tables at 6.30 when guests were asked to arrive at 6.00 for drinks.

Beautiful Pool & Delicious Food
Rear of building not well maintained. Limited dining options in off season.

The setting was so lovely. We had a garden view room and it had a beautiful outlook with all day sun and a nice outdoor couch to sit on. I wouldn't bother paying extra for an ocean view IMO. The pool was also really nice - chilly, but it is winter after all! While you can't swim at the beach due to shark dangers, there were loungers to enjoy the view there or you could sit at the beachside bar. The resort had a very nice relaxed vibe. It wasn't noisy at all.
Our room was really comfortable. Nice Malin + Goetz toiletries provided. They left a little gift for us and a cute flower arrangement as it was our honeymoon, which we appreciated.
The location was great, 10 minute walk to restaurants, and a nice walk up the Ouen Toro hill behind. There is a bus stop very nearby which we used to visit Noumea a few times. It is also a doable walk to Lemon Bay and the restaurants there.
The reception area was very nice and reception staff always very polite.
I wouldn't say the hotel was 5 stars but it was really nice. Only minor issues:
We weren't really told how to get tourist information - would have been good if there had been brochures there for tourist attractions. There was a touchscreen at the concierge desk but we weren't alerted to it and the one time we tried to use it, it wasn't working.
Food and drink at the resort was dismal and super expensive (we ate at Le Sextant). Also the mixed drinks weren't nice. We didn't eat there after the first night, as there were plenty of restaurants at the beach which, while expensive, were cheaper than the resort and offered much better quality. We brought our own alcohol at the supermarket which was much cheaper.
Housekeeping was inconsistent - one day tried to come at 8am when we were still asleep. Some days we got facecloths, others not. Didn't get given any coffee for two days. Fridge didn't keep anything cold.
Bed was made euro style with no top sheet, but the duvet was way too hot so I had to sleep under a robe.
The room was really nice but the bathroom doors didn't close properly and offered no privacy in terms of noise. Not very romantic ;)
Managed to lock ourselves on our balcony on the first night, and reception wouldn't pick up the phone. Had to call out to someone walking by to help us.

Location
Limited food opportunities and bar times, but understandable with a lack of visitors.

Great location, as beach front. Excellent pool area and friendly staff. The majoirty of the staff were very able to speak English.
Some parts of the facilities looks tired and need refurbishment. Some of the staff service could be slow and lack attention. Prices tend to be expensive, but this is typical for Noumea.

Shower was a little mouldy, could have been told more about what the hotel offers

Rooms were great. Breakfast was excellent
Food and beverage Service was exceptionally slow on just about every occasion (except bar by reception). Especially due to the fact that it was rarely busy at any time. I fully appreciate island time, but you'd expect a bit more hussle with resort prices. Can't complain too much though as the sun was always shining!
