We had a wonderful time (though unfortunately short) at cucchiaio di legno. Place was lovely, nice room with cute cosy balcony, amazing breakfast with so many gluten free/dairy free options (the home made almond cake was to die for!)!
The spa was such a nice treat, with sauna, jacuzzi, fire pit and relax room.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Finally, we bought the mead and it was delicious!
We really hope we'll be back soon!
Nothing, everything was perfect, honestly.

Great spot, we loved the wellness facility, the chill-out room, the pool and the garden. Breakfast was fantastic, good location to explore Orta! Super nice, helpful and friendly staff! Highly recommended!
Mattress was a bit too soft for our taste, but nothing too concerning to spoil our fantastic stay!
4.7
Lovely staff- very friendly and always helpfully. Room was a very good size and clean. Have a number of free goodies in minibar which were very much appreciated. All in all an excellent choice
The swimming pool was not much more than a plunge pool so didn’t bother. But the sauna and other outdoor facilities were good for those that like them

Wonderful unique stay in a beautiful location. Staff could not do more to help us, they were all so lovely and really went out of their way to make everything easier for us. Fantastic balcony. Free bar and snacks!

everything. good room and shower. Free mini bar with lots of goodies including Prosecco. balcony with furniture and view of garden. lovely breakfast room with huge choice of local produce for breakfast, on tap coffee. wellness centre very good after a day out.
there was nothing we didn’t like. if we are being really, really picky there was no box of tissues.
4.7
Room was nicely furnished, lovely little patio area outside looking onto the garden and wellness area. I loved the sauna and the 'hay room', also the fire pit located right there just steps away. Breakfast was simply beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful.

Everything good!!

The facilities (including the spa and the wellness area) and the room are brand new. The breakfast was great and had a big variety, even beyond our expectations. It's great to have the option to use the coffee machine and grab some cake beyond breakfast hours. The restaurant was really great and we recommend trying the "tasting menu". We recieved a bathrobe and flip flops for the spa which was really nice.
We felt like the toilet was way too high which was not comfortable. Also, the rooms and the agriturismo itself is located pretty close to the train rails, and we could hear the train passing through.
It seems like you should have a car in order to stay at this place, because the nearest town was pretty far and downhill.

Clean, friendly, relaxing, romantic, big spaces. Beautiful view, with an exquisitely-designed deck. Breakfast with eggs. Great loose-leaf tea available all day. Apple trees around the back yard. Fancy, expensive dinner at the restaurant next door.
Bed is noisy and lumpy! Electric trains run along the property, but they are quiet. We cannot eat the apples, as they are used for food production. I want to be invited to learn more about the greenhouses. The spa shower, hay bed, fire pit seem interesting, but not entirely useful.

It is difficult to know where to start this review. This hotel is without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed in Italy. It is not easy to find so always ask the hotel to confirm the exact location as SATNAV does not help but so worth the effort. The hotel family are just amazing, friendly, welcoming, warm and so engaged in all they do, the homemade products like honey and jam plus wine, cheese, meats and bread make each meal a delight. Free mini bar with prosecco, biscuits, snacks, soft drinks is so unusual. Our room as fantastic with a lovely balcony which we enjoyed very much. The highlights for us included the wellness area which is just incredible (and free) and the dinner we enjoyed at the onsite restaurant (book to avoid disappointment) specializing in local dishes with modern and inspirational presentations matched by the wonderful Piedmonte wines. One night was not enough! We did not manage to leave the hotel as we enjoyed so much the facilities and happiness generated by the hotel family but the local area around Orta is so beautiful we must return. On leaving we received a large jar of honey (from their bees at the farm) and our Italian friends are enjoying this so much!

Everything here was fantastic! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the room was so clean, and there's a sauna and spa available too! On top of all that, the mini bar was absolutely free and the breakfast options are limitless!
My partner proposed to me in our room, so we were able to enjoy a bottle of free sparkling from the mini bar, then head over to the sauna and spa to relax, enjoy and celebrate!! More reason to not forget this place :)
We're so grateful for such a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back again and will be recommending this place 110% to everyone! Thank you so much to the lovely staff :)

Although not in the heart of Orta, this little gem allows easy access through beautiful thoroughfares to the town and the sanctuary with the benefit of the serenity of the countryside in the night. The appointments of the rooms are superb with every amenity you can imagine. The in room and honesty bar offers wonderful temptations and the breakfast was outstanding.

The staff, tasty pastries and cakes for breakfast
4.7
Fantastic breakfasts and complimentary minibar in the room! Great restaurant serving local organic produce
Shower cubicle too small. AC only down to 23 degrees. Restaurant serving slightly over elaborate dishes...
4.7
Run by an amazing team of women, the rooms are big and airy with balconies, the breakfast was incredible and everyone was extremely helpful.
4.7
Everything is high end. The staff are very service minded, Breakfast was perfect. This is for sure the best hotel/agriturismo my wife and I have tried.
And the restaurant in the hotel is fantastic.
4.7
It’s a beautiful hotel. Very clean. The four women who run it are very helpful and friendly. The wellness centre is immaculate with an outdoor jacuzzi, a sauna and an ‘emotional shower’. The bed was really comfortable.
The breakfasts are sublime; couldn’t be any better with a different smoothie and home-made yogurt brought to your table every morning in affitto a wide choice of meats, cheeses, eggs, pastries, fruit.
It’s a 10-15 minute walk to the lovely town of Orta San Giuglio which was perfect for us as we liked a bit of exercise to walk off the very generous breakfast!
Nothing, it was perfect for us.
4.7
The setting of the property in its green garden is absolutely fantastic. It is a short 25 minute walk into the centre of Orta San Giulio however Ortello beach is closer if you just want a swim.
The property is clean, modern, quiet, and the spa in the garden which is free to use is a great addition. The staff are extremely helpful, generous and accommodating. We had an early flight to catch and were made a breakfast which was bought up to us as we’d have missed the normal service. The breakfast is incredible, the coffee and water free 24/7 so you don’t have to constantly buy plastic bottles of drinking water, and generously of the hotel there is a free mini bar in the room.
The adjoining restaurant is fantastic, and the 10 course tasting menu a highlight.
Our only observation was that the air conditioning slowed itself down/turned itself off once or twice overnight so the room felt a little hot, but that is not a complaint. It may well be a power saving initiative as the hotel and restaurant has an organic garden and produces a lot of its own food, all of which is brilliant. 10/10 would happily return!

+ tasty and varied breakfast
+ staff is super friendly, makes you feel very comfortable
+ great surprise, they just added a "spa" to the hotel, a very nice touch and definitely makes it worth your money with sauna, tanning area, cold bubble pool, a special shower etc.
+ on a sunny day, the garden and spa area was a great place to relax and tan
+ free mini bar in the room and many other small thoughtful touches, which makes the stay very nice and unique
+ 24/7 coffee, tea, and cake in lobby
+ nice walk to the center (20min)
- rooms are not soundproof, woken up in the morning by guests waking up earlier
- the beds were not comfortable, much too soft for our taste
- better lighting/decoration in the bedroom could make the stay feel even better and more special
