It felt like 'home.' The vibe of the entire place is calm, quiet, peaceful & literal feet from the water. Erik & Jenny have created a place to relax and enjoy the Caribbean. Gabriela keeps the place very clean and you can tell it is her pride & joy to have a nice place for everyone. I loved the 'Community Kitchen' where people left extra food they bought but didn't use, or to cook in. The 'Community' bug sprays, lotions, shampoos, etc. And the random hammocks hanging for leisure were wonderful!

- Staff is very friendly.
- Spacious family apartment.
- Daily housekeeping (on the other hand this is absolute necessary for the apartment).
- The little entry to the water is nice.
- Great restaurants nearby (Flying Fishbone, Zeerover, Kamini, Collrado Shack, etc.).
- Lukewarm water is not as bad as thought.
- Family room with sea view has no real sea view.
- AC was either too cold or too warm because the door gaps are too big to ensure a proper climate control.
- Apartment stuff needs to be renewed. Especially bathroom and couch.
- Cockroaches (not the first guests mentioning this in the review).
- Private entry to the water is nice but often occupied by other guests (e.g. towel over deckchairs for over 3 days without anyone actually lying on it). Also, you would be sitting on the deck directly next to restaurant guests.
- For the price paid we feel that it was high compared to what we got. We stayed 1 week and after that had a second week in an apartment in the north of Aruba for a similar price with way more benefits and much nicer.

Beautiful little spot right on the ocean! Many extra amenities including large shared kitchen to prepare your own meals, with all cookware available. They also have all kinds of water sports equipment available for use anytime. Very peaceful sitting areas on the ocean, I enjoyed just taking it all in every night!
Sometimes parking was a little hard to find, with a popular and busy restaurant right next door.

I liked that it is quiet and private. It's away from the busy tourist area. The apartment we rented was clean, the sheets were clean. We were able to cook and the kitchen had what we needed, and a grill outside that we also used. There's also another kitchen aside from the one in our room which could be used as well. They didn't have hot water but that's because the water was warm coming from the faucets. Towels were provided and were clean. There's a small deck where you can sit and enjoy the water and sunset, and a small beach area with seats as well. It was especially beautiful at night. They have plenty of beach chairs, kayaks to use, and a few hammocks you can lie on and enjoy the weather. I didn't have any problems with noise from the restaurant nor other renters during our stay. Jenny was good in giving us suggestions where to visit on the island and even shared pictures.
Wifi was not good. The aparment was a little dated and could use some updates, but nothing to really complain about because its clean.

Just an awesome quiet place. Has great amenities. If you are looking to get away from downtown, this is a great place.
The parking wasn't great. Some nights we had to use the restaurant parking. We were sure to empty our car of anything before we parked for the night.

This spot is perfect for those who do not like big hotels, resorts, or anywhere busy. It is comfortable, welcoming and clean. We got to know some of the other people staying there as well, which was a bonus and a joy.

I loves that the property was close by the water.
I didn’t like that the property had no hot water to bathe in . After a long day of sightseeing and dining no one wants to take a cold shower. It was advertised as like warm but it was very much cold at all times throughout the day.

Everything about this place is perfect, wouldn’t change a thing.
People might not like the no running hot water, but the shower water is luke warm most of the day and it feels great after your overheated and clammy from being outside. No complaints here 👌

Perfect location to travel around the north and south side of the island. There are several restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. There is easy access to the sea, accessible parking, and kayak and snorkeling equipment provided. The rooms have a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The restaurant next door it's really good. A great choice for perfect vacations!

The location is superb. You are made to feel very welcome and it is a beautiful setting. kayaks were available for use, snorkelling gear, hammocks to relax in and right on the water. We enjoyed our time here very much.
No down sides.

Lovely, private, beautiful

A nice "private" stay away from the hustle of the busy tourist attractions
I understand the owner has both properties, the fishbone and the hotel, but didn't like the fishbone being so close to the hotel and sharing the dock

Location and view! Quiet beautiful and peaceful

Peaceful, relaxing, an assortment of chairs to enjoy the waterside (hammocks, sun beds, water chairs), bbq, full kitchen facilities, full accessible bookshelf, extra beach equipment to borrow for free (sun chairs, snorkels, flippers, beach noodles & sand toys & floaties, sunscreen, mozzie spray, after sun lotion), super friendly staff, having a car is necessary for visiting all the beautiful beaches. Swimming possible right in front. Kayaks to use. Restaurant attached (amazing food!) is 10% discount and a private entrance from the accommodation. Free parking. AC!
Mattress was super soft (not for everyone’s taste) 1 enjoyed it!

This hotel is a prime example that the class of a hotel is not the stars, marbles, mirrors or pools, but the people. Graciela and Victor are the backbone of this hotel and that you will feel as if you are going to your closest family. In this mega expensive island they will help you not to waste unnecessary money. Graciela your empanadas are the best in the world. Dear hotel owner I don't know how much you pay them but they deserve better.
The only thing that annoyed me was the lack of a fence from Fishbone restaurant guests . A bit unsavory and uncomfortable as a half naked guy with a sizeable belly like mine watched people eat their steaks and prawns

The location was excellent, we plan to make this our go to place in Aruba. The managers and their family as well as the other staff members were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the smaller 1 bedroom which fit our needs. We plan to bring the family back to stay in a bigger suite.
We liked everything. We were in a smaller room but the location made it worth it. I believe we paid a fair price for the room.

A real old fashioned family guest house, on the water, chill feeling
nothing to walk too, all waterfront/ beach is private, so you end up driving a lot, whats not relaxing.

Beautiful location, we had the sea view appartement which looks out over the bay, waking up to this sight in the morning is amazing.
Super staff !
Nothing to complain here.
Eric, Jenny and Graciela go out of there way to make you feel at home.
It’s not a high luxury accommodation, but everything you need is available and if anything is needed, the staff is always there to arrange it for you.
Thanks again Eric, Jenny and Graciela for the time spend with you on Aruba !
