Retreat: If you want to get away from Denver for a long weekend, or stay for a month as you write a novel, Big Rock Mountain House welcomes you to a brand new, modern, gorgeous mountain home that is casual, comfortable and custom designed to be a contemporary cabin experience. You will be surrounded by nature, tall pines, firs, wild large and small animals. Hikers and Anglers Welcome: The house overlooks The Lost Creek Wilderness. Hike the property--on one side, climb down the rock outcrop. Hike to South Twin Cone Peaks, Platte Peak, Payne Benchmark. Take a drive and go to Kenosha Pass, Windy Peak, The Castle, The Taryall Mountains, Puma Peak, or Mount Evans Wilderness to name a few. Anglers can fish in the river below but access is from Bailey and must be on public land. Or you can go to Pine, Shawnee, Boxwood Gulch, Blue River, Long Meadow, Chatfield Reservoir or many other fishing holes near and far. For details, check with The Knotty Pine in Bailey.

Beautiful mountain home overlooking the National Forest. We enjoyed our very quiet getaway for our son's wedding in nearby Morrison.

We had an amazing stay. The house was clean, and the description is very accurate. We loved the views! Jaron was great to work with and communicated with us quickly.

We loved everything about this mountain home! Our overall first impression was this place is stunning….then after a day you really appreciate the details. The lighting fixtures, the quality of the windows, the placement of the master shower windows. I can’t remember the last time I had a sunrise in the shower! The landscaping was beautiful. The kitchen was so well stocked we just bought the basics, milk, orange juice, eggs, bacon, etc. The oven was wonderful the coffee/drink bar was fun. At night, the outside lighting was beautiful. Bailey was a great location for a home base. There are very comfortable swivel club type chairs in the living room. In the morning you can have a cup of coffee and swivel around to one of the huge windows and have an amazing view. Just a beautiful property that has thought of everything!!

Second time we stayed here and everything was clean and well maintained. Great view. Internet was a little slow through satellite, but to be expected on location. Could still stream through Roku. Direct TV onsite.

My wife and I worked remotely from this home for the week. Great spot. There is a limit on internet usage that we were not planning on (used my ATT plan and my wife used the house wifi).
Overall the house was amazing and VERY well stocked. The kitchen had everything (and was in great condition). Lotsa puzzles in the pantry also if you are a puzzle person. Comfy beds also (which is something you do notice as you get older like us).
The housekeeper/cleaner was top notch also and it was obvious she took great pride in her work. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area / wanting somewhere cool outside of Denver.

It was just what we wanted. A place away from everything with incredible views.

We have stayed at many VRBO's and can honestly say this property is exceptional. As advertised, very clean, very well appointed, comfortable and a world class view. A great home for relaxation and access to the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

This house is amazing, very well stocked with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. Very clean and in top condition. The road to get to the house is a little intimidating at first, but we adjusted throughout the week. It would be best if you have a rental car to get an SUV. The views of the mountains are amazing, I could just sit and look out the window or from the patio for hours. The hot tub was just what we needed after traveling and hiking. Will definitely stay at this place again when back in Colorado! We did three shows at Red Rocks, and it was about a 45 minute drive. Denver is about an hour away.

This property is amazing! Views outstanding! Coffee every morning on the patio was so peaceful and relaxing. There were 5 adults and we had plenty of space to spread out. Ive never stayed at a VRBO with so many amenities whether provided by owner or left by previous renters. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, bakeware, dishes, tupperware, bowls, grilling utencils, potholders, towels, you name it and it was there. Also huge cupboard of spices, cooking spray, oil and lots of condiments in the Fridge. I would suggest checking it out before you go shopping! The town of Bailey is small but does have a cool little art gallery run by local artists of paintings, Photography, pottery, jewelry, woven items and more. Also a couple souvenir shops and one bar and grill "The Smiling Pig". We didnt eat but had delicious Moscow Mules! If you plan on hiking there are plenty of parks and trails nearby. Most activities are 1 1/2 to 2 hrs away. We did some day trips to raft and sight see - Royal Gorge, Breckenridge. Was so nice to get "home" and sit in Hot Tub at night. The drive up to the property was gravel road and switch backs but we never met any cars the week we were there. Cant imagine what its like in the winter!? The only thing I would suggest is a couple floor fans for the upstairs bedrooms. We opened windows at night and it cooled down, then shut shades and windows in the morning and the main floor stayed perfect all day but the upstairs took awhile to cool back down at night.

The place was beautiful and the view was amazing. Great place to relax and the hot tub at the end of a day of hiking was an awesome way to unwind. Waking up to the mountains always set the day off perfect. Great place to stay. Definitely keeping this on my list for future stays.

Highly recommend! The house was beautiful and clean with amazing views. Definitely recommend a larger vehicle to get to the house since it’s a bit bumpy but we had a small car and survived. We would definitely stay here again!

This house is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful location.
There was a fox den with kits nearby, There is much to explore in the area, but it was very hard to leave the house. The quiet was enjoyable and a perfect getaway.
We would love to return to this VRBO.

Came from NC to see Billy Strings at Red Rocks and wanted a great place to stay. This place exceeded my expectations! Absolutely immersed in the mountains, we got to wake up every morming to a beautiful landscape. It even snowed one day in the middle of May(we don't get that in NC). The house was also very clean and the owner had everything ready for us. If I ever come back to CO, I would definitely rent this house again!

First time staying at a mountain house and I along with friends were absolutely blown away by the views. The first day driving in was difficult because of a snow storm leaving behind ice on the roads. 4wheel drive is a must! The home was clean and the fireplace along with the hot tub got plenty of use. Don't expect extreme internet speeds here considering you are in the wilderness but it's fast enough to check emails and get work done.

We had such a wonderful time, wish we could have stayed longer! The views were absolutely stunning and the house had everything you could possibly need (including games and puzzles!). Our stay was nothing but relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful home. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was as listed. The Mountain View’s were awesome. If peace and quiet is what you are after than this VRBO rental is for you! Will return hopefully in the near future.

Beautiful house in the woods with amazing views!
Was everything and more!
Couldn’t have been any happier with the house and the rental process and with the owner!

This cabin has it all! From the moment you walk in to a breathtaking view, you will know you have chosen well. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Owner's suite is cozy and also has a great view. The outdoor area sweeps around from back to side with a large jacuzzi right there. From the living room, the porch or the jacuzzi, you can see that gorgeous ridge. It is, by far, my favorite cabin in the mountains!

Slow down time
It was so nice to slow down and have this very nice house to relax in. The views it has are just amazing. The house was a nice fit for us not to be around anybody and hear nature!

Perfect Get Away
We loved our stay. The last few miles of the drive to the home is a little scary for us flat-landers so we preferred to stay close to home as much as possible. But that was no issue because the home was beautiful and fully equipped. Having coffee on the patio every morning was perfect. The hot tub is a great addition and we used it a lot. There was an issue with a few items at the home but the owner was very responsive via text. We will be back to stay!

Amazing view!
The home was beautiful and extremely comfortable for our large group. Patio had plenty of seating to enjoy the amazing view. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and cookware and included several spices. Grocery stores, Safeway and King Sooper are closest grocery stores. About 13 miles from property. It’s a good idea to stop and get groceries before arriving, as the property owner advises. We were still close to White water rafting at Clear Creek, Denver Zoo, and Red Rock Amphitheater, where we attended a wedding. Overall, a fabulous place to stay.

Great Place! Million Dollar view!
My Wife and I stayed in June for 4 nights with our three adult sons. Everyone enjoyed the views and house! Super relaxing!. Million Dollar view! Close to hiking (Mt. Bierstadt - Wow views from top), brewery and restaurants. Hope to find another time to rent this place!

No complaints whatsoever. Great home.

Perfect spot for this flatlander!
What a great property and the location is spectacular. My adult kids told me the stay was like a separate vacation point, mixed in with fun trips to Red Rocks, Breckenridge, Boulder, and some fantastic hikes. Can't ask for a better central location.
The house is exactly as described, although it was actually better than we expected. Would love to come back again one day.

Absolutely gorgeous views and home. We really enjoyed our time.

Great Weekend
Used house for a mountain get-away/ girls weekend. The master shower is amazing. The house was very well stocked. The packet of information was a bit daunting to get through and felt a little excessive but answered any possible question we had during our stay. Gorgeous views, great space. Excellent hot tub and very well stocked. We did survive driving in in the dark and out in the snow...but definitely want to have 4wd as recommended- it was a bit stressful but successful. Owner was easy to reach and answered questions in a timely manner. Would definitely rent again in a heartbeat for another low key girls weekend.

Thanksgiving getaway
We celebrated thanksgiving in this beautiful cabin. Spent most of our time soaking up the sun outside, drinking wine in 36 degree weather. We loved it!

The Views
You’re really not for sure what to expect until you get to your destination. Sure, you can see pictures and reviews, but not until you get there do you get the full picture. This property has it all. It was clean, and oh my goodness the views were outstanding! My wife and I just wanted a week alone and we could not of picked a better rental. We will be returning!!

Great Family Vacation
Our family had a great time! The view from the property is breathtaking. The house is really nice and roomy. The property is centrally located to many of the activities in CO. We wound up taking 2-ish hour road trips each day of our vacation, which worked out great for our family and allowed us to stay at one spot our entire vacation. We’d highly recommend this property!

Peaceful and serene getaway!
It goes without saying every view is spectacular! We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing home to spend the week. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed (including kitchen amenities). We thoroughly enjoyed spending time outside on the back porch and sitting on the other strategically placed benches on the property which are perfectly situated for beautiful mountain views. The pool table and other games in the garage and the hot tub were an added bonus! Jaron did a great job with communication and we had zero issues. We definitely recommend this property and we're looking forward to coming back again.

Great Vacation
This home was amazing and provided my family and I the opportunity to rest and relax! The amenities were amazing and views were breathtaking. There were times when looking out the gorgeous windows, it felt as if we were floating on a cloud! Definitely will be returning for another stay!

Beautiful
We absolutely loved the location and house. It was a little hard to get to and wouldn’t attempt in the winter, but it was great for summer. View is epic. House is well stocked. Extremely clean. Beds and linens comfortable. Plenty of towels. Not all the jets worked in hot tub (first world problems) and we were a little put off by the excessive instructions from the owner. He has to be a Libra. Plenty of activities around the home including pool table and games and puzzles. Would stay here again.
