Alex at reception was super friendly and helpful. Any small problems were dealt with immediately and with great good humour. Check-in arrangements out of hours were excellent. Some rooms have en-suite but most do not - this is as expected in a hostel. Cleanliness was outstanding. Common areas included a lovely lounge and well-equipped kitchen with a great system for re-using left-overs from other guests and regular clear-out of the fridge. The location is superb - right near the Quay if you are arriving/leaving on the Lundy ferry. Towel hire available for £2 each, which was very welcome for those of us travelling light. No problem leaving bags for storage if necessary during the day of departure. The owners have recently invested in upgrading the hostel and it really shows.
Location can be noisy in the late evening due to nearby pubs and in the morning due to seagulls!

You're smack bang in the middle of town so location for price was amazing. A bus stop is less than a minute walk away which was super helpful for me as I was doing a lot of bus catching and meandering in the area. Hostel has a lovely wee communal living room and kitchen (fully stocked with amenities to use for cooking) that feels so homey. Bathroom facilities are clean and well maintained. Plenty of space for bags in dorm rooms with the option of a locker. Jimmy, the manager, was so friendly and welcoming and really set the tone for the hostel's atmosphere. This made the stay so much better as a solo female traveller- probably one of the most friendly hostels I've ever stayed at.
I've slept in comfier beds, otherwise nothing!

Fab location and facilities. Jimmy went out of his way to help. The secure bike storage was a massive bonus too! This made a great stopping point for our C2C trip.

Excellent location in relation to the harbour, restaurants and pubs, the Verity statue and the Tunnels Beaches. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful, providing excellent local knowledge. As a couple in their fifties who have used backpacker accommodation previously rather than the usual backpacker in their twenties, we did not feel out of place; indeed, there were a few other more mature travellers staying while we were there, too. A seemingly well-equipped kitchen is available, although I cannot comment further as we did not use it during our 2-night stay. For those travelling solo and concerned about safety, this is addressed with the premises secured adequately, with keypads used for entry to the building and to the rooms. Parking is available within a 2 minute walk and affordable; from memory it is free between 6pm and 8am. It was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful area.

Perfect location - next to the harbour and a short walk to the sea the other way. Close to bars and crazy golf.

Good room, central location. Not en suite but there were 2 bathrooms/toilets on our floor and we never saw anyone esle using them. Excellent value for money.
We were on the 3rd floor (no lift) - I'd picked it partly because of my daughter's health issues as it was central and on the flat - but it was a last minute boking and I didn't ask for a lower room so my fault I guess.
