attic style bedroom overlooking the cobbled streets very quaint
entry system superb and luggage facilities available after checking out was greatly appreciated

Nice location.
This is no way a 4 star apartment. You can not black it out to sleep at night, the “double bed” is uncomfortable and extremely small (1.40 width!), the couch is not big enough for two adults, and there is no elevator to get you to your room when you check in. I even found a hole on the linen! The apartment costs 300 euros per night, and all that it can guarantee you is that you will not sleep at night because of the light coming in from the window.

It is located on the north bridge, in the center of Edinburgh.
One of my worse stays ever. Got there to find out that the code to unlock the door wasn’t working, that there was no elevator to our room, and no one to help with the luggage. When we finally got into our apartment, we realized that the pics on booking.com were misleading. The bed was small, it was 1.40cm wide, no way two grown ups could sleep there. The couch was like a big armchair, not enough space for two people to seat. At night things got worse: the curtains are just rollers that cannot black the room out. In Edinburgh at 5.00 am it is already morning. The room was flooding with light, no way we could sleep. Since I had booked the room for 4 days, first thing in the morning I asked the manager to change my room. She said that she will look into it. she promised to ask her supervisor what can be done, and call me back, or send me an email. Of course, she never bothered to do so. I never heard of her again, she just disappeared. Apparently, in Linton Collection nobody cares about the customer, as long as they have taken the customer’s money. All in all, I payed 300 euros per night for a horrible stay. So, if you want to have a decent night’s sleep, if you want a proper place to stay and most of all, if you don’t want to feel like the hotelier’s sucker, just steer clear of this place.

It's in a great location, very central and near the train station. The building was easy to access and clean, and the room was clean and comfortable. It was expensive but that's to be expected, centrally in an expensive city.

Everything about this stay was excellent. Location couldn't have been better - walked to everything we wanted to do in Edinburgh. Close to all the major attractions. Bed was insanely comfortable and apartment was very spacious. Arguably the best stay on our entire two week trip.

it was great to have an apartment

Very easy access using code instead of fiddling with keys. Clean, quiet and spacious room with some useful facilities (such as washing machine, but no dryer) provided. Heaters are warm enough. Good value.
No convenient drop-off area to check in to the property. Poorly designed shower cubicle (no door) and water pump for hot water which causes pulsing hot water supply when water tap is turned on or when trying to use less hot water (perhaps the pump is too powerful which automatically shuts off when water pressure builds up within seconds of running unless the hot water tap is opened further). Lift does not reach all floors (only goes up to 3rd floor).

Fabulous apartment which has been beautifully converted in The Scotsman historic building. Spacious and stylish. Excellent location just a few minutes walk from the station and the Royal Mile. Nice finishing touches like Molten Brown toiletries in bathrooms. Easy access with personalised code to main door and apartment.

Both of us loved it! great facilities, amazing location, friendly staff, it was perfect!
4.6
Location is perfect - just outside the Royal Mile. Very easy to get in. Although there is no reception, we were able to get help easily - the host turned up in less than 5 minutes when we had trouble turning on the (old) heater.
We travelled during winter (Dec 2022) when Edinburgh was experiencing a really cold spell (temp was -2C). Because the building was a little older, the insulation was not the best. For some reason, the hot shower turns cold after 2 persons. No worries - just have to wait a little before the 3rd person uses it.

great location, nice entrance and decorated for Christmas, free luggage storage and easy access with entrance code, good kitchen facilities with fridge freezer
very cold apartment - only two small radiators worked, poor access to loft bed - wouldn’t want to be any older or would struggle to access, not very comfortable space to relax in for the price we payed
