About this house rental
Welcome to Paradise Found!
Here it is, a truly one-of-a-kind beachfront vacation home located directly on the beach of North Captiva. Boat-only access to this incredible property welcomes you to your own private dock. From here you will meander through the mangroves to enter this stunning, designer beach house. This home has been beautifully appointed with comfort and luxury in mind. The utmost attention to every detail was intended to maximize your overall experience of the island and your enjoyment of the beauty surrounding this unique and amazing home where privacy and comfort abounds.
Walk up the steps to your well appointed gourmet kitchen and great room. Cooking for your crowd is an absolute joy as you dice, slice, bake and sauté while enjoying the most incredible 360 degree view of the pristine white sand beach, pine trees, mangroves and crashing waves. Open up all of the newly replaced sliding glass doors and feel as though you are living in the pine trees while enjoying the refreshing gulf breezes. Take a seat in your living room complete with casually elegant and comfortable furnishings and decor and pour a cocktail at your bar with separate ice machine and wine/beer fridge at the perfect temperature. Step out onto your wraparound deck and take in the panoramic views which enable you to watch magnificent sunrises over the Pine Island Sound and breathtaking sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
First floor master bedroom is beautifully furnished with a Prana king sized bed. En suite private bathroom is spa like. Wake up and take in the fabulous gulf view. Also on the first floor is a bunk bed room complete with two full and two twin beds. Bathroom attached has a bathtub to facilitate easy beach clean up for kids. Walk upstairs to your second master, also furnished with a Prana king sized bed and attached to a spa like private bathroom. Walk out onto your private deck attached to the bedroom and listen to the osprey nesting just a few feet away. Last bedroom is furnished with two queen beds and another private deck overlooking the mangrove treetops and an amazing view of the bay.
The island scenery abounds in every direction.
This is truly a unique vacation spot where you can enjoy beach walks, shelling, paddle boards and kayaks, and some of the best fishing in the world right off your dock. You will see dolphins every day. As if on cue, in our experience, they seem to gracefully swim by just as we relax with a cocktail on the deck. No rushing to beat the masses and reserve a spot on the beach here. We have ample beach chairs, umbrellas, lounges and everything you could want for a relaxing and private day on the beach. No crowds or loud, annoying neighbors as you enjoy beach life. Rinse away the sand and salt in our outdoor shower. Enjoy seclusion and relaxation with your family.
We have come to enjoy grabbing a cup of coffee and walking a few steps to Redfish Pass to hook a snook or a trout with the rising sun. In addition, contacts for world class fishing guides are available for you. Arrangements can be made to pick you up right from the dock.
***This home is boat access only. Transportation to and from the island will be provided by the property manager. A boat is available to rent for qualified boaters. We find the boat truly enhances the experience. With the boat, you will be able to visit one of the small shops nearby for the forgotten items off of your list, or grab bait for fishing. A short boat ride away is the famous Cabbage Key, original home to "Cheeseburgers in Paradise". Also, the restaurants on Captiva and Sanibel are reopening and are better than ever. Some of our favorites are The Mucky Duck, the Green Flash and the Captiva House at Tween Waters..... just to name just a few.
We have been renting beach homes for many years. This spot has surpassed them all. After renting a house four doors down the beach for two years, we decided to take the plunge and buy our own. This is truly a unique and amazing experience. Prepare to completely unwind and relax as you enjoy beach living at its finest!
*** If you have never visited North Captiva before, it is truly a unique experience. There are no cars and no roads and no crowds. Provisioning requires a little planning as you will not be able to hop in the car to get that forgotten grocery item. Services are available through Publix, Instacart and private shoppers to take care of everything you will need. Order groceries ahead by going to Publix grocery store website and clicking shop. Next it should ask you to select a location, select, 3015 Southwest Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL 33991. Then you order through instacart. Under one of the items you have selected write: Order for North Captiva. Please prepare all items to be BOAT READY. They will put meats and other items in coolers for you. When you arrive at the supermarket, pull into a parking space marked, PICK UP. Call (239) 282-0625 and tell them you are there for your PICK UP order. Then continue on to Pine Island Marina to be whisked away to your private paradise.

This house was truly amazing!! We had the best vacation with our entire family of 11 and had the best time. The house was stocked with everything you can imagine and all the beach equipment to keep the family entertained for days. We boated, rode beach bikes, floated on the Bote floats, grilled out, played cornhole, and so much more. The ice maker and the new screens to keep bugs out of the deck were a complete game changer!! This is our second time staying at one of Lionel’s properties and it definitely will not be the last! Can’t say enough good things about it!

Not very often. Do you show up to a property and it is much better than actually described. The house, the property the location and the people were absolutely amazing. Lionel, Tyler and their team were over the top great. I didn't know what to expect being at the house was very secluded, and myself, and my entire family were absolutely blown away at how nice and clean And accommodating the home and area was. The house and property have everything you need. Whether it's plates cups spices pots pans a grill. They have everything you need plus more. We were very impressed with all of the amenities. I highly recommend this home and we will definitely be coming back.

Norman and Jessie were amazing! I couldn’t say enough good things about these guys! I was really afraid being off the grid would be stressful but they did everything for us whenever any issues arrived! The water filter needed replaced, boom they were there quickly to fix the problem! The home was beautiful, views were stunning, and amenities were plentiful! If you want relaxation, this is the place!!!!! I was even surprised to find a new charged AED in the home! All the kids loved it- ages 22, 20, 14,, 11, and 2 three year olds!

Paradise Definitely Foumd!
From our initial communication with our hosts, Lionel and Suzanne, until our departure, our experience was exceptional. The home was everything we imagined based on the website pics. Lionel, thank you for helping us navigate the waterways to and from the Marina.

The home is charming, clean, and the perfect getaway. The property manager insures that all the details run smoothly and is at the ready to answer any questions. Compared to other--often too crowded--places in Florida, North Captiva often feels like our own private island paradise.

We enjoyed our time at Paradise Found. The private beach was amazing. There was only a few times that someone walked by us at the beach. We have never had that experience on beaches in Florida. Shelling was terrific. The house was very comfortable and very well stocked and the sunsets were amazing. Lionel was out of town but his crew - Norm, Jesse and Tyler were great. Some of our crew enjoyed the fishing and they even brought more bait for our guys to fish with. We rented the pontoon and parked at Jensens Marina, a cab picked us up and took us to Sanibel for the day for beaching and biking. The only complaint I have is that we were NOT told that we shouldn't book a flight home so early in the morning. They weren't able to take us back to the Pineland Marina in the dark and you have to take into consideration the fog in the morning, etc. There can be many variables when vacationing on an island that we weren't aware of. We had to change our flights (which was a nightmare trying to get 8 people booked in these times) and it cost us many thousands of additional dollars. I am only writing this so that someone doesn't make the same mistake we did. Overall, it was a wonderful family adventure.

Beautiful!
Property was just as pictured! Having your own boat is essential and knowing how to navigate the crazy sandbars. In the description of this property it seemed like it would be simple to hire a water taxi. It is but you have to walk 4 miles to the north end of north Captiva and on the beach to get the harbor. We were able to pay someone to bring us back to our dock. It was expensive! Overall great experience- but be prepared with groceries and essentials!

We had a fantastic stay. Lionel and his staff helped us in all aspects of this wonderful adventure.... brought my own boat and met Lionel at Marina. He escorted us out to house and had a crew there to help us unload. Immediately available for any and all issues.... nothing significant. The house itself is wonderfully appointed. Additionally, lots of beach toys, chairs, accessories. Kitchen stocked with lots of basics.
Marvelous experience.... will return.

Perfect Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! From pick up to drop off it was a great experience. The home is in perfect condition and well maintained. The location is unbeatable with almost no one else on the beach. We saw dolphins multiple times every day. Fishing is great right from the dock. We also rented a boat which was great for visits to Cabbage Key, Captiva, and more. Overall an amazing experience.

Our New Go-To
If you are wondering how to get away from the insanely busy and populated Florida Panhandle, North Captiva is your answer--calm, serene, and beautiful. This lovely property is somewhat secluded and yet shopping and restaurants are but a short boat ride away. The property managers--Lionel, Suzanne, and Tanner--made the check-in and check-out process effortless and were always available to answer questions. We have stayed at many beautiful beaches around the world, but this is the one that will be our new steady go-to. Retirement plans in North Captiva? Definitely a possibility now.

Great Home/Location & Fantastic Service
Everything about this property is perfect. The home has been updated and has all the amenities you could want in an island home. It was just as fun for my 2 & 4 year old children as it was for the adults. I can’t say enough about Lionel and his family and the service level. I strongly recommend this property!

This is a magnificent home but the setting and experience is what makes it truly 5 star. If you have a bit of boating experience and want a fun adventure this is the place for you. Hosts were super helpful and getting to and from was a breeze - boating and fishing the inland water and exploring the other islands in the area was a blast and the beach and sunsets can't be beat!

Paradise Found Sums It Up
Ten of us, 7 adults and 3 young children found paradise. The house is amazing and accomodated the 10 of us perfectly. The wrap around porch is a great and adds lots of space and provides a perfect place to watch the sun set after a day at the beach. Lionel was great and made us feel welcome immediately. The house had everything that we needed and more. It was a wonderful mini vacation and like Arnold says, we will be back!

Just as beautiful as it’s described!
My family and our friends loved our stay! It’s just as picturesque as it looks! The house is very private and my kids loved fishing on the dock. The beach is gorgeous. We loved seeing all the turtle nests and even adopted one!
We plan on making this a future vacation spot!

Paradise on North Captiva
This beach house truly is amazing. It sits directly on the beach with a 30 second walk to the ocean. The back of the house leads to a dock on backwater that offers great fishing. There are some fishing poles provided but if you're really interested in fishing I would recommend bringing your own. We brought a cast net which was beneficial as there is an abundance of bait fish right off the dock. The house has been fully renovated and is nicely furnished. We cooked dinner every evening and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed. The house does run on solar power and generator when needed which I don't recall being mentioned in the listing. We did have a couple issues with the generator however Lionel was very quick to respond and walked us through getting things up and running. There are kayaks, a nice paddleboard and other items to enjoy on the beach which is fairly secluded with very few other beachgoers. All around great experience which we would highly recommend and look forward to coming back to in the future.

North Captiva beach house
This was the best beach house rental I have ever had the privilege of staying at! The house was absolutely gorgeous with beautiful craftsmanship and the location can’t be beat! The house had everything you could possibly want and more! It has 2 master suites both directly overlooking the ocean, great for 2 families. If you are looking for a secluded, peaceful place surrounded by nature this is it! The property manager Lionel and his wife Suzanne did an outstanding job helping us settle in and the check out process was efficient. Rent the pontoon boat, you won’t regret being able to see the island and surrounding islands by boat...lots of dolphin and other wildlife! Loved our stay, 5 stars all the way!

Definition of Paradise
There are no words to describe the beauty of this place. From check-in to check-out, Lionel was a superstar. We traveled to the island with our two boats and Lionel answered our every need in terms of logistics and navigation of the local waters. The dock is first class, not to mention it's surrounded by crystal clear water filled with redfish, snook, sheepshead...you name it!
There really was no need to leave the island and you probably won't even want to! The house is stocked with everything you could ever need. This place was so beautiful that all 9 of us got up at sunrise every morning so we wouldn't miss a single second of the day.
We will be back for sure. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

Amazing Vacation Spot
This was a wonderful place to spend with our family! The views were beyond beautiful. We enjoyed watching the sunset every night. It was fun to watch all the boats go by and walk around the island looking for shells. The kids enjoyed the paddleboards, bodyboards, and toys.
The house was gorgeous and laid out very well. It was great for our family to stay in. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the washing machines were great! The patio was great to read and relax and fun for the kids to play on in the mornings. The beds were really comfortable and the kids LOVED the bunk bed room. It was nice to be able to open the patio doors and get a nice breeze in through the house.
Suzanne and Lionel were wonderful to work with. They answered any questions we had. The boat transfer process was easy and fun.
This place is one of the best we've ever been to and we cannot wait to go back!

A Dream!
We absolutely loved our stay. If you want a luxury property off the grid, this house is for you! You must rent Lionel’s boat, to enhance your experience and to be able to travel over to Captiva, Cabbage Key, etc. We traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids and had tons of room. The house is completely renovated including an awesome kitchen that we cooked in every evening. If you are questioning the cost...don’t...I promise you it’s 1,000 percent worth it. You will love this place and thank me later :)

A little slice of paradise
Our family had a wonderful time staying here. We did the week before Christmas and even though the weather got a bit chilly for a couple of those days, we all had a great time, the kids (8 and 10) all the way up to 93. The beach was beautiful and very quiet and was so nice to have just a few steps out the back door. Renting the boat is a must. It was pretty simple and this is coming from someone who hasn’t driven a boat much and never on the ocean. The low tide made it a little challenging, but I was even able to navigate us back home in the dark one night after eating dinner on Captiva. The house perfect! It had everything we needed. The kitchen was new and fully stocked and i love to cook, so that was a great surprise. It is beautifully decorated, laid out well and very comfortable and very clean! We loved that each room had their own bathroom and air conditioning. The kids loved the bunk beds. Lionel and Suzanne were great. They were very helpful and got back to us right away if we needed anything or had questions. It was a perfect getaway for the whole family. We hope to be back!! Thanks you guys!! The Berman family

One-of-a-kind experience!!!!
What an incredible week! Not sure where to start. From the private white beaches, to the remote feeling and environment, to the new house renovation, to the private bay-side dock with private pontoon boat (additional to rent, but well worth it), to the incredible management service (he lives 3 doors down), to the dolphins that will swim right up to the boat and dock (TONS of dolphins), to the very close proximity to the mainland...
This is a unique trip that promises a VERY unique beach experience compared to anything you are used to... guaranteed. There are only 11 houses on this tiny strip of private paradise. The manager, Lionel (hard to call him “the manager”, he will be your friend by the end of the trip), will transport you to and from the mainland marina (only a 20 min boat ride), answer any questions you have, keep great communication on the phone during the trip, helps with boat rental and navigation to neighboring islands, maintains the property, and does not ONCE grow irritated with repetitive requests. He is a great guide, but honors your privacy as well.
Activities that are at your fingertips:
-wraparound 2nd story porch plus 3rd story porches with great bay and beach views. Tons of room to hang out and entertain
-great beach only steps away
-bay just out the back door with private dock and great fishing
-RENT LIONEL’S PONTOON! Many close-by islands with museums, shops, and great restaurants... all with easy boat parking. You won’t get the “full experience” without renting a boat. And the rental price is really cheap. Dolphins will swim right up.
FINALLY... if you are hesitant... call and ask questions. Lionel will do a great job explaining how everything works. It takes an attentive manager to pull an island trip like this off. And he makes it go without a hitch. Call him if you are second-guessing this rental. He will ward off your concerns and everything he says is honest and accurate. I should know because I was a little bit of a sceptic as well. A remote island with no auto transportation sounded a little worrisome to me. But he eased my concerns and, in the end I’m glad he did... because I cannot imagine how the week could have been any more perfect.
Thank you so much for creating the perfect summer vacation!

Truly Paradise Found! Absolutely Amazing.
We recently rented this newly renovated property along with another family. This is a special place and we felt lucky to be able to spend a week at such a beautiful, luxurious home. In total, we had four adults and six kids, the house fit everyone with room to spare. The location of this home is truly unique with its own private dock on one side and private beach on the other side. The whole property has undergone a first class renovation and has the most perfect decor. It also has a giant wrap-around deck which is a great place to kick back and watch the sunset or play ring toss with the kids. The house has an open floor plan with glass sliders that open wide on each side to let the ocean breeze in. The kitchen is chef grade with new appliances and everything you would ever need to cook and entertain. It also had an extra refrigerator, a beer/wine fridge, and a ice maker. The home is cooled by ceiling fans and/or powerful AC units. What is really amazing is that the entire house operates off of a state of the art solar system. It even has a high tech water filtration system. Each spacious bedroom has its own brand new spacious bathroom. The house feels remote but has high speed wi-fi and satellite T.V. Our kids had a blast spending their days fishing on the dock and at nearby Redfish pass, kayaking (house has 2 kayaks) or just relaxing at the beach. You will see lots of wildlife including dolphins and Manatee. The beach is absolutely stunning. This house comes with everything you need for the beach — chairs, umbrellas, towels, kites, games, coolers - everything. The property manager, Lionel, is a really nice guy who made sure every detail was taken care of in advance. This is a beautiful, unique place, we cannot wait to return. One of our favorite vacations.
