Our hostess Ximena was super. She prepped us a tasty fruit and toast breakfast every day, helped us book tours and transport. We felt at home and among family. The use of the kitchen area is convenient. The hotel is a few meters away from a Pharmacy and a Supermarket which helps.
The location is great, walk to conchal and a short ride to flamingo and Potrero. All these things make up for the relatively low upkeep and comfort.
The mattress was OKish and the bed was super freaky. These days a latex mattress can make a stay much more enjoyable. A solid mattress is one thing I expect in a hote. General upkeep is needed on the grounds. It's a family run B&B so I didn't have super high expectations. We could hear even normal volume conversations as the rooms are close to the dining area, the door isn't sealed and the windows are thin. It didn't really bother m
e but it could be a thing for light/early sleepers or late risers. It depends on how noisy or quiet the other guests are. We were lucky

Such a wonderful experience with everyone so very friendly. I loved all the wood in the room and also I thought the outside area to sit was wonderful. Fruit in the morning was delicious

You feel like you are staying with relatives. Ximena, the manager, is a great host.

It is a wonderful place. We went in September so there were less tourists. The city itself is fantastic, the beaches are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay in Quinta Esencia with the nicest staff in Costa Rica. The breakfast was great, the location is really good and the decoration is just perfect. They also put up some decoration for our honeymoon.
We liked everything.

The rooms are very well appointed and lots of little thoughtful extras, it feels like they give the same experience they would want to have.
11am check out preferably to 10am

It is a very quaint and intimate property. The room was comfortable and a nice breakfast was set out each morning. Our host Nate was exceptional. He was easy going and fun to chat with. He guided us to an amazing restaurant Papaya and directed us in booking a jet ski tour. We had a fabulous time in Brasilito and would highly recommend staying here.

It’s quiet, clean, and the owner is very accommodating.
The new owners just bought the place so the things that need improvement, such as structure and access to kitchen appliances and water, will be updated beginning 4/20/22. We look forward to seeing it when it’s finished. Also, steer clear of the beach in Brasilito due to horse droppings all along the beach from tours. As many others have commented, walking to Playa Conchal is short and easy—and it’s one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica.

Small lovely BnB with very friendly hosts. The rooms were well equipped and the bed was huge and comfy. The deck was lovely and the self service breakfast was very good.
The driveway was a little tricky. The pool was very small and a bit uninviting.

Nice decoration. Room was big. Bed was comfortable.
Isolation between the different rooms is not good enough. We can hear a lot the neighbours.
Entrance for the car is not super convenient.
I would have needed some more shelves in the bathroom (near the sink and also in the shower )

Overall a great place, especially for the price. The staff (owners) are great people and the location was relaxing. Just off the beach and quite, yet close enough to everything so you can walk easily if you want.
The only drawbacks were that the bed wasn’t as nice as my own, you can hear through the walls (luckily we were the only ones there so it worked out) and even with the air on your cloths would remain damp in the room. Can’t complain much about that for the price.
A great, comfortable and quiet place to get away.

Nice family run place. Decent location.
Not very well maintained and definitely not what I was expecting for the price.

If you are looking for a place with a special chill and relaxed vibe, search no more, this hotel is nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable.
French style breakfast is good and ready as you wake up. Location is perfect if you are visiting Brasilito (walking distance), Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, etc.
And the best, owners are a very helpful, a nice family that will assist you organizing activities, providing local tips or simply help you whenever you need them, while allowing you to have as much privacy as you need.
We would definitively stay here when we come back to Guanacaste.
