Found it a great location and very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location for beach opposite (2 minutes walk) where there are some places to take shade and have a drink. It’s a good snorkelling spot and you have the ‘under water temple’ snorkelling spot right there-all ‘walk in’and accessible. Up the road (the hill) there are some really nice restaurants with good sunset views-all easily walkable. You are at one end of the beach though so it’s a bit of a walk along the road for access to everything on the strip. Family/people running the property were very nice and helpful and always spoke to you and asked how you were. Amed is a superb place to go if you want to dive and snorkel-best place we went for that in Bali.

Breakfasts were the same and not always well cooked (a little burnt) and there was only one plug in the room-not well located. Otherwise it was great value accommodation in a good location and I would recommend it.

We booked a bedroom for two which was big and clean. The personal was really kind and you can rent materials for a really good price. there was water available and the breakfast was included. The quality price ratio was really good. I would highly recommend to book a bedroom here.

Family-run homestay with spacious rooms.

Very near the beach. Room was spacious. Family-run, all were helpful. The owner was able to drive us to local places several times, so we avoided renting a scooter. We mentioned that the AC was not cool enough and he had it serviced the same day and it solved the problem.

Very friendly staff. The room was huge and well equipped. There was hot shower and free water refill. It was very close to the beach. The room was quiet.

Would only recommend if you absolutely cannot spend more money.

This was cheap. Good wifi.

The rooms smelled of mold and the roof looked like it was about to collapse above the bed. Everything had mold on it (curtains, walls, bathroom bin, toilet paper holder) and the smell of mildew was horrible. Rooms need to be updated terribly.

Friendly staff, litterally in front of Jemeluk Beach (great spot for snorkeling), room and bathroom always clean. A lot of warungs in the area too and a small convenience store close by (3mns walk).

Located near to nice snorkeling spot and warungs, and boat to Gili. Friendly staff. Simple crepe for breakfast, but tasty. Pretty big empty room.

The dorm beds were super comfortable and felt spacious.. The staff were really nice too and rented snorkel gear for a great price.

Theres not a common area really to hangout comfortably other than the dining/breakfast table.

The room was nice, as seen in the photos. The facilities are good.

I got bitten by mosquitoes and it stays itchy for 3 days, and I'm Indonesian, never had terrible itching like this before in 36 years of my life. That's why we can't enjoy the garden and always stays on the beachfront warungs.

The host, Pak Made was super friendly. The place is simple but very homey. The room is spacious and the dormitory is very clean and equipped with nice beds. The AC is quiet and working well too. I LOVE THE LOCATION! Right across the street is Jemeluk beach, very clean, clear waters with perfect temperature and very calm (just right at the gulf) and an ideal snorkeling spot. The jukungs (traditional fishermen's boats decorating the shore makes the beach look even more enchanting.

I won’t stay anywhere else in Amed. It is such a perfect garden homestay just steps from the beach. Super big and clean room, simple breakfast and such friendly staff!

Great location

It’s a small accommodation run by a balinese family. It was very clean and the location amazing: 1 minute to the best snorkeling point in Bali (Jemeluk Bay) and 2 minutes to the best view point of the bay. The breakfast was simple but very good. Made (the owner) and his wife helped us with everything we needed. They offer snorkeling equipment for rent at a good price. We loved our stay in Pondok Aldi and we’ll definitely stay there again.

It’s located on the main road and in the morning it can be a bit noisy. There’s also a mosque nearby and you can hear the call for the prayer. For us this wasn’t a problem, but maybe for people with light sleep can be.

Traditional Balinese homestay

Great location especially for walking to beach, restaurants and scuba schools. Spacious room, big bed. Wifi excellent. Stayed in double room with fan... Also family is lovely.

Love the family!

I was lucky enough to visit during low season and got the hostel room to myself for 2 nights. Since I was mainly looking to dive and sleep this was perfect. The family’s was very welcoming. I fell in love with the kids and played with them for a bit. The room was extremely clean. The breakfast was perfect. I would stay there again!
