Very warm welcome from Jovanka. Comfy, quiet, stunning location, delicious breakfast, great value, 2 minute walk to the pub. Glengarirff is beautiful, if you’re going, then stay at The Black Sheep

Un logement avec un accès étonnant près de la rivière... Nous recommandons vivement. Les hôtes sont très accueillants! Très bien situé!
Rien, c'était très bien!

The hostess is wonderful. I was extremely well looked after. You can swim in the river out the back or in the harbour down the road.. The village is a short walk away. Good choice at breakfast and there was a welcome drink and cake on arrival. It was lovely to chat on the decking, overlooking the river and with the mountains in the background. I was cycle touring and my bike was safely stored in the garden.
It's a shared bathroom, but that's fine. You know this in advance.

Somptious breakfast with a great choice that set you up for the day. Free use of the property's canoes on the river with lifejackets supplied. Ideal location within walking distance of Glengarrif village. Helpfull staff.
Nothing in particular.

Had a great relaxing stay, our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Shared toilet facilities did not bother us at all, clean and plenty toiletries available. We had all we needed for our stay. Breakfast good, we had porridge, juices, fruit, scrambled egg, toast, homemade scones and plenty coffee. Just right, as we were going off to enjoy the area. The location is ideal, plenty parking spaces, only a very short walk to the town. We have always enjoyed our stays, we came back and we will be back again. Fabulous hosts, really make you feel welcome. Really genuine and one of a kind.

The Guest House was good located near the centre. The host was kind and She prepared a good breakfast for us.
We think the property was not so clean.

It’s right on a small river with a swimming hole, free use of kayaks, 5 min walk to pubs, and fresh baked scones and croissants for breakfast!!! What more could one ask for? Kind, friendly and informative hosts? Yes that too!

The location could not be better with the veranda overhanging the river. The host is as good as you get, warm, welcoming and determined to give you a great stay.
The facilities are a little dated.

Very friendly and kind owners. The lift! Beautiful location and views.
Nothing really but, if pushed…..the very minor inconvenience of shared bathroom.

We always enjoy our stay, it is such a pleasure staying in The Black Sheep, so welcoming and comfortable. It is a lovely gem and is a short walk to the town. You are really taken care of and the breakfast sets you up the day, the best scrambled eggs and homemade scones in town. It is our go to place if we want to stay in Glengarriff. We will be back in 2023. Thanks for all that you do to make our stay wonderful.

really good value, a great price.
accommodation was very basic but this was reflected in the good price. I was in the attic room which was spacious but there was restricted access as there was a very steep set of stairs, almost a ladder, it was fine for me as I am fit and able. However if you had mobility issues this room would not be suitable.

The house was astonishingly beautiful with charm flowing out the windows. I wasn't expecting it to be perched atop a piece of mountain with a staircase carved out of rock. It was on the river with a few kayaks out front. The hosts were terribly kind, exceptionally accommodating, and so warm they felt like family. Our upstairs room had a sink IN it, and we had a private toilet. There was a second one downstairs.
The only real negative is that we had to leave. It's good to be mindful that the shower facilities are not private / attached to the bedroom, so I got dressed in the bathroom instead walking naked to our room, but that's hardly a problem.

Really nice place, nice breakfast, nice hosts and good travel advises.
If the weather is nice, you can enjoy the view on the river.
The pubs are easy to reach walking

The staff was friendly and helpful. We asked about a good place to eat and they invited us to join them when they went out for diner. It was nice to have company while we ate. They helped us with knowing the best places to sight-see.
It rained all day. :( but only God could change that.
