Lovely

Excellent location near the train and bus station as we went by public transport Very friendly staff / owner, who went out of her way to please, e.g. added Devon speciality of white / hogs pudding for breakfast On last day after checkout gave us access to a room with toilet before our train home. There was a guest fridge which was very helpful.

The stay was fantastic we enjoyed everything thankyou

Breakfast was amazing there was everything u wanted and sue was a delight and welcoming we really enjoyed our stay my grandson wants to go back and stay very soon as well

To be honest nothing could be better as everything was amazing and felt like home we had everything we needed

Amazing stay

Everything from the moment we got there till we time we left we was made to feel like family not guests, Rooms was fantastic,breakfast was out of this world, the hosts where probably the best I've ever come across. I will definitely be back as its the best place ever. In the best location right on the middle of everything

Valdene stay.

Return again Lovely hotel , in every way, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel was spotless, proper home from home , We were met on arrival by the owners sue and Duncan , taken to our room, which was lovely, breakfast was wonderful,sue and maddie served breakfast, we had all we wanted, will definitely return. Thank-you so much for our stay.

what an amazing experience. and amazing hostess. Sue and Duncan were wonderful. They helped direct me to great places to shop and find last minute needs. I ended up going back an extra evening towards the end of my trip. I highly recommend staying here! Beds were super comfortable and the breakfast delicious! Definitely a highlight of my time in England.

Sue was amazing and very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Room was cleaned daily and you can't fault anything. Just amazing

Parking was a problem … as little parking .. local tariffs reasonable .. sue did come tell us when a spot had come available upon our arrival

Sue was lovely and went out of her way to ensure all our needs were met.

The location was fabulous , good value for money. Breakfast was lovely and hosts were very welcoming would definitely stay again. Family room was ideal for us and very comfortable. Some nice touches like a fridge on the landing and free toiletries.

Room and breakfast excellent. Location fine. Friendly hosts.

Designated parking spaces close to the Hotel would be a bonus. Nearby parking is mainly limited to availability of spaces at 'pay at meter' in Queen's Road between 10:00am and 6:00 pm. Free overnight.

It exceeded our expectations & would definitely go back. Happy memories.

We received a lovely welcome & breakfast was always excellent, quick & couldn't be faulted. The location is brilliant, close to both train & bus stations & shopping facilities & of course, the sea-front. Sue made us aware of the best places to eat & nothing was too much trouble for her. (She even offered a bucket of water & sponge to remove the seagull poo from our car)!! Would thoroughly recommend the 'Valdene'. This was our first visit (& no, we are not related)!

Going home! Although there is no parking on site, this was not a problem as parking opposite on the road was available & the frequent public transport facilities made it easy to explore without the need to use the car.

From the moment sue opened the door when we arrived to the moment we left she made us feel so welcome, such a lovely lady, breakfast was lovely, room was comfortable will definitely go back there again (and we loved the fish)

Bath room was a little small but that was not an issue

Best hotel ever

The Valdene hotel is everything that any guest could ever ask for. Given the warmest of welcomes that I can personally say I have ever been given, I can safely say that our 11 night stay at the Valdene hotel was certainly the best. Many thanks to Sue for a wonderful stay. We will certainly be staying again.
