Relaxing family holiday at the beach

The staff was amazing. Very friendly and helpful with our needs as a family with a 8 month old baby. Food at the restaurant was good, and the restaurant is probably one of the best places in town for drinks at sunset and watching people kitesurf! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the hotel provided us with a cot for our child although on the booking.com page, it says that they don't do that.

If you are planning to kitesurf, there are more convenient options along the beach in a similar price range. Aim for a place between the middle and the western end of Cabarete beach; that is where the wind is! Note also that waterfront is more accurate than beachfront for this hotel; the beach ends west of this hotel.

Great gem, perfect for our family

The photos were accurate. the room was perfect for a family of 4. plenty of space, full kitchen, comfortable living area and nice dining area. we had a great view. really enjoyed the balcony. the staff was very helpful and friendly

Beautiful ocean view. Quiet..away from crowded areas.

My room was very nice but on the 3rd floor without elevator. It was quite a workout for me. But not a problem the nice staff helped us with the suitcase.

I would definitely come back.

The security deposit was not mentioned before making the reservation. The deposit exceded the cost of the actual reservation. I was informed during check in, it was returned efficiently but it just toile me by surprise.

An excellent hotel at a beautiful location with a nice pool right at the beach.

An excellent hotel at a beautiful location with a nice pool right at the beach. Good restaurant with a reasonable choice of food. Secluded garden setting, All rooms have ocean view. Some 300 meter walking to the 10 to 15 beach front restaurants and bars, You can walk over the beach. A big supermarket at 50 meter closeby, also laundry shops and many other shops on walking distance. There is much security around the hotel and very friendly staff everywhere. Taxi transportation from/to the airport was arranged by the hotel and costs 2.000 pesos (some $ 35).

In the booking process I booked a room of 50 m3 but that was the size of a double room; our room was 25 m3. That was a disappopintment and that should be changed in the booking.com system. Minor repairs had to be done in the room, but those were done instantly on our request. There is not much to do in the area around Cabarete.

The Location.

The total amount of my reservation was around $250 usd on Booking. But when we get to Velero Hotel we was charged $350 usd. The Staff at Velero told us Extra $100 dollars supposedly for taxes. This is the first time i was charged extra for taxes using Booking.com. On top of that the hotel Charge a $200 dollars security deposit.

too small they dont even have a spa

they have pictures on the website that are no theirs . the pool is super small and the housekeeping touched my work bag and thro it out in the garbage without asking , plus when i went inside the room the first thing i saw on the bed was a roach . the bathroom was nasty the hotel only had breakfast included they dont have a. buffet . is very small and the parking lot is so far from the entrance and you have to walk alot also they dont have a elevator or a lil car to travel ur suitcases . they have to bring it upstairs , and they have to renovate the whole hotel it looks old school and some pictures that they have on the website are not from the hotel .

Excellent, much better than we thought

In general, everything was excellent, more than we expected. Very rich, abundant and beautifull breakfast. Clean, nice heated pool. Open until 10pm (22hrs) The staff is super friendly, nice and willing to help and inform at all times. Especially Mr. Romis from the front desk. For your kindness and for offering all the necessary information so that we had a good stay. We would return without hesitation to stay at this hotel. Recommended.

They should change the pillows and use a quilt to make the bed that gives a morestriking and fresh sale to the beds.
