Great location and friendly Helpful staff

Mold on the mattress and probably elsewhere in the bedroom kept us from sleeping well. We coughed all night every night. Good place for a Basecamp but not to spend time in.

This is how you they did it in 1950s

Location was great, many super markets nearby for breakfast, they do their own bread among many other options. Cala Galdana is great as well, one of the few beaches with parking "nearby" (many others you have to walk/hike 20+ minutes). Many good restaurants for dinner as well. Bed was big and comfy. Parking on the street was easy and free.

The apartment feels 70 years old. In good condition, but old. Not modern. There is a kitchen but you need to buy everything, salt, sugar, oil, coffee. Many things that will be wasted. Used to have all of those available when staying in AirBNB. The dryer of the complex let me down the last day, it refused to start, they couldn't fix it. Had to travel with wet clothes in the baggage. Lastly, I found it was not a great value when my friends stayed in a far better equipped hotel for the same price.

Damp room, nice view

The Desmais is situated in a quiet area 10 minutes walking distance to Cala Galdana. The property outside is well maintained, with each flat balcony facing a beautiful park. x2 complimentary biscuits, small water bottles, tea bags and coffee pods. The coffee machine was broken but changed with a new one on the second day.

Inside the flat was the older version of the photos posted on Booking. Right after our arrival, we noticed various things missing, making our stay uncomfortable. The kitchen came with very few supplies. Didn't include bottle openers, scissors, or any bowls, just to name a few. A screw was fixed on a wall as a kitchen towel holder. The bathroom didn’t come with any sort of free toiletries, not even a small hand soap, bin bag, or a toothbrush mug. Hanger wasn’t well fixed, and the shower and window were moldy. The bedroom was pretty humid with a damp smell coming from the wardrobe. It was promptly cleaned with bleach the day after, so then it smelled both damp and bleach. For obvious reasons, we couldn’t use the wardrobe and had to keep our clothing in the luggage for our stay and making them wrinkled. There are two bedside lamps but not the main one, so we have to walk in the darkness to turn on the light. Bed side is good but the mattress was sunken on one side. The blanket was too short and didn’t cover the feet. On the first night, I was cold caused the dampness but the flat didn’t have an extra blanket. After commenting on what is listed above, they have provided hand soap (apparently it was a gift), washing up liquid with a sponge, and an extra - short - blanket. The fact they didn’t take any responsibility made the customer service experience poorer. Despite the unhealthy condition of the bedroom, they didn’t empathise without even with an apology, not considering giving us another accommodation or any sort of compensation. On top of that, in the middle of our holiday, we received, out of the blue an unpleasant notification from Booking. Desmais reported us for misconduct, saying that one of their staff ‘felt threatened’ while we explained the situation. The staff member later on confirmed that didn’t feel attacked. Apparently, the report came from the manager, whom we never met in person just contaced her in polite terms by email.

Overall very happy with Desmais, as good or better than other apartments in the area

The staff were very helpful with everything from booking restaurants to ordering a taxi and allowed late check out on our day of departure

The apartment was a bit small we were a family of four with kids age 14 & 11, we are just used to a bit more space at home, however we really only were in the apartment to sleep, so it was really fine, it was nice and quiet and the forest view was lovely

NO AIR CONDITIONING, no good value for money

Good location you can reach the beach and restaurants and supermarket in 5-10 min walking, the view from the terrace is very nice, enough space for 2 people and nice furnishing of the apartment, no mosquitos :)

1. Not very clean, I had to wash properly plates and glasses that we used, there was no bottle opener in apartment 4 so we had to buy and left it there and we found dirty paper towels under the bed... 2. Not very good communication with the facility, I wrote to ask about parking availability and got answer after 4 days, in the meantime I called also and was never called back. We were told to park in space 4 but a car was already parked there...careful with the parking on the street the police comes and gives 200 euro fines if you park across the street. Also very difficult to find parking in August... 3. I paid 200 euros per night for 7 nights...I was expecting at least to have enough toilet paper for my stay. There was no cleaning and no change of bedsheets during the stay and in August without airconditioning that is not a nice experience to let guests sleep 7 nights without change. At least after the 4th night bedsheets should be changed 4. Check in only at 15.00 and check out at 10.00. the other hotels where we stayed offered check in 14.00 check out 12.00

Best food

Live music in the evening! Amazing food! Very big choose for breakfast and dinner. Nice, big swimming pool. Sunbeds with amazing view!!

Old furnitures but can't complain. We had amazing stay :)

Lovely place, staff and location

Lovely place, staff and location.

The swimming pool is little, so it can be crowded very easily. As there is no AC if you sleep with open windows you can get noise from other apartments.

perfect!

beautiful peaceful location. gorgeous swimming pool and easy walk into Cala Galdana and the beach which was stunning. great walks nearby in the gorge and along the Way of the horses. easy free parking along the road. great restaurants nearby.. loved the eco friendly welcome pack.

It was a great location and nicely equipped. Loved it.

Great location, fully equipped kitchen, great quality of bed and sheets to sleep in. Every eqipment you might need in an apartment on the beach, they got you covered.

Internet connection was not great at our apartment. If you wanted to do remote work, that was a bit difficult.

Nice apartment in a quiet location

The apartment was lovely, clean, everything you should need for your holidays, extra bonus, the sun umbrella, it was very useful. Shower was very good. Lovely little balcony with nice views. Lovely pool. It’s very quiet but still 10 min walk to the beach and bars and restaurants. Wifi works well. We had a bit of an ant problem( very common in menorca) but Antonia sorted out very quickly, she is amazing, happy to help with anything.

It’s very welcome for families, and there was a lot when we stay so the pool was a bit too noise with all the kids jumping and splashing around, so we didn’t really get a relaxing time in the balcony or in the pool. There is no one around to check so quiet times sometimes are not respected and parents don’t check their kids. The supermarket is not very close and thinking that you cannot drink water from the tap carrying shopping in the heat was a bit hard and there are lot of steps to get to the top apartment, so think about that when you pack haha. The beds are not bad but the pillow are very big and thick so i woke up with a bit of neck pain, having the choice of two pillows will be great. Apart from that we have a very good stay

Easy arrival. The host comunicated with us via WhatsApp.

The host kept us waiting for a moment and some of the equipment wasn't working the best. Apart from that all was ok.

Superb

This place was simply amazing. I had a room on the upper floor of the upper building within the complex and the view was really nice. The apartment had everything I needed and was within a walking distance from Cala Galdana beach. It was also in the perfect place for hikes to other nearby beaches like Cala Macarella, Cala Mitjana or Cala Trebaluger. The communication about my stay was on WhatsApp and it was really quick and helpful. I will surely stay here again if I ever return to Menorca.

It was really difficult for me to transport my luggage to my apartment. There are so many stairs and trying to climb them up with luggage that had 23 kilos was a task for more than 15 minutes. And the same applies to climbing down.

Cheap and cheerful apartment near a stunning beach

Somewhere to sleep in a place where you will have no desire to spend in a room! An absolutely stunning naturally beautiful area. Beaches and restaurants a short walk away but also good basic amenities in the apartment for you to use. Staff on WhatsApp were immediately helpful with everything needed.

The water reservoir across the road generated some smells and it was a bit hot but no complaints really for the price. We really enjoyed our time.

Very nice Apartment luckily a bit off the track

Nice and convenient apartment, absolutely more than sufficient for a nice exploration base. Very good communication with the owner. Nearby coast and playa, nice swimming pool to chill out at the end of a beach day. Very recommendable!

Nicely located and nice swimming pool. The stuff was very kind.

The apartment was very very small and noisy, because the others hosts stayed till late on the terraces chatting pretty laud. Internet connection was not working

Disappointing

The location is good.

There isn’t air conditioning (although this had been mentioned in the booking, this was something that I REALLY regretted about) and the WiFi connection is poor.
