location, some staffs were nice, but not all, shared kitchen
Did pay more to get a double room for 2 nights. Somehow, 23rd, 24th two nights there was someone talked for more than 2 hours(About 8pm~10pm), I did hear clear from my window area , this was totally unacceptable. Day time hiking was tired, but couldn't have a good rest.

Located very near the town centre, you can walk to most of the museums and walk up the mountain from the hostel. It is also possible to walk from the airport, took me about 1 hour. Place is also clean, with two kitchens available for use.
Could have a dining table at the common area on the ground level, as it was very difficult to eat without a table.

Good vibes and atmosphere, the dog Burger makes it very homely, the staff is helpful and friendly

Owner shares amazing stories about travel/Norway, cleaned washrooms, there is a bookshelf where you can get Tromso travel guide as well, met amazing solo travellers, staff was young and vibrant. The atmosphere is cozy and and a dog always wanting to pet you.
Washroom in the morning isn’t available easily.

All the lovely volunteers, the area, the kitchen with memories.
Well it's a cheapest hostel in the city.
10.0 / 10.0
The room I reserved (all girls dormitory) was absolutely amazing and super big. Only the stairs were hard to go up in (so small), but other than that absolutely amazing. The location is pretty good too, about 5 minutes walking from the main street, so very convenient. It's split into two buildings, each with its own kitchen, so it never felt too crowded. It was in general very comfortable!
Also, I love when in a hostel kitchen they have a "free stuff" section and oil, salt, etc. to cook with (since you generally don't buy that kind of thing when travelling!). This hostel had that and even had bins to put your stuff into so it'd be separate from the others' while you stayed there. Loved it!
The bathrooms in the second building were super super small, that even the staff told me we could go shower in the other building if we wanted. Other than that, nothing to complain about really :)

Nothing specifically good to point out about the hostel. The location was very close to the main pedestrian street, so quite convenient.
At night there were people talking right behind my door, which ruined my sleep. But I guess it is normal for a hostel.

Toilets were super clean, there are 2 fully equipped kitchens in the blue building, it is very warm inside and there is a jacuzzi. It is very easy to do the check-in even after hours and the staff is simply amazing and very international. They also provide free towels, which is a big plus.
The common areas are quite small but the hostel itself is not so big, but everything else is quite expected from such a place.

It was very cozy and welcoming, always people hanging out in the common area that you could talk to or even make plans with! Most guests were volunteers but they made us feel comfortable and like home.
It’s an older house so it stays pretty cold in the winter time but there are smaller heaters around the house.
2.0 / 10.0
The house is located central to the city. The guests are friendly.
The house was poorly built and in a way to host as many beds as possible. It was not possible for me to understand who was working there since the “staff” was volunteers. No power plugs or places to leave your personal belongings (e.g. phones) close to the upper beds. The bathroom was very moldy (although someone quickly took actions when I reported it). The overall state of the property was awful, with tiny bathrooms that could barely allow you to stand up (and I am fit). I honestly can’t believe that the house is legally allowed to host guests. This was one of the worst hostels I have ever been, and I paid 80€/night for it.
1.0 / 10.0
Location only
This hostel is being run by part time volunteers who are a clique of friends basically using the hostel as their own home whilst taking jobs else where. ... If your face fits you may enjoy their company as this is the only reason this hostel is getting good reviews .
Other wise look forward to filthy bathrooms and kitchens, stale, smelly bed linen and over flowing bins. To date I have never had to complain to booking.com but as this is the biggest rip off hostel I have ever stayed I intend to make official complaints as this place is unfit for purpose .
Unfortunately people are rating this hostel on their personal experience and not on the actual facts that this hostel is filthy and not fit for purpose

I really liked the vibe of this hostel! Amazing people around and cute dog. Nice spacious rooms with good heating for the cold day. The common room was nice and the two kitchens as well. It had everything I needed.
Showers were kind of small, but this was not a problem since the water was nice and warm

friendly and nice staff, location, wi-fi, kitchen and the bathroom on the first floor. The ability to pay online and by card
bed and lines, very old, bathroom and toilet in grey house so small.

Location was great, super short walk to the central area. Close to museums and cafes. The bus stop to and from the airport is also a minute away. The rooms were big enough that crowding wasn’t an issue and the staff were amazing!

location! and a few different hang out areas made
nothing worth mentioning!
5.0 / 10.0
Location was excellent! Dogs were allowed. Bunk bed style would have been perfect with better mattresses:)
The mattresses felt like there was nothing left in them, you could not sleep on the side as your hip bones slept on a rock-feeling. Toilets were a bit small and cleanness of them poor.

The staff was amazing, welcoming felt like an adventure, and full of dream friends collective. It's cozy, next to city center, the hostel is affordable for a longer stay and more adventure! I was very glad there where beds ready with sheets and towels for free! I recommend this place.
could be more organised in kitchen area and may things are broken that could be fixed.
