Staff were very friendly, we were at a wedding close by so the location suited us
A lot of dead flies in the apartment - on the table, the couch and this was off putting
A lot of cobwebs and spiders also in apartment, and musty smell
Some rooms requiring a little refreshing

The bathroom was rather basic, room was a little cramped.Breakfast was disappointing.

Nothing to like there.
The room too small for 3 people, uncomfortable. Feel terrible after night stay, the pillows seems from 1918.
Poor breakfast. .
No phone reception in the room, no wifi, no TV chanals.
We got trapped there in rainy weather.
This place is overpriced and overadvertised.

The location is great, close to walking trails. The stuff was very very friendly and welcoming. The estate is very quite, rooms were very warm and the shower properly hot. There are lovely dogs and horses around that you can observe. The area is lovely.
The room we stayed in and the bathroom were worn and shabby, there were dead insects in the wardrobe. It did not affect the stay negatively, however, the place has tremendous potential and it would have been nice to have a fresher refurbished room.
As for value for money, we used a discount from Booking to reserve the place, the full price would not have been a good value for money in my opinion.

Very good
Arriving at night there was a sign directing us to Reception but when you drove into the courtyard and parked it was very difficult to see where the reception actually was. It turned out that it was through a dark archway with the gates closed that you had to go through then you could see the reception area. The small sign for it is on the side of the wall in the archway. I would put a bigger sign on the front of the archway wall so people can see it at night. We had gone back out to the main house to ring the bell and the lady who answered told us where to go. Also when we got to the appartment there was a problem with the heating in the room and it was -3 outside! The staff came to rectify the problem immediately.

Everything, it was clean, quiet, comfortable, breakfast was amazing and the staff and animals were very freindly and helpful. Can't wait for an excuse to go back and my daughter even got a horse riding lesson which she really enjoyed.
That we only had booked in for 1 night

The staff were very friendly. Surrounding countryside is pretty. Nice to be around horses (though we didn’t do horseriding). A very, very comfortable bed.
There was nothing I disliked; the eclectically decorated room is carved out of an old building and is fairly basic. But it was so quiet and comfortable. I have never slept as well in a guesthouse (and I have spent hundreds of nights in guesthouse/hotel rooms over my lifetime.)

This is a nice little retreat for everyone seeking some tranquillity and is planning to explore the surrounding nature and perhaps looking for some horse riding.
As stated, I travelled for work and had very little opportunity for all this but from all I have seen I definitely would choose to return for some holidays.
Staff and owner are extremely friendly and helpful wherever they can. The breakfasts I had got even the pancake and bacon with maple syrup thrown in (tho under protest, but hey 😃😄). Check in and check out was very unproblematic and owner had contacted me prior for my arrival time with arrangements in place should I be delayed. Very much appreciated when you have only a vague idea of your itinerary.
I struggle to find things that would need to be improved, as most things are of personal preference. What one does like is the next ones thorn. Perhaps a little advise for those that are desperate for WIFI and/or their mobile signal. There isn't much of either though I have been given to understand that the main house would have had WIFI- but even though I travelled for work I actually enjoyed not being connected for once!! A blessing in disguise
