Liked the quiet location and quietness at night. Breakfast good (porridge excellent)
There were problems with TV in Room - no signal could be located with the result no RTE or BBC programmes could be watched. Slightly disappointed that they no longer have a Restaurant that supplies Lunches etc, Just a sign of the times. However the Breakfast Room was lovely!

Location - proximity to Royal Canal.
We were accommodated in the two rooms; one had a toilet barely in use from the beginning - no willingness to fix the broken toilet on the host side. Really disappointed with this attitude!!!
Breakfast was not any greater; mean Irish breakfast or omelette with sausage??
No sitting room as it is usually in B&B, I can only guess that another family with children was there accommodated instead! This sitting room was wall to wall to Dining, so it was very disturbing when eating breakfast the other family ( 8/ 9 people) from that 'sitting room' kept coming in and out through the dining room. Felt more like eating on the motorway!
Unfortunately, based on our two nights there, we can't recommend that place at all:-(

Really lovely owner who made us feel welcome.
Great breakfast.

Location is very convenient.
Bed was comfortable.
Several breakfast options.
Plenty of coffee/tea in the room to make a cuppa.
After we arrived, it took a while before we found someone who could let us in the room.
The cafe/restaurant is closed, it gives a bit of a bare impression. It might be an idea to update the information.
Bathroom and toilet in need of some repair work.

We liked the tea making facilities in the bedroom. The female staff member was lovely
We loved the idea of having a bath. Shame the water was freezing, the bath was also leaking from the tap.
Our bedroom was located at front of house and it was very noisy and near smoking area
The room needed a clean on the floor and ceiling with dust and cobewebs.
There was a covid mask stuck in the radiator, possible fire hazard.
The male staff member was frequently loitering in smoking area playing music. No separate area for staff/public

Spacious room, comfortable bed, large bathroom, breakfast was delicious. Our lady was so attentive. Affordability, value for money.
The signage outside as far as I remember 😉 otherwise can't fault this lovely typical Irish homely guesthouse!
