The cottage was absolutely lovely, spacious but very homely and furnished beautifully. Vicky and John were fantastic hosts and we would love to visit again.
nothing!….although I had to be careful going up and down the spiral staircase with my hands full!

A stunningly decorated Cottage and garden, with years of stories and love poured into it. Perfect for group entertainment, you could spend all weekend exploring the house and aurroundings. Dog friendly, with a very warming fire place for relaxing after walkies.

I loved Tyas Cottage, was so peaceful. The cottage was amazing - I would love to live there! Very clean, everything was there we needed. There was even yorkshire tea provided!
Nothing - it was all great!

The cottage has been beautifully renovated and the gardens are amazing, while the hamlet itself is in a glorious setting. Great country walks and lovely pubs in lively Slaithwaite.

Nice and quiet, also clean airy and roomy cottage with comfortable beds.
It is a difficult place to access, my car slid a few times and nearly hit the boundary.
Although I was given a check out time, I felt I was forcefully removed once the time was up.

The facilities were outstanding. The property was beautiful and the gardens exceptional.
The access was a little tight and steep.

Hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, even though we were only there for 2 nights.
No complaints at all, perfect stay. A note that the drive is quite tight for a van but this is only due to the remote location. Easily accessible for cars.

Gorgeous cottage in peaceful location. Very comfortable - furnished beautifully. The gardens are stunning. The owners are very friendly and have a vast knowledge of the history of the area, which we found really interesting. Good pub within walking distance. Slaithwaite is a short drive away and has some lovely shops and cafes. Lots of scenic walks round the local area.

Very quiet location. Comfy beds, three bathrooms, plenty of public spaces, access to garden. Access on foot up to the Rose and Crown pub - about a 10minute walk up a steep path.
The location is a little off the beaten path with a steep track down to the house. Fine to access, but parking is a little tight.

We just loved our short break in Tyas Cottage - so much that we’ve just booked our return. It is by far the best holiday home we have ever stayed in - has everything you need and more. We wanted a break from the city, somewhere for the kids to run and walks from the door. We got all that and more! The garden is simply magical - Vicky and John have designed it with care and artistry. They are lovely hosts and we can’t wait to go back in the summer!

The location was perfect. Tucked away down an old pack horse route.
The whole place was stunning.
Just the spot for relaxing and taking in the beautiful country-side.
You would never know it was here.
The interior of every room was very impressive with some interesting art and furniture.
We will definitely be back in the summer to see more of the wonderful gardens.
Nothing.

This a beyond luxurious cottage. Period. I cannot imagine any Marriot providing a Georgian 4 poster bed and other antiquities for the enjoyment of their guests. Most furniture (if not all) is solid wood and so exquisite and well-arranged that it feels like being a Royal. It is so beautiful and comfortable at the same time that I would happily have stayed at home if it wasn't for the gardens... spacious, diverse and amazing, with such a gracious mix of wilderness and carefully landscaped areas that my daughters preferred to explore and play in the gardens than visiting the beautiful surroundings. Colours might change with the season but the gardens are true to the pictures. As good as the cottage were Vicky and John, who made us feel like at home. I do not feel we will ever find a more fabulous cottage
