Superb

The hotel owners were so kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond when a member of our party had altitude sickness - offering her tea and space to lay down, even after our official check out time. Paola helped to coordinate a tour for us. Highly recommend staying here.

A perfectly located, homey hotel, tucked in a quiet corner, but near great restaurants

Staying at this hotel feels like being welcomed home by your family. Great value for money, spacious room with a beautiful view to Cotopaxi and excellent location, just around the corner from the main road with several restaurants nearby, are among its excellent features, but the breakfast stands out for the kindness and care of the lady who will set the buffet and prepare eggs a la carte for you and who will remind you of your grandmother almost inevitably. The hotel manager was just as kind and helpful. I wish we had stayed longer.

The remote control did not work in our room, but we did not even bothered to ask for a new remote because we were just enjoying the view to Cotopaxi and resting. Had we done so, I am sure that the manager would have solved the problem. We just did not want to bother her because she was so kind to us.

we got an upgrade to the suite, which was nice. Staff is amazing and really helpful. The buffet style breakfast is nice. A lot of choice and freshly made eggs of choice.

The water was not consistently warm, so we couldn’t really use the bathtub…

Very nice boutique hotel with even nicer hostess!

The hotel was very nice and Paola was even nicer. she made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was the best we had in all of the 8 places we stayed in Ecuador. The double jacuzzi in our room was super for a soak after our tour. Our tour to Quilotoa was arranged perfectly and our guide was exceptional. We were given a small gift on checkout. Just all the little things were very nice!

There was an over $850 hold placed on our credit card which we were not told about.

Exceptional

A great hotel. The rooms are very modern and large, our room even had a jacuzzi. The shower has enough water pressure and hot water. The beds are comfortable and long enough. The staff is very nice and helpful and speaks perfect English. Everything very clean. The breakfast is very fine, with eggs, bread, fruit, flakes and yoghurt.

Modern hacienda close to Cotopaxi providing cosy stay.

Modern hacienda style building with 20 rooms and secure parking. We spent 1 night in a 40 sqm room with huge whirlpool and fantastic Mountain View. Owner family operated, wonderful senora provided a warm & cosy atmosphere. Breakfast in buffet style far above standard.

Finding the entrance not so easy, Google underperformed here.

Casa Sakiwa and Paola are the best!

We loved our stay at Casa Sakiwa! Paola was the best host and went above and beyond our expectations. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. We also enjoyed a great meal at the restaurant. Definitely would go back.

The hotel is amazing, room spacious and really clean, bathroom really modern and with hot tub. Breakfast and dinner delicious and the host was so kind and helpful, she find us a guide for cayambe. Private parking just at the hotel. Overall excellent place, really to be recommended.

Alles perfekt

big room, quite, comfortable, very good breakfast with a good selection, great location with big playgrounds next to it for kids, cattle in the room to make some tea in the evenings, hot water and especially the host was great. Paola is the best. She is speaking English and is a great help to organise trips. Overall we really enjoyed staying there.

A great night's sleep at a good price

I made a mistake and booked a room for one person instead of two. Paola was extremely helpful and arranged for an extra bed to be put in the room. Very comfortable and quiet, we had a great night's sleep.

Very warm welcome and friendly family running the hotel. Really helpful, kind and hospitable. The location in Machachi is ideal if you’re planning to visit Cotopaxi. Breakfast was not really impressive but varied in choice.

Our room was really small, leaving little space for luggage. We also didn’t really found the bed comfortable.

Amazing Relaxing Stay Near Cotopaxi

AMAZING hospitality from Paola and her mom. Everything was very comfortable and they even gave me a space heater to use in my room at night. Don't miss the amazing Jacuzzi experience!! See you again Paola and Tina!!

Staff is amazing. Provided lots of helpful information and can help book tours. Super responsive via whatsapp, and in English if needed. Daughter helped me navigate the logistics of doing the Cerro Ruminahui hike - (you need a hiking waiver form and a helmet) which I couldn't have done on my own with my spanish skills. Super appreciated! Room is clean, spacious, with lots of useful furniture (even a small fridge!). Room service/food available, mostly international food. Very responsive via whatsapp. Gated parking was a bonus.

Wifi isn't great(due to geography).

Your best choice if you want to stay in Machachi town

The breakfast was really delicious and lovely! The owner was super nice and helpful with our Cotopaxi tour. We definitely felt welcomed. Room was clean and we got a heater for the night, because it got a bit cold.

The WIFI was not really working in our room. It was constantly on and off. At the reception it worked... This was the biggest dislike unfortunately. Shower was cold at first, but got immediately fixed by the owner after we told her.

Wonderful place , amazing staff!!!

Terrifico! Amazing space, wonderful staff , grest breakfast. Perfectly clean, great hot shower and placr to dry clothes after a long day trekking. Staff was so accomodating and friendly. Best of Machachi!!!
