The suites are amazing and the grounds are very well kept

The staff were phenomenal from the minute we arrived until our departure both very friendly and also professional. The receptionist even suggested we could settle our bill from our room as it was raining and we might get wet walking across to reception. We didnt - large umbrellas were provided!

The taster menu was lovely. Comfortable sleepover and friendly staff

food was superb, staff are outstanding Nothing was too much trouble.
There was nothing we did not like!

Breakfast was excellent and the bed was very comfortable in the room. Lovely bathroom with walk-in shower and plenty of storage space. Tv was excellent and we could get Netflix. All the staff were brilliant
Some miscommunication between staff about arrangements but all was sorted immediately when we spoke to reception.

Towel rake in room not working

The breakfast was marvellous. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing I didn’t like

There wasn't anything not to like really, so everything.

Beautiful setting, very attentive, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and unpretentious. Bedroom and bathroom were beautiful with the best shower I've ever been in.
It was how i expected in terms of food and drink. It was our first experience of fine dining and so it is hard to find anything we didn't like. However i did find it mildly annoying to be charged £10 for two bottles of water with our meal, especially as we were having the wine flight.

Staff great, rooms clean and comfortable.
Unfortunate that weather was still warm and rooms are not sure conditioned.
Dyson cooler a nice touch, but sadly they are not great and nowhere near air conditioning levels.
Restaurant is of course fabulous. One of the best tasting and wine pairing menus we’ve experienced.
Nothing to comment on

Breakfast was amazing. Full cooked English. Excellent portion size. Table service.
Not much....everything about our stay was pretty much perfect. thank you.

Nice rooms. All members of staff we encountered were exceptionally nice and efficient. Chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen’s taster menu was the highlight of our stay. Extraordinarily good flavours dance on the taste buds. A symphony of perfect combinations. Waxing lyrical is the only way I can describe this food!
We will be back.
There was nothing we didn’t like.

beautiful setting and building. Clean, tidy, comfortable and welcoming.

Excellent food and perfect location. Very comfortable rooms, well stocked up.
Service charge

The breakfast was a little underwhelming given the Michelin star, though it was adequate
When travelling there are little touches we appreciate, such as a bottle of wine included in the room rather than as a separate charge, chocolates or chocolate covered strawberries when booking a suite. Though the rooms were beautiful there were no complimentary items to make the stay feel special
4.7
the lounge/bar area. the staff in the bar. in particular Georgi and Kieran. the real fire which was closely attended .reception staff were great.
the room was too far away from reception no lift lots of stairs were 76 and 81 so it was exhausting getting to room
the breakfast was disappointing. was given carton orange juice when freshly squeezed was on menu. coffee was awful. the latte ordered later was perfect. the porridge was lumpy and the warm “frothy” milk was just warm milk. the service at breakfast was inattentive. not what one expects from a place of reputed culinary excellence.
the cheese soufflé was excellent
we expected free breakfast as level 3 genius level. we were charged £50 for breakfast

Spacious room, dyson fan, exceptional food quality
Nothing!

all good

Idillic location in the heart of the Ribble Valley Countryside. Contemporary, luxurious styling throughout the hotel, bars, restaurant and rooms.
Then of course the food.
The Super talented, multi award winning, culinary genius that is Lisa Goodwin-Allen and Her team.
Small complaint was that our room was a bit warm. That’s because it was on the very top floor and the heat outside radiated down through the roof.
4.7
One member of staff made us feel at home and was the highlight of the entire experience really
Pretty much everything rooms weren’t as good as we expected and the menu only had 3 courses to choose from and no vegetarian option overall a poor experience really would avoid this place for the money entirely , supppsed to be gardens you can walk around , but wasn’t anything really looked like overgrown plants to be honest Was recommended this place through family , but definitely wouldn’t go again
4.7
It is a quality hotel with great staff and great food
