It’s near some nice places to eat and the Darwin centre. Santa Cruz is expensive and this was affordable. The area was quiet.
It’s not very clean and the rooms smell of damp.
3.0
No breakfast, Okay location
Mosquitoes in the room, shower door broken, shower faucet leaked all night despite several attempts to fix it. Worst pillows I have ever encountered.
7.0
Comfortable rooms.. good shower.. nice and big common kitchen.
Super loud.. I wouldn't stay here if you're a light sleeper.. you can hear the common room from every angle of the hostel and also the staff start yelling really early in the morning. there's not much respect for quiet at this place. I did not get much sleep here!

Not the best location and loud ac, otherwise good hostel

had an Aircon, ok bed, lovely Island coffee shop nearby (2 min walk)
bedding (nothing a bit warmer - only the thinnest bedsheet), if the other room turned on their lights, my room would lid up too as at the top had a glass connecting both rooms, my window faced the inner part (where the pool is), so it was loud, had too much light (curtains were bad too, with gaps between them - when your room is facing a pool, that’s not ok), pillows were THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE! I woke up with neck pain (they were so thin that almost made them useless).
I stayed in another Hostal in Galapagos, more central, same price, million times better!

We stayed here for one night before our flight from Baltra. Overall, very quiet, spacious and clean. Rooms were very cool in temperature too which was a welcome change. The property also has a pool but we didn't get time to use it.
Our bathroom door kept locking itself over, which was a bit annoying. Staff weren't very present after check in.

The hostel is one of the cheapest in Santa Cruz with good location near the main street. Rooms were cleaned every day and they kept the kitchen clean since some guests were messy. Kitchen was also well equipped and cooking was easy for multiple guests at the same time. It was really convinient to have drinking water in the kitchen!
We stayed here two times. The first room was on the upper level and we had nothing to complain about, it was good value for the money. But the second time we had a room from the lower level and it was really humid there, also there were some moisture problem on the walls and even on my pillow beneath the pillowcase. Sheets and towels were not in good shape.

Pretty good walkable location. Clean and room had AC. Shower had hot water. Kitchen was available to use. Overall OK for a short stay.
Lights kept going off every few minutes in the hallway at night and the curtains didn’t block out the light. WiFi didn’t work.

Had a clean spacious room, also the place is within walking distance from the centre. I believe the shower was fine as well and the bed quite comfy.
Well my only real complaint is the wifi which was just not working properly. Only next to the pool it would work sometimes and then only after a lot of effort trying to connect. Other guests didn't manage to connect at all ..Also the reception was only open during the day until 8PM which was a bit strange, but not a big issue.

The receptionist is the most hospitable, helpful and amicable person and made my stay really convenient and enjoyable! I received a lot of help and recommendations even before my stay, and she even went out of her way helping me with a small mistake I made with renting the gear. Thank you so much!
I definitely recommend El Pinzón, it has a great location and the staff is exceptionally helpful and it is very clean and the rooms and beds are comfortable.

it was at the end of the strip and there was laundry next door that was about it. cash only no cards can be used.
basic room. mould there so not great and felt damp in the room. shower leaked into the rear of the bathroom. people leave early and no consideration for others. so my room was ground floor so heard it all. fun times !!!

Clean spacious rooms. I was here when I was sick and I slept the whole day. Down side was my bed was next to the shared bathroom
Not much of an atmosphere and far from the hub of the island

Hassle free movement.
Rooms are very small…No storage, hangers in the room.

It was loud all night long. Every hour there was a pump it something else of the pool, which was activated for a few minutes. If someone comes home, you hear the door. Moreover there is no more breakfast and no more purified water. And the sheets are very thin, not much more than nothing.

Nice hostel with large kitchen. Private room was good. Free filtered water.
wifi was pretty much non existent

Great place to stay for a night in Santa Cruz. Cheap privates and gives you what you need!

good location
very noisy, absolutely no sound proofing internally, our room had no external windows only windows to a corridor where the light went on and off all night. could hear neighbours in the toilet (yes everything). air con didn’t work and the room was stuffy ( for reasons above).
