Room service was very prompt. Location was very scenic. The gym was serviceable with decent amount of equipment.Breakfast had many options.
We traveled during the sudden flash floods in Himachal Pradesh in early July. Without the floods, we would have given the retreat a perfect score. However, the resort's response to the disaster revealed significant shortcomings.
Firstly, the hotel reception was shockingly clueless about the situation outside the hotel due to phone line issues caused by the flooding. Their lack of knowledge was frustrating, especially when we wanted to book a return taxi to Chandigarh after the weather cleared up. They could have sent someone to Manali or used their own cars to inquire about taxi services, but instead, they just smiled without offering any assistance. There might be a foreign invasion happening just 1 km away from the resort and these guys would still be clueless about it if the tower went down. This lack of responsibility towards guests and the level of cluelessness should be addressed by the retreat owner.
Fortunately, we met another family at the resort who helped us contact a taxi through their driver, who went to Manali on our behalf, and avoid being stranded beyond our check-out date. This reliance on others for assistance was not ideal.
The other issue was the frequent power cuts. Despite running generators, the hotel should have prepared better for the impending storm and stocked up on extra diesel. We expected basic conveniences, such as having the lights on, especially considering the high cost of the hotel.
Overall, the retreat's response to the floods and the lack of preparedness for such situations were disappointing.

Lovely & Spacious Rooms, Breakfast had a great spread, Views from the Room was breathtaking!
Access to hotel via the Hanging bridge wasnt the best - should have advised that there is an alternate route using the new bridge

Location is awesome, with snow-capped mountain views right in front. Away from the main city but close enough.
Staff is very polite and helpful.
Food was ok, some items were quite good. A bit repetitive breakfast as we stayed for 4 days.
Enough entertainment for evenings with games and books.
A well maintained, clean and comfy place for staying with family.
Only minor points:
Occasional live local music will further improve the ambience
Balcony chairs, tables need to be cleaned.
Was charged a Rs30 for Gala Dinner. Not sure what that was for.

The whole resort is beautiful. Our room was so lovely and felt like we were in a private cabin. The area is lovely and quiet with beautiful views of the mountains. It was especially nice to see the view from the breakfast room. All the staff were friendly and professional.
The suspension bridge to access the area was sometimes congested. Thankfully this will be resolved by a new bridge that was close to completion! Once that is done the location will be much more easily accessed.

Almost everything was perfect. The rooms were big and super clean. The view was superb. The whole property was very well maintained. The food was awesome. I loved every staff of the hotel and was so happy with their hospitality.
May be a little bit of lower price would be better.

the staff was excellent and the room was cozy too
the owner lacked basic etiquette towards their guests - late party, no prior notice, loud music (at a retreat) , they shut the bar to the other guests as “they were busy with the party” - music went on till 12am and at 9am I was woken up with the sound of drilling and workers looking in through my window!! zero coordination on what would be a decent time to disturb the guests .. instead I was made to sleep late due to their music and woken up in a terrible manner!! I liked this place which is why I came back to stay , but I’ll definitely be looking at other options now. good property, but not worth the price if this is the case usually

Excellent location, spacious rooms and great food. Food is reasonably priced as well.
Staff in general is extremely courteous and polite.
Had stayed for 3 days (2 different bookings), overall experience was pleasant barring one small goofup during checkout.
Convenient location as well, if planning to travel further away from Manali towards Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel.
The tariff is similar to a 4/5 star property, but sadly the accountability of some of the staff isn’t. Had an unexpected negative experience, sharing the same below:
We were supposed to leave early in the morning at 6 am from Manali for Delhi. Had informed both the reception as well as the on duty restaurant staff in advance at-least 2-3 times during the stay to have some morning breakfast packed for us, and had settled the entire payment in the previous night (7th March) itself.
However, we were shocked to find on 8th Morning that the same wasn’t prepared, not exactly sure where the communication gap was. There was nobody apart from the Guard to whom we could talk, although he did connect us over phone to the chef, who told us that they had somehow forgotten to prepare the same.
Please look into the same and ensure a goof up like this isn’t repeated again, doesn’t look good on a property charging tariff similar to yours.

property ambience, view from the resort, the room, service from the staff. they were warm and welcoming very comforting
the way to reach the retreat from the main road.. Very narrow road through the local village. bigger vehicles found hard to pass through. The Food.. The chef needs to learn to season the food perfectly.. in this cold weather the food wasn’t spicy at all.. breakfast was good. As the retreat is little away from the town area, all you depend is on hotel food for dinner if you are early to the place. less portion size and some of the items from the menu are not well prepared or seasoned.
Onion Pakoda - pls improve
garlic bread- more portion size please
please include more main course varieties other than potato n Gobi.

The property was stunning. Rooms were super cozy with great views. The staff was extremely helpful and the food was also quite decent for a Hillstation retreat. I used it as a base to do multiple treks around the area + did day trips to areas like Kasol & Lahaul. I was very happy with my stay at Urvashis and will definitely be back.
It’s not like I didn’t like anything but here are some points for improvement:
1) I would improve the WiFi system - it keeps logging off and sometimes starts glitching.
2) I would definitely keep something in the mini-bar, considering their services shut quite early which is around 10pm.
Besides this I loved my experience at Urvashis!

This resort in will definitely exceeds your expectations. It's hidden gem of Manali. The staff at Restaurant have won our heart. On request they were ready to go extra mile to give us something more out of Menu. The location, the view, the water stream going through the resort , the royal ness of the resort is un matched. Further the history attached to the resorts takes you back to the legendary Brigadier John Parashuram Dalvi. The property was originally owned by his son.

Location is Fabulous. Close view of Snow clad mountains. Warm & welcoming staff. Away from the maddening crowd of Manali town. Close proximity to Rohtang & Solang Valley. Excellent facilities.
Would suggest to add some activities for children. A swimming pool with hot water can be a great addition to add the value of the property.

Each and every thing on the property is thoughtful and done to give maximum comfort to the guests. Every little detail has been taken care off. From choice of pillow to finding cotton and ear buds in the room, from water bottle to the card kept below the glasses and wifi login password each thing is done in a very thoughtful way. It's the only property in Manali which I would prefer to stay in my future visits. I could have just stayed at the property and spend my entire trip there.
We have given the feedback to Ms. Urvashi Singh and she had already started to make changes during our stay

- Hotel is run by a young entrepreneur, and is visible from choices and selections
- The facilities at the hotel were really good (including SPA, Gym and Lounge) and we were very well hosted by the staff
- Rooms were comfortable and spacious
- Food was very good, especially bakery items
- Retreat/hotel is environment conscious with attention to minimal wastage (especially with toiletries etc)
- Warm water was always available
- Some of the items on the menu were rather eclectic but quite tasty
- Portion size of the food on offer was rather too much. Some of the items we ordered were too much even for 3 people and a lot of it did go to waste (rather ironic as the retreat is quite environment conscious)
- Approach to the hotel was a bit of a challenge. While it is fairly close to the city centre (read Mall Road) the drive is a concern since roads are narrow and driving in a SUV could be a difficulty
- Limited space in property to go for walks and the road outside has lots of other properties and houses making it not suitable for long peaceful walks

We, a family of 4, stayed here for 3 nights in May 2022. We booked one premium room and one Rohtang view suite. This property is beautiful. It is set away from the main city in an area that has only resorts and apple orchards and barely any traffic. It was really quiet and serene and restful. The rooms are huge and spacious and warm. The property is landscaped beautifully with multiple water features. There are tables, hammocks, and deck chairs strewn around the lawns. Every detail screams "Relax!". There is a cozy game room/bar area with books that may be borrowed for a quiet read anywhere in the property. The rooms themselves have beautiful views of snow-capped mountains.
The staff is warm, ever-smiling, and helpful and service is prompt. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with lots of options. The dining options are eclectic but broad enough to please everyone. You can also pre-order a local meal at the restaurant.
There are lovely walks around the resort. We took a walk through the village nearby, past a waterfall and met a lot of smiling and curious locals. We also took another walk to a place called "Picnic spot" which meanders through lots of apple orchards. It was extremely peaceful and quiet and rejuvenating.
This hotel is perfect for relaxation and quiet family time!
Two minuses.
One - while the premium room had wood and floral curtains that were light and pleasing, the suite had lots of wooden panelling and floral curtains that were absolutely overpowering in combination. I know it is a heritage resort and most of the decor is beautiful and eye-catching. However, the suite decor was really overpowering.
Two - The staircase in the suite which leads up to the loft is very steep. It is not appropriate for small children or older visitors. The loft itself is cozy and has a wonderful view but the access is an issue for some people.

Massage at the spa, billiards and ping pong, bar with attached lounge for chilling over some wine. Beds are super comfortable and staff is super helpful.

Super luxury property - right in the lap of nature - has the correct balance between the ethnic chic and modern!
10.0 / 10.0
This property is branded as Welcome Heritage however it's fairly new (6 -7 years old) and tastefully done. You get a heritage experience (ambience lot of wood used) however this is complimented with all modern amenities. Bathroom are large with personal huge geysers, dual heaters are provided in room to ensure winters are taken care off. Property does have a restaurant serving multi cuisine/room service, a bar which resemble more of sports bar with access to games like chess, carrom, pool, TT etc. Property owner Her Highness - Urvashi Singh is also remarkable, she takes personal interest to ensure guest staying get a gala experience. It's a nature resort and does have natural ecological pool and brook running across resort which is an experience by itself. There were days when we don't wish to do anything outside the resort. Food is nice, staff is polite and amenities are great. Resort mascot is French Bull Dog and you can see innovative use of mascot in and around property, whether coasters to menu inscription, so if you are pet lover than for sure this resort will delight you further. Duplex rooms are best, if travelling with family as they have "Attic" which is a multipurpose space can be used as sitting/reading space in day and can be used for extra sleeping space at night. Would love to go back to resort whenever we are visiting next Manali.
Bit more food choices in menu and better access to property. Short iron bridge is congested and risky and other way from palchage is too far.
