It was very authentic in a great location, surrounded by lots of bars and restaurants, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved the dining room and all decorations.

Location was good, but very noisy in our room overlooking the main road
Don't be fooled by the quirky photos. The place is very dusty and seems to be going downhill.
Breakfast is served by two guys who sleep on the sofas next to the breakfast room overnight.
It's basically scrambled eggs and french bread for breakfast with chipped crockery.

The location was great, we were able to get our washing done and the team at reception gave us plenty of information on Barranco when we arrived.
The surrounds were a little noisy, car alarms would go off each night

The tourist publicity says Barranco is bohemian. In the 6 years since I last saw it, it has also become tired and gritty. Old buildings are falling apart, some restaurants are ordinary, traffic is worse. Maybe Casa Falleri' is bohemian too, or just eccentric. It's like 10 of Dickens' Old Curiosity Shops jammed in together, and they haven't sold anything for years. Every surface is covered in bric-a-brac. Staff are 'out of the box' too. Very helpful, and also eccentric. The street out front is very noisy but there is glazing to deaden it. The king size bed was very comfortable, the bathroom large and modern, while the room's plaster refit hasn't worked. A unique experience.
A work desk would have been handy. Breakfast was ok but a bit average. Fresh juice, banana,
scrambled eggs, white bread roll with herb, butter and jam, strong coffee. A healthy cereal would improve things a lot.

The place felt very old. It also felt creepy and the employees seem sketchy.

We loved the charm of Casa Falleri Boutique Hotel and the people who run the hotel. And they made arrangements for all of our transportation needs. They were so kind and attentive.

The location was great.
As a solo female, I felt a bit uncomfortable on the property. I didn’t notice any other guests despite being told by the manager how busy they had been. There were 5 or 6 men working around the property at a time and they insisted on keeping the front gate locked by padlock for my entire stay. They seemed to hover quite a bit. I felt unsettled that they knew when I was coming and going and even went as far as barricading the door because I had a strange gut feeling. I have travelled solo around Peru extensively and this was the first time I felt uncomfortable in a hotel/hostel.

This place is so beautiful and historic. It was originally a casona (mansion) that was built by Mr Falleri for his wife. We stayed in room 6. The bed was comfortable and I loved the sound-reducing windows and doors that were placed over the original shutters and doors. This kept the original doors/shutters intact. It’s within walking distance from restaurants, pharmacies, and the Barranco Plaza. We’ll definitely stay here again. The staff was kind and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you, Giancarlo, Reg, George, and the rest of the staff for the unforgettable experience.

Although quirky the place is run down and dusty and musky.

Me and my boyfriend booked this place last minute and what a unique experience! Never stayed anywhere like it! It’s like stepping back in time with a beautiful antique collection to admire. Giancarlo (the manager) and team could not have been more delightful! We only had a day there and Giancarlo planned our whole day for us with a beautiful lunch recommendation - made a brief visit worthwhile!
A wonderful stay if your stopping by in Barranco, Lima and looking for a change of scenery and a whole lot of charm.

good location
the house is old, too full of objects and not necessarily well maintained. the breakfast was very simple and not fresh. it was quite expensive

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We felt more like part of a family than as hotel guests. it is conveniently located to a lot of restaurants (try Mérito!) bars and boutiques. the express bus metropolitano is about 10 minutes walking distance and takes you to the city center.
In the hotel, we felt as if we were staying in a museum. the owner apparently collected lots of things during the pandemic: old discs, paintings, toys, you name it. Lots of things to see.
if you want your space squeaky clean, that place is not for you.

the position was really good, in the heart of Barranco, and the manager Giancarlo was kind
I would start saying that the hotel has plenty of accumulated old dusty stuff just put there with no logic, from old and dirty furnitures to the Twilight books. I appreciate their intent but when you try to make an old style ambience you should be able to keep it clean as first thing. The smell was really bad everywhere, also considering that they used to lock all the windows and doors with padlocks and this is not safe at all, also in case of fire. They said that the hotel was fully booked but we were the only customers in the structure and all the other rooms were totally empty.
Our bed sheets and linen were full of stains, hairs and blood and we had to asked them to replace them immediately, but they didn’t clean our room for a couple of days and we have to message them while we were away. the bathroom bin has been full for days, so were the towels left on the floor.
there is a big fridge next to the bed, a disgusting old piece full of dirt inside and emanating very very bad smell.
What I think is that they take random things on the streets and store it in the hotel. the imagery online doesn’t match with the real ambience at all.
we booked it for 7 days and used it as home base to visit other places close to Lima, so out of 7 nights/breakfasts we only spent 2 nights there, which is fine as it was my decision, but that was a significant saving for them as we didn’t have 5 breakfasts. I would have expected a small bags with something ready to take away for our early mornings flights, but they didn’t do anything about that. about the only two breakfasts we had, everything was really disappointing. tableware was dirty, they didn’t have any tea and the offer was definitely poor. We had a look at the kitchen and everything was really dirty. One day they offered to take us to the bus station and they asked us to pay at the drop off, asking for way more money than what is usually asked by taxis, and this is outrageous!
