Room is so tidy with a lovely garden!! and shower water is hot that's so important traveling in Peru.
We stayed multi days in there when tracking , best living place in Huraz even in Peru so far for us !!

Great value for money! Loved the garden, we took a double room in the last floor up and it was great. Comfy bed, hot water, and clean. And great view.
A bit far from city center around 20 mins walking which is okay

We had a great time at Jo's place! The garden is a lovely oasis of green and flowers amongst Huaraz's busy streets, and Vicky and everyone else are relaxed, kind hosts who were really helpful with our questions, and welcoming each time we returned, dusty and sweaty from days in the mountains

This is one of the best places in Huaraz and I would love to come back everytime.
Everything was perfect, the garden is so beautiful and there are plenty of cosy corners so beautifully decorated. Lovely to chill in those warm days.
I loved the confi beds and most of them are with view to the garden. Very clean and comfortable.
The owners and people working there are so sweet and very helpful.
Thank you so much!!! The are also pet friendly!!! Bless you!!! 🙏😇

Jo’s staff was very friendly and helpful, they gathered some fruit when we couldn’t have breakfast because our early departure to Huayhuash trek, and kept our luggage safe while we returned.

Very nice owners always ready to help and accommodate needs.
Quiet place with a very nice patio to relax.
Kitchen lacks a lot of things, and it's a bit dirty most of the time.
Constant lack of toilet paper in the toilet.

Excellent location, easily walking distance to the main road in town where there is everything you need, but the place itself is on a quiet road. Staff were lovely and helpful, we booked the Laguna 69 tour through them and it was great.
You have to go outside for shared bathrooms, and there weren’t many. Had to ask a few times for toilet paper as it was never in the bathroom.

The shared bathroom is too simple

Marvelous views of the mountains
Some areas were a little blocked by the trees.

Great view of the mountains and knowledgeable staff with regards to knowing where to take the local transportation and other helpful things. Also they have a great book about the mountains that gives you information and shows you the different climbing routes as well as how to get to the various mountains called “ Classic Climbs of the Cordillera Blanca Perú”, by Brad Johnson. They also have a pool table in their lounge T.V. room which also has some good books to read in English and in French including a delightful one about the Simpson’s in French called “ Les Simpsons.”
The T.V. didn’t have a good antenna for the local channels. It may just need adjusting.

Great courtyard and location. Hot showers most of the time and relaxing setting.
Nothing to complain about.
5.8 / 10.0
Good location, nice breakfast, quite a few common areas with tables and chairs.
We had a room with private bathroom, and the smell from the pipes was terrible. The common kitchen was really dirty.

Comfortable beds!
Staff hate their job.
Bathrooms and kitchen not cleaned for the entire 5 day stay
Kitchen small and no bowls or cutlery
No toilet paper in entire hostal
Breakfast was limited depending on the day and if they had been bothered to go to the shops.

The hosts. Wonderful, friendly and nice people. Extended my stay just because of the nice atmosphere.

Friendly staff who left me in at 5 am. Good wifi. Free breakfast with bread, pancakes, eggs, and fruit. Hot showers. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets. A small kitchen for use. Nice garden area to dry clothes. They offer tour for cheap compared to other hostels.
It's a good walk from the center of Huaraz but very doable in under 20 minutes. No refrigerator in the public kitchen.
