Nice rooftop.
Backpackers vibe.
Cheap.
Central.
You can book all tours directly.
Cleaning could be better but it’s ok.
Bar not working (no drinks available) but you can bing your own.
Reception often empty without anyone to talk to.

We looooooved Aldo's - we ended up staying four more nights than we were supposed to, which, from talking to other travellers, happens a lot with this hostel. You just get stuck! The terrace is amazing, a super friendly and open space for anyone who is travelling alone or in groups to meet other people but it's still a chill vibe, definitely not a party place. Everyone is there to hike :)
The room we were in was quite loud, but we asked to change and they accommodated it no problem. We just got unlucky that our first room was right under the terrace.

Amazing kitchen and roof terrace with views, sunshine and good facilities. Good self-make breakfast included. Family who runs it are friendly and accommodating
Rooms a little basic

The service and people are great in this hostel - very kind and helpful. I arrived at 7 am and could directly check into my room which after a 8h bus ride was much appreciated. The host Aldo is very flexible and nice. I needed to cancel one night of my reservation and he was super understanding and flexible!
The walls are very thin so you can hear all the noise from outside and other rooms. If you want a quiet place, this hostel isn’t for you as it’s very social and the terrace can get loud in the evening.

everything was great !! this is the best place I’ve ever been to ! great location, great terrace, amazing vibe at night when all the guests play games and share together ! but most of all, great hosts !! Aldo helped me so much for all the activities (I recommend doing Mateo’s glacier !!!) and all the guides in the hostel made such a pleasant stay that I decided to extend my stay and volunteer in the hostel !
loved everything

Lovely shared spaces, very helpful, friendly and relaxed owner who makes you feel at home. Aldo is involved in the city's whereabouts and all it has to offer for hikers, mountaineers, etc.

There is a wonderful sense of community, lots of spots to gather and meet fellow travelers.
Don't book your trecks/hikes/adventures until you chat with Aldo, he will help you find the right company.
There is a full kitchen to use, and lots of space to hang out. I would recommend this spot to anyone to stay for a day or a month!!

Good location. Aldo (the owner) was very helpful with all of my tours. He also allowed me to leave my bags and use the hotshower after check out. The view from the roofdeck was beautiful.
There was a hit and miss with the hot shower but it was sorted out quickly. So it was all good.
4.1

4.1
the location, the staff, the low price
the room was not clean (bed and bathroom), the noise: it was really hard to sleep, there are always people on the roof late at night screaming and listening to loud music.
4.1
The staff is very accommodating, the breakfast is healthy and all day, the kitchen is clean, the top floor is exclusively for socializing, the WI-FI is fast and reliable

Room was clean. Staff helpful and very friendly. Perfect location. Loved that view from terrace.
Nothing to dislike.

guys in reception were friendly with good tours info
terrible value for money (private room), no soap provided (how low can you go as EVERY other hostal provides it), very noisy street, internal acoustics reverberate do you literally hear everything going on, kitchen staff were terrible and ignorant, breakfast quality was the worst in my 6 week Peru journey to date!
4.1
the staff is amazing!!!
great breakfast
the toilet isn’t always clean

Friendly staff that helps you with all the tours and treks. You can also book the tours with them. The hostel offers nice breakfast and the kitchen area is well-equipped and cleaned regularly. As it’s the only spot to sit down and relax it’s easy to socialise. Also they have a nice view over the town.
Rooms are not clean even after they’ve been cleaned. There are no lockers in the room or no keys to the lockers (but I got a private room when I asked for a key for the lockers). It’s quite loud in the hall because of the street, the music and people in the hostel.

The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff
The check-in process was not smooth. I waited more than twenty minutes outside with no one letting me in. The phone number displayed on booking was not reachable.
My room faced a central road with a lot of traffic and music all day long. Towels had stains

The hotel was fine, nice rooftop bar to overlook the city.
There was a loud party until 5 o'clock in the morning organised for the locals. Around 200 people were on the rooftop bar. Absolutely rude when the whole hotel is packed with hikers that get up at 4 or 5 in the morning. Also, no regard whatsoever of corona rules at all.

The staff was very kind and helpfull. Free pick-up at the bus station. Laundy service. Breakfast with bread, eggs and avocados. Good help preparing for tours. Nice hostel atmosphere.
The lightning in the rooms can be better (no bed lamp, only one white light bulb).

I like the hosts, the common rooms, the price
Kitchen was dirty sometimes, low stream in shower, old facilities

Great location. The lady in charge of the breakfast (I unfortunately don‘t know her name) was amazing. She was helpful and kind.
The owner‘s main focus is making money. I would not recommend booking any tours at the hostel as he keeps a big part of the money.

Really good location! The owner, Aldo, is very helpful and accommodating. I arrived at 5am from Lima and he let me check in super early - totally unexpected and awesome!
4.1
This is a great place if you are looking for a budget room for a night or two before heading out on treks. The hotel is close to just about everything you could need, and the rooftop patio has great views. Aldo is an awesome person! He is very kind and goes out of his way to help you and answer questions.
It is a budget hostel in Huaraz - you get what you pay for. If you are looking for comfort and quiet, it is worth paying more somewhere else. But for a quick place to stay before and after a trek, you can't go wrong here!

Everything was fantastic! Aldo is amazing - he was so helpful with everything we needed during our stay, we cannot thank him enough. The property is right in the town centre which is great, close to the supermarket and local food market. Aldo booked all our tours for us completely hassle free. Thank you so much for such a great stay and for your incredible hospitality!
Nothing!

Rooms are cosy and clean, the shower is super hot! The kitchen is roomy and fully equipped, so you will be able to cook almost whatever you want. There are also many boardgames there and even ping pong outside the kitchen. There is a barbecue zone as well!
The guest house owner will become your friend since your arrival! He always gives you a hand with any issue you have.
The guest house is in the very centre of the city, with supermarkets and markets nearby. The view from my window was spectacular, so I took a great deal of pics!
The best guest house I've ever been to!
I loved absolutely everything!

Aldo is super helpful and knowledgeable about Huaraz. He can help with tours and will tell you what can be done without a guide. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of town- you can’t be any closer to the center than here. Lovely terrace at the top with a really functional kitchen. Hot water in showers and pretty comfortably beds.
