A perfect excape!

We love the gorgeous cottage. Stunning views!

The only thing that could be improved would be the driveway.

Good experiance in a cosy cottage

The properly was private and in a good location and also the age of the properly was well suited to us!

We had a few issues with the wifi connection as we couldn’t connect and a few tv connection issues

very disappointing, would not recommend

The view from the bedroom was amazing. Emelia from Valley Ranges Getaways was amazing moving us to a more acceptable accomodation the following day after the issues we encountered, Highly recommend Valley Ranges Getaways but would not recommend Cottage in the Forest

The King Bed had a Queen Doona on it, the mattress was collapsed on both sides so if you rolled over you fell out, totally unacceptable to expect people to sleep in it. there was only one teaspoon, all the cutlery was filthy. there was barely any firewood for the open fire. there was no normal black tea ( promoted as Tea and coffee supplied, there was 2 sachets of peppermint Tea and 2 sachets of chai tea. promoted as continental breakfast included on 1st day, there was a lovely loaf of bread but there was only 1 tiny sachet of Honey, 1 tiny sachet of Jam and 2 Vegemite for 2 people

I absolutely loved everything about the cottage, especially the amazing view from the bedroom window, I thoroughly enjoyed me stay, what a beautiful place to be

A sweet cottage excellent for short stays where a laundry might not be needed where there are driveway issues but endles

We arrived a few days before our wedding and were very, very surprised and delighted to find a beautiful bunch of flowers and drinks and food waiting for us. Thank you for these thoughtful touches. We had a planned power outage on our first full day there and the owner came and set up a generator for us which we found amazingly helpful. The view from the main bedroom window is TO DIE FOR.

As others have noted, the driveway is a problem. It is steep yes but there is a bit of concrete at the bottom we were spinning the tyres on our van on in the beginning. It’s all a bit perilous but we quickly learned to stick as far to the right as possible and to go as quickly as we could. It felt like a stress though perhaps smaller cars might be better suited to it? Also there was no laundry. i didn’t think to specifically look for one in the description originally (as I never have before) but perhaps this is on me.

FOREST PERFECTION

This cottage is magic! If you are wanting to feel immersed in the forest, look no further. The fire place was beautiful with more than enough supplies. The kitchen was well equiped for cooking a meal, also breakfast hamper was a nice touch. Bathroom was very clean also. Extra points for the extensive DVD collection which felt like a trip back to the early 2000s. Can’t wait to visit again.

Please note the driveway is very steep so best to use a larger car. Not a reason to not stay, just to be aware!

Nice little cottage, but was not very clean. Lots of dead bugs . Very very dusty and many surfaces not cleaned properly. Bed could be replaced. Beds that old there are indentations where people have been sleeping . Bit over priced taking these into consideration

Great location, amazing views. Would maybe try again to see if it was cleaned better.

Beautiful little cottage with lots of thoughtful and personal touches included such as fresh bread provided from a local bakery, music playing softly upon arrival with a heater already on, kindling set up in the fireplace ready to light, amongst other things. Having an open fireplace was amazing and the view was just beautiful. Thank you for such a great stay!

Even though some firewood was provided we had to purchase more as we had wanted the fireplace to be our main heating source during our stay rather than the heaters. For the occasional fireplace user the amount of wood provided would be more than enough.
