We really enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our time at Steve's cabin. There was plenty of room for 6 adults, 4 children and 1 toddler. The view of the lake from the deck was spectacular and the long and wide cement driveway to the cabin was a big hit with our four grandkids riding their scooters. The many steps down to the dock was a good physical activity, but the crystal clear water with it's sandy bottom made every step worth it. The shallow depth all of the way out to the end of the dock made for worry free time in the lake.

My family and I stayed for a long weekend at this property. There was everything we needed to have a good time and the cabin was in good condition. The location can’t be beat. I would recommend to anyone looking for an up north getaway.

Great location, great views! Nicely upgraded downstairs bathroom. Deer were roaming around the house every day. The stairs from the dock to the house added to the daily exercise routine :)
Would stay here again.

This house could use a lot of TLC. Pulling up to the home it was clear the outside has not had any love, it is in desperate need of a power wash. Windows are filthy! Refrigerator had food from previous guests in it and we were told to just throw it away. Several lightbulbs burned out throughout house, towel bar in bathroom 1/2 ripped off and recliners on loveseat non functional.

We had a group of 10 friends stay and had a great time. The property was very comfortable. The yard lakeside is great for some yard games. There are is a decent climb from the dock to the cabin so that wouldn't be ideal for anyone who struggles physically, but it wasn't a problem for any of us. The beach is amazing and all really soft sand. It's nice and shallow almost all the way out to the end dock and then drops off nicely for boat navigation. The availability of the boat lift was a nice touch. It wasn't setup ideally for an inboard, but it worked. I had to just make sure the prop shaft was far enough back on the lift.

We really enjoyed this 3 story getaway. The views from second and third floors were spectacular. We saw a bald eagle land in a tree 30 ft away and another pick up a fish and fly into a tree. The fishing for largemouth bass was exceptional. The owner was reachable for any questions we had. We will be back for sure.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Ping Pong in loft was a big hit. And shallow Sandy lake area along dock was great place to swim and hang out. Some window cleaning and spider web clearing outside would push it to a 5 rating.

House overlooked Lower Whitefish lake in a beautiful neighborhood. Loved listening to the loons calling in the morning and evening. We enjoyed our stay overall. One thing that would have been nice was to have a working umbrella on the deck. Owner communicated promptly and access to the property was very easy.

The best part about this place is the lake. The dock is absolutely wonderful: they have an ideal spot on the Whitefish Chain! The house itself is adequate but I wouldn’t call it comfortable.

Hard to beat the gorgeous view the property offers. Unfortunately, we had terrible weather most of our stay, but enjoyed the location and view the moments it was nice. House was very clean and seemed to provide all that we needed. Convenient to get into town. Lots of steps both inside the house and to get down to the water, so beware if you have small kids or older adults with you. Ping pong table was a nice treat given the bad weather.
Some nice updates have been made - new floor, downstairs bath remodeled. But some simple enhancements would elevate this to a 5-star property. Fix the holes in the screen door, better lighting in the downstairs bath and in the loft, add a screen door to the main level entrance, update the furniture in the loft. However, overall, we were happy with our stay.

This cabin was great for our family vacation. The property had a nice flat yard for running around and bonfires. The lake itself was great as well - super helpful to have use of the lift for our boat. It was too cold to do much swimming, but the water and sand looked great. There are a lot of stairs to get from the dock to the yard - 60 to be exact. We weren’t expecting that and it was challenging for the 3 year old and 72 year olds to go up and down. It would have been a bigger issue if it was warmer, but the cool weather and rain made it not a big deal. We stayed in the cabin and played a lot of games. Overall we really enjoyed it!

Views are spectacular. Cabin is very clean, lots of space. The upstairs room is like a 5 star hotel with amazing view of the lake. The steps down to the lake are long, but worth it.

Our family had a great vacation last summer staying at this property. The finished wood interior really makes you feel like your staying in the North woods of Minnesota. The home was very clean when we arrived. There were plenty of kitchen utensils for all our cooking needs, including dishwasher and icemaker. We spent many evenings grilling and relaxing on the lakeside deck just enjoying the gorgeous view this property has!We were able to keep our boat in the owner’s boatlift, which was very nice and convenient. The water quality and bottom are excellent here; we tubed and skied right from the dock. The swimming area is awesome, the kids spent most of their time in the water swimming and snorkeling. We were also able to catch fish right from the dock. The location is great, just a short bike ride to downtown Crosslake. They have a grocery store and hardware store in town carrying almost anything you need or forget to bring with. The kids loved the ice cream store. You can even boat to several restaurants. The fire pit overlooking the lake was a popular spot for our evening activities. The lot space is also very large; you can’t even see the neighbor’s homes. This is also true in the lake. You have so much space between the neighbors; we take up a lot of room playing in the water so this was a big plus for us.The owner was responsive and great to deal with both when picking this property and during our stay.We are staying again this summer we liked it so much.
