Splendido soggiorno

The location was fantastic, and we had an overall great experience during our one-night stay at Atenea. The owners were very responsive, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Central location, owner is very friendly
Beda are really uncomfortable. Worth replacing the mattress. Maybe it is not a bad idea to install Aircons and or ceiling fans in the breakfast room and the living room, it was really hot and stuffy during our stay . It is a pity really as your rooms and the place in generally are really tastefully designed.

A very central, pretty and cozy hotel. Everything was clean and well-thought through. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would strongly recommend and to visit again.

The building was a historical building in a very nice area close to many restaurants and the room was quite big with a very good shower
The A/C was a bit weak and of course parking was a bit difficult

It was sparkling clean and you could see someone had put a lot of attention into the small details. The location also was great, close to a lovely little bar and the city's theatre.
unfortunately our mattress was very uncomfortable and each time we moved the whole frame was shaking making it a sleepless night.

This place feels like it was a former palace. impeccably renovated with admirable taste, it gave us a luxurious feeling for what life must have been like for the very wealthy in gorgeous Agrigento. The hosts came out to receive us quite late at night, explained everything, gave us a map with the town’s highlights and pointed us to a fantastic restaurant, EXpanificio, just down the street. Our stay was almost dream-like.
Everything was better than expected.

Wow! What a great place to stay! Beautiful rooms, super, super great location and a great breakfast!
We were able to find parking very close by, there was a great bar and restaurant right across the street, you are right near in the old town and the train and bus stations are close. Maybe we got a crazy good rate because of the off season, but it feels like we should have paid more!
You could probably walk to the valley of the temples from here too if you wanted.

very nice owners, great breakfast, comfortable, beautiful and clean accommodation. I recommend it to everyone

Perfect location with a little balcony overlooking the main square of old Agrigento. Being 76, Mirabelle’s husband was wonderful in helping me with my luggage as their is no elevator
Parking was a major problem. Simply not enough of it with a major parking lot shut down. Hopefully it will reopen.

this is a typical pensione with well kept 1950’ish furniture. old world Italy . but there is nothing luxury about it as it’s name states .

nice and quiet, yet close to everything. short walk to bus/rr station. good size room. comfortable bed. great breakfast;(we were asked for our preferences). we even had newly picked lemons from Raimonda’s mum’s garden for our tea. wi-fi worked fine and so did the a/c. very clean. loved the the thin comforters - just right in the summer’s heat. it was nice to have a fridge in the room to keep the water cold. Raimonda made us feel at home and took such good care of us, she even fixed us the best taxi in town, Max. thank you Raimonda !
nothing to write here

The location is great. The place is charming. Agrigento is very small yet very pretty. Alessandro did his best to help in everything possible and beyond. The room was cozy and very nice and spacious. The bathroom was outside but was private and we had the top floor for ourselves (I don't know how it is if the other room on the same floor is taken).
Maybe the stairs aren't for everyone, but Alessandro was super helpful with our luggage.

The only problem was the awful smell of cat urine in the entry of the building. Having had many kitties over the years, it would certainly be possible to rectify the situation. Initial bleaching of all the floors and stairs,( I know that is a big area) and then daily or twice daily cleaning of the litter boxes. I know there are other occupants of the building, but someone should take on this issue. Otherwise, the Ateana hotel was perfect.
