Excellent location , great to have towels and linen provided. Welcome tea, coffee and milk was lovely.
Would have helped to be aware that the Wi-Fi did not work at all during the day time, I was supposed to join a work teams call whilst I was there but couldn’t. The sofa felt a little grubby

Sadly, this is the first time I have ever written a bad review regarding anywhere I have stayed in St Ives and I stay in St.Ives on a regular basis.
The main plus for Driftwood is its locality. As for the cleanliness of the accommodation, it is sadly lacking.
In addition contact prior to the stay (having been provided with different arrival and departure times) was totally ignored by booking.com Complaints have also been ignored by booking.com. following departure from Driftwood.
The owner of the accommodation provides an emergency number which is wrong.
I have kept dogs for years' and never has my home smelt. I booked this accommodation as I took my dog with me. Driftwood had an awful smell of what could best be described as wet dog. On using the vacuum cleaner the stench was overpowering and it became obvious that whoever is responsible for cleaning had not bothered to use/check this piece of equipment for a very, very, long time.
As mentioned, I had been provided with different arrival and departure times from booking.com and was unable to get a response from booking.com. prior to travelling to Cornwall. I use booking.com on a regular basis. However, it appears to me, if anything goes wrong, management ignore the requests for contact. I am still waiting for a requested call after weeks' of writing e-mails.
On looking back in the reviews for Driftwood it would appear that last year a couple staying could not make contact with anyone and ended up repairing the toilet and an electrical item themselves! This is wrong on so many levels and an emergency number should be correct with contact available 24/7..
Unfortunately, there is also noise from upstairs which is something that is unavoidable due to the nature of the building. However, literally every step from children running around can be heard.
Given the circumstances of travelling to Cornwall not knowing what the access times were. Using a whole can of fabreeze to try and eliminate the smell. Not being able to contact anyone on the emergency number and the e-mail avalanche I have written to both the owner and booking.com. I have now requested a discount on this stay, to date this request has been totally ignored Booking.com telling me the owner has indicated no refund and the owner now not responding to my contact. As far as I am concerned both are responsible and to date I have not received a written apology from either.

Although its small it is perfect for two. The place was ideally situated near everything.
It has everything you need. Just a very short walk to 4 lovely beaches, 2 literally just round the corner and a very short walk to everything else, pubs ,shops and restaurants. We loved it .As its on the little street leading to the car park it can get a little busy with cars from early morning to late evening and people coming to and from their cars but wasnt a major issue especially as we needed to park there to so was ideally situated for us.
Little home from home
Our Main problem was builders working on the house next door but one banging and drilling from 8 every morning. Not great if you wanted a later morning, but not the owner

Great location. Very easy to access tourist spots shops and sea.
Tea coffee and milk was there on arrival which was a nice touch.
There were no windows which made the apartment dark. To find out what the weather was like I would have to go to the front door.
Unfortunately I noticed that the radiator in the bed room was full of dust. I didn’t inspect the others.

Position- convenient, close to beaches and the island - good for walking the dog.
No window in the sitting room - but goes with the nature/character of the property- perhaps some additional lighting( lamp or side lights ) for the evening?

Ideal for 2 people staying as close to everything and with a washing machine only have to pack half.. Also ideal to clean muddy trousers after the excellent walks on the doorstep. What's not to love about St ives and being in the area was a major plus as can come and go throughout the day and night to change.
The info to get keys was not from booking.com had to get from cottages.com even though I rang booking they gave me number which they told me was for the housekeeper turned out to be cottages.com.was in queue for 15 mins to get false info.

Beautiful little novelty apartment in a fantastic location, kitchen was fully equipped and bedroom was brilliant for storage for such a small room, did read reviews before and everyone moaning about the size is completely ridiculous, I think the size and layout is a complete novelty with a very beachy/cottage feeling, and it’s impressive what they have squeezed into such a small space!
Didn’t lower my ratings of this place at all because of this as I know the owners of the property can’t help this but oh my goodness the noise from upstairs was horrendous, I can’t understand who can make that much noise from 7am-midnight every single day? Sounded like a family of kangaroos were living up there, wether it’s a resident of St Ives or fellow holiday makers they might need to be told to learn to respect other people
