Relaxing haven.

It is a creative, arty, warm and friendly place. After camping for three weeks, it was a haven.

Some mosquitoes bothered me but that’s Africa for you!

Schöne Anlage, aber man muss Glück mit den Gästen haben

Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbreit, sehr gepflegte Anlage, toller Pool, kostenloser Shuttle zur Shopping Mall. Die Safaritour mit dem Fahrer der Unterkunft am Morgen war toll - empfehlenswert. Meine 2.Safaritour und 2.Bootstour, die ich über einen andern Anbieter gebucht habe, war kostengünstiger (590BWP statt 810BWP) und beide Touren super gut. Wir sind viel weiter auf der Botsuanaseite flussaufwärts gefahren und hatten dadurch das Glück, viel mehr Tiere beobachten zu können. Zurück ging es dann kurz auf der Namibiaseite.

Die Ruhe in der Oase wurde an meinem 1.Tag durch einheimische Gäste (Poolparty: laute(r) Musik/Gesang/Unterhaltungen, leere Büchsen lagen rum, es wurde gekifft, ...) beeinträchtigt. Das Personal reagierte und es wurde leiser. In meiner 3. Nacht gab es einen ziemlich rücksichtslosen Gast - bis nach Mitternacht, der seine Freiheit ausleben will, ohne Rücksicht auf andere nehmen zu müssen. Angegebene Ruhezeiten interessieren nicht. Schade eigentlich. Ansonsten hätte ich die Unterkunft mit 9/10 bewertet. Die Bootstour von der Unterkunft empfand ich nicht als gut. Wir sind auf der Namibiaseite, 1x um die Insel gefahren und zurück auf der Botsuanaseite. Der Bootsfahrer hatte leider nicht den Blick für eine gute Positionen des Bootes zum Fotografieren.

・シャワーとトイレは共用だったが、暖かいシャワーが出て良かった。・星が綺麗に見れた。・チョベ国立公園のサファリのツアーを安く申し込めた。・犬と猫が可愛い

・キッチンスペースなどの虫が少し多かった。

Bra sängar och all personal är jätte trevlig. Bra duschar och toalett

Jättekallt på nätterna och jättevarmt på dagarna i tältet! På natten fanns de inte tillgång till värme på något sätt så ta med kläder! Köket var inte utrustat, dåligt med alla grejer som ska finnas, utslitet och sönder!

Entspannter Aufenthalt in schöner Umgebung mit sehr nettem Personal

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Budget-Zimmer war großzügig, allerdings dafür mit nur einem 1,40 m breiten Bett ausgestattet. Die kleinen Zimmer sind wirklich sehr klein und bieten kaum Platz für das Gepäck. Dafür sind sie natürlich sehr günstig. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder und -duschen waren jederzeit sehr sauber. Man konnte selbst kochen, dafür waren alle Utensilien vorhanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, vor allem im sehr netten Außenbereich. Eine vergessene Jacke wurde netterweise zurückgelegt und konnte von uns abgeholt werden. Nochmals ein Dankeschön!

I was only there one night, it was fine overall

There's a big kitchen with plenty of space, garden spaces to hang out it, friendly people. I got their shuttle from Vic falls to the hostel which was great and was able to get a ride to the supermarket when the driver was dropping people off at their river trip.

I was in the dorm, going down the uneven stairs and outside to the bathroom in the night is a lot when you're half asleep, also no mosquito nets or privacy in the dorm

Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hostel and the available facilities.

Very nice and cosy room, with friendly and helpful staff. The tours offered by the hostel were easily accessible for a good price. It is also easy to get around to the nearby Choppies for food and meet other travellers.

I enjoyed my trip thoroughly, it was a nice stay! Perhaps it could have been a little nicer if they informed solo travellers of other solo travellers wanting to go on the min. 2 people tours, but I eventually managed to go on them anyway!

Clean, nice garden and kitchen. Good price.

Staff could do with training and some enthusiasm. Not much comfortable seating and not even loungers around the pool. Poor location. Light bulb didn't work in our room for the whole stay so our room was completely dark at night.

Wonderful moment

Everything was great ! Wonderful tent, swimming pool, safari exceptionnel with a very very very good price ! We saw some leopoards, it was fantastic ! We were a little bit far way from the city but for the best !

Very good place, but logistically is difficult. It's located between Kasane and Kazungula villages. In hotel there is no restaurant, only can buy some drinks. You need to use a taxi to go to the shopping areas, not recommended to go by walk. The taxi is cheap. Sometimes there are waiting just near the lodge, otherwise you have to walk like 15 minutes through the local village to the crossroads where you can take a shared or private taxi. It's a little bit challenging, but safety. Kasane is bigger, you can book the tours or transfers there, to buy souvenirs, Kazungula is closer, but there is only supermarket and some fast food. Just please note the taxi price might be much more expensive when it's getting dark. My standard room was like a cave, but I liked it. Shared bathroom was clean and mostly comfortable. There is also a kitchen with all necessary. The stuff was nice, they helped me to book a transfer to Victoria Falls, but you need minimum 2 people to do this. Don't scare and book this backpacker guesthouse if you want to live in nice place, but budget.

My stay was amazing!

I stayed in a shared small room with two single beds. The small room exceeded my expectations. The shared bathrooms were amazing! Always clean!

There is little to not like. Maybe it was just at my room but the internet speed could use a bit of a bump up.

Great location, nice rooms, friendly staff, clean facilities, refrigerator in the room, two cute dogs running around, great offers for activities (e.g. Chobe Nationalpark)

We had to change the rooms and in the second one the beds were so uncomfortable. The mattresses were super flat. And the heater didn't work in either of the rooms.

Staff need to be more on the ball

Chalets and “caves” blend with the environmental. Use of natural materials.

Staff seem to be not on the ball. I didn’t get a towel even after I asked and was promised one. So I didn’t shower there.

Improve the bathroom in room 4, fix the air conditioner. Fix the ceiling it can be a hazard as some parts are falling off

Beautiful location . I've stayed in hostels around the world and this hostel is in a very unique and wnderous setting.

The hostel has a lot of potential but the management need to keep it up. we arrived and apparently the manager was away so for that reason the bar wasnt stocked and the staff didnt really expalin the excursions well and what they entailed. We expected more from the excursions they organised not broken down boats ending up in not even getting beverages or water.

Everything perfect!! Amazing place

Very beautiful place. Everything was so clean and all the members of the staff are so kind. The pool is very nice. The owner made everything easy for us. The activities that they organized were incredible. Amazing value for money.

The only thing that could be better is the location, specially if u don't have car as it was our case. But it is easy to fix. You have to remember that is a Backpackers place.. so if u complain for walking just less than 10 minutes and then take a taxi to wherever in the village for 0,50€... That means that u are not a backpacker at all! And if you pay a little bit more you can also have a cheap taxi waiting for u in the door of the place

VALUE VALUE VALUE! Comfortable room and cheap activities, but read the review for things to know.

By far the most economical property near to Chobe National Park. While not crowded, it had quite a diversity of guests. The room was comfortable for a single person, though two might have had to squeeze in a bit. Self-catering kitchen was reasonably stocked with kitchenware for basic meal preparation. They are building or renovating a pool that looks like it'll be a very nice area to rest and relax, and it seemed like they were finishing the construction. Bathrooms were interesting, with tent like shower stalls, but the hot water was plentiful and great water pressure (just make sure to use the showers that have the hot water pipes:). You'll need all of your own toiletries, though they do have towels and bathroom tissue available.

Location was distant from services and groceries, so plan a taxi ride or two to get into Kasane or other shopping complexes (fyi, you'll need you own water and beverages, as they only have beer at their bar) - and don't do not walk in this neighborhood after sunset, as wildlife roam and theft has apparently been known in the area. The staff were nice, but not proactive with services or assistance, and they left out some key information for planning activities. I've done every activity many times in Chobe, so I had a good idea of what to expect...but there is a reason that their activities are the cheapest around...not much if any wildlife information offered by the safari guide, though we did get to spot a heap of animals...also, the sunset safari doesn't offer drinks or snacks, so take your own...there's a grocery store and liquor store right next to the little pier where the boat departs from, and there's also no bathroom facility on the small boat.
