Welcome to our home in Tahoe and thanks for checking us out.. We feel so lucky to have a home that we love in Lake Tahoe and want to be able to share the beauty of Tahoe with our guests!
Our home is located in quiet Kingswood Estates, just 5 miles from Northstar and 1 mile from the lake. It is the perfect location for summer and winter time activities in the heart of Tahoe’s North Shore. Kings Beach, just a mile away boasts a fantastic beach with water rentals for all tastes. Grocery shopping and many great restaurants are within a 5 minute drive. We are also just 5 miles down the road from Northstar at Tahoe; Squaw, Alpine, Homewood, Tahoe City, and Truckee are all within a 20 minute drive. Itching to gamble? A 10 minute drive gets you to the Stateline and Nevada casinos.
The home itself is a comfortable 2150 square feet, with 4 bedrooms 2 ½ baths, an attached 2 car garage, and covered front porch for your convenience! The lower level of the home has 3 bedrooms – one king bedroom with walk-in closet for plenty of storage space that is directly connected to the downstairs bath. The 2nd downstairs bedroom has a queen log bed with a small desk, and the third downstairs bedroom has 3 sets of bunk beds…perfect for the kids! Two of the downstairs bedrooms have LCD TV's with DVD players, and all the beds have cozy linens and comfortable mattresses to rest after a long day of play! Also downstairs are the full sized washer and dryer for your convenience.
At the top of the stairs you enter the Living Room with vaulted ceilings with floor to ceiling windows. There are two “Tahoe Style” sofas in the living room and 2 comfortable recliners. The wood stove in the corner is perfect for those cold Tahoe evenings (we provide the wood of course). For entertainment we offer a 55” HDTV and DVD player, and stereo system. We also have a good supply of movies for kids and adults and a Wii gaming console. Our home is also set-up with Wi-Fi, should you choose to stay “connected” during your Tahoe visit.
Upstairs you will also find the huge master bedroom with attached bath. There is an amazing CA King reclaimed wood "Tahoe" bed in the Master with a sliding door that leads to the deck. The attached master bath offers dual sinks with an oversized soaking tub and a large walk in closet. There is a new 32’ LCD TV in the Master bedroom.
The kitchen is huge, with room for all of your cooks with GE Profile stainless steel appliances. We keep it well stocked with everything you might need for cooking – if you are worried we might not have what you need please ask! There is an eating bar with 3 stools (great for keeping the cook company). The dining room table seats 8 comfortably and has a slider out to the extremely large deck (over 1,000 square feet or outdoor space with a peek lake view!).
The deck provides plenty of space for afternoon relaxing in the summer and fall months, and has a beautiful filtered view of the lake. It features a large table with umbrella, lounge chairs, 2 large space heaters, and a large stainless steel barbecue.
For the kids we have a pack n’ play, co-sleeper, high chair, booster chairs, bed rails and even potty seats! We have a baby gate at the top of the stairs and nightlights located throughout the home. For use during your stay, we have beach toys, snow toys and a wagon! Need more? We can refer you to a baby rental company in Tahoe and if you need a night or day out with just the adults we can recommend a babysitting service nearby!
We have made every effort with our home to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible. We have rented homes for many years in Tahoe, and have included those special amenities that we have always appreciated most! The home is stocked with games for kids and adults, puzzles, videos and music as well as a supply of “Tahoe Toys” for winter and summer (beach chairs, floaties and rafts, boogie boards, beach umbrella, coolers and a wagon to get them all to the beach)! We also have 2 kayaks and a paddle board that you are welcome to use if you can get them safely to and from the beach. We have corn hole boards in the garage - set up on the deck or in the driveway. In the winter we have sleds and snow toys. For your furry friends we have an extra large size doggie bed, and dog bowls! We have books with local attractions, maps, hikes, our favorite beaches, restaurants and ski areas. We are always happy to recommend our favorite activities...

Loved the deck but it was old and slivered. Needed a coat of varnish. Not enough towels and no washcloths. Kitchen was well stocked.

We had a really fun stay in Lake Tahoe . The flooring is pretty beat up and should be updated. The space was nice for our family and kids and the cabin is in a great location.

Hosts were very helpful and delightful. Home was very well equipped and very comfortable for our family reunion group. Beautiful quiet neighborhood within short drive to the lake and beach areas.

We came for a winter weekend stay with our two small children and a few friends. Darcy’s home was lovely, comfortable, and very well located. We were able to go for walks and sledding around King’s Beach and activities up at Northstar. Grocery store and restaurants nearby, and everything you need to cook meals in the kitchen. Big plus that there are plenty of sleds (and summer toys) in the garage for guest use. We loved our stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was centrally located, was stocked with various food, utensils and appliances which was very helpful. Just about everything you need to enjoy the beach was available for use from the property. Contact with Darcy was quick and prompt. Property was clean, extra towels and bedding was available. Check in was clear and easy. Checkout was quick and simple, we really appreciated that. Previous stays with other rentals required a long list of cleaning items that had to be done, plus a cleaning fee. One minor item with cleaning, some of the windows had spiderwebs/cobwebs where you needed to open them. I mean it is a mountain property after all.

This place was older and not very well kept.
In the bedroom I stayed in, the screen didn’t work so there were many bugs, mattress looked like a hammock because it was SO worn down, and there was only one pillowcase provided (and 3 scratchy shams).
The biggest issue my family and I personally had was the downstairs smells like cats (which they tried to mask with air fresheners but didn’t work), and my father has terrible allergies and was having a very hard time breathing by the time he tried to sleep.
We visited at a time where there was a lot of pollen, but it would have been nice if the patio was cleaned/ rinsed off before we arrived.
They did have many board games to choose from which was fun for the kids in our group.

The house was perfect for my family. Grandpa and grandma master suite upstairs with the main living area. Huge deck off the kitchen. Stocked with everything you would need.
Downstairs bedrooms for my kids and spouses and the third bunk bed room for my 5 grands!
Our dogs were also happy and comfortable.
One mile from the beach and the quaint little town.
It was a wonderful trip.

We had family from all over come for Mom’s 90th Birthday. We enjoyed the huge deck and the beach. We played music, did the hula with the girls, bbq’d outside. Even the dog enjoyed it. Tahoe is a special place in the world.

Because reception is spotty, make sure you have all the entry info (code for keys) prior to getting to the house. Do not rely on reception outside!

We had a great stay! We had a family get-together and it comfortable swallowed up 8 adults (4 couple) and 2 infants.
Great location at the north of the lake, and only 5 minutes to a grocery store or the beach. Another perk was the HUGE deck with great heat-lamps and a great grill for cooking.
Darcy was very helpful in figuring out logistics, and she supplied a high chair and pack-n-play which cut down on checked baggage.
Highly recommend.

We wanted a family vacation for all the kiddos. The house was perfect. The kids were amazed at how big the house was. The beach was perfect even though it was chilli we made the best of our trip. I would stay there again and again. What a lovely home.

This was our yearly snow trip with a group of family and friends, and it didnt disappoint. The cabin was in a great location, secluded but yet close to town. Had lots of room and space and had a good vibe and tasteful decor. I was especially pleased of the attention to detail for our amenities and cleanliness. So much to enjoy and wish we could've stayed abit longer at the cabin. I will surely go back again and recommend to to friends and family. Property management was very easy to work with and has the experience and knowledge to maximize a wonderful vacation stay!

We had so much fun here! We were an extended family with two youngsters. We built a snowman and had a great snowball fight in the front yard, which was a huge expanse of beautiful snow.
Darcy is an excellent communicator! We had to reschedule due to the summer fires of last year and with school vacations and such. She was so considerate and understanding! So we ended up coming here in the winter, which was incredibly gorgeous!
The house is wonderful for families! We played charades, from their extensive game collection every night with the kids and they had a blast! We ate in and cooked in the well stocked kitchen with every appliance we needed. First time ski lessons for the kids, ice skating at North Star and tubing at Boreal. The kids did not want to leave! The house is so well situated for all these activities!
We would love to return in the summer and enjoy the warm weather activities!

Darcy was an amazing host! Her property was a wonderful location for bringing our two families together for the holidays. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the garage was stocked with lots of snow toys for the sledding hill. Can't wait to return!

Our family and friends celebrated my son’s 18th birthday and had a wonderful winterland experience. Upon our arrival, I was truly amazed the owners had literally everything we needed which added to a perfect weekend. The house was in a great location and close to everything. We highly recommend this Tahoe home to anyone.

In the description the owner says, "We have made every effort with our home to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible. " This is true. Everything we needed was there. The pictures and description on the website are accurate. The house is cozy and warm. We loved the wood burning stove. We used the games, pack n play and even the potty seat. We cooked almost all of our meals at "home" - the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, sharp knives, etc. The beds were comfortable. The house is well stocked with towels, blankets and sheets.
We had our family with us including our two grandsons (3.5 year old and 2 year old). It was perfect for them too.
The owner, Darcy, was easy to reach by phone, text or email and responded quickly.
We will definitely rent this place again.

The Deck surface could have been cleaner, out of propane for BBQ but not a problem for us, owner offered refund if we got some.

We had a wonderful time, great location, house closed to everything we needed: hiking, biking, zip lining, beach etc. The owner was very responsive and provided a lot of great advice regarding food and fun.

It was a great getaway. It felt like home the minute we walked in. Everything was fresh and clean. The location was great and a quite neighborhood. The only downfall which was no fault of the owners was the smoke from the Tamarak fire. Would definitely rent again!
