About this apartment rental
This comfortable, ancient apartment of 140 square meters, located on the First Noble Floor of Ca' Bernardi (23 steps to climb), perfect for 6 people, a few steps from Rialto, in the picturesque, lively and central area of San Polo, is built on two levels.
Not recommended to children under the age of 8.
This flat has the C.I.R. code 027042-LOC-10853 and City code M02704210786.
In case of booking by only two people (couple) the upper level, please, must not be used. The rate for two people is based on this aspect. In case of choosing to use two rooms in two people or three / four people three rooms, there will be an increase of € 25.00/day to cover the increased costs of cleaning and heating / air conditioning.
It consists of a large noble room with ceilings over 4 meters high, two bedrooms (one double with a canopy bed of 160x200 cm and one with twin beds that can be joined) and a small living room with a sofa bed with a 140x200 cm mattress, a kitchen where you can dine, a second small kitchen for aperitifs and breakfasts on the second level, two bathrooms with showers.
From the windows you can enjoy the beautiful view of the Rio dei Meloni, where there's a gondola station (30 seconds from home), and - inside building - the delightful courtyard of the Palazzo.
Very close to the vaporetto/ferry line 1 (San Silvestro stop), Five Continents Art Apartment is located in an ideal area to reach any part of the City: Rialto 3-minute walk, San Marco and the Marcian area18 minutes, Ca' d'Oro to as well, the area of Santa Maria Formosa15 minutes, the Frari area and the Scuola di San Rocco no more than 10 minutes.
With vaporetto line 1 you reach all the important points of the city and the Biennale in a short time.
30 seconds from home is COOP supermarket, a few minutes away is the fantastic Rialto market, where you can buy every possible delicacy. In the very close surroundings there are endless shops, restaurants and pastry shops (the most famous, practically one step away from home, is “Rizzardini”). A well-tested list of nearby restaurants, left for guests inside the apartment, will give a first idea....
The Five Continents Art Apartment has been completely renovated and furnished on winter and spring 2019. All its facilities are certified according to the regulations in force.
This apartment was designed to accommodate cultured and demanding visitors, art lovers of every culture, who appreciate relaxation of a private Venetian house during rest after long walks of exploration and discovery.
The furnishings are antique and contemporary: design lamps (Artemide, Leucos, Nemo, Vistosi, Barovier e Toso) match with seventeenth-century furniture and Asian and African textiles. But the playful aspect is also not forgotten: in the main living room there is a gaming table with dames, chess and backgammon. A small library on Venice and art books in different languages gladden moments of relaxation. On the walls, modern and contemporary artworks, Japanese prints, Cesare Vecellio's and Italian seventeenth century engravings, Chinese, Berber and Anatolian carpets. The cushions are produced with ikat fabrics from Uzbekistan, as well as some suzani textiles.
Two televisions are in the two living rooms on the first and second floors, while the private WIFI line is provided.
The apartment is equipped with all kind of appliances: dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, two TVs, shoe cleaner, safety hairdryer in both bathrooms, toaster, machine for Italian and "American" coffee, two water kettles, etc. Heating and air conditioning are guaranteed by a state-of-the-art heat pump and split system in every room.
The bed linen is in elegant stonewashed linen (flax): both winter and summer sheets and bedspreads. Three towels, slippers and bathrobe for each guest are available. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, liquid soap, toilet paper, home paper and cleaning and cooking materials and a small first aid kit, and, finally, umbrellas, waterproof ponchos and high water boots for each guest. Bad weather will not stop you!
Guests are asked to respect the condominium context and the neighborhood.
"Cà Bernardi" means "home of Bernardi", a wealthy XVth century Venetian family from Giudecca, which dealt with the sale of colors and pigments.
The trace of the fresco on external entrance wall seems to depict San Rocco, a beloved one in Venice, protector against epidemics.
A nice message and a good omen for your Venetian home! Welcome!
CITY TAX - € 3 for each guest for the first 5 days. Taxes must be payed at check-in, will be given a receipt for the payment.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The manager gave very detailed instructions for our stay which was nice. Someone met us at the property to give us keys and instructions. Location was great.
8.0 / 10.0
The location was good, the apartment was well appointed and clean. The washer and dryer are a great asset. However, the provided towels need an upgrade. They were faded, thin and appeared to be quite old. No fluff! If the host provided 3 towels per person (hand, hair & shower) that would definitely be an improvement.

The apartment was wonderful. Everything one would need was there. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable but most of all the the host Cristiana was the best. Would definitely stay there again.

Elegantly pointed furniture and fully ready for us. Easily found! Host’s instructions are very clearly given. Meeting her property manager on site was great! I’ll stay here again! Centrally located for a Vapporado or walking to Rialto! Food is everywhere!
Excellent location.

This is our 2nd time to stay at this fantastic rental. It's a great and convenient location. The kitchen is well stocked for all your cooking needs. There is nothing better, after a day out exploring, than coming back to rest in a comfortable bed....with the best sheets. :) The hostess is an excellent communicator. Very helpful. This rental is well maintained and very clean! There is a small grocery store literally around the coorner, and so many great restaurants nearby too.

After staying some days in the apartment its easy to understand why it only gets 5’s from every one!
It has everything that you will need for your stay, everything is proper, what you see in the photos is exactly what you will find and the apartment instructions are very clear.
The communication with CristiNa was very friendly, as also were Claudia and Luzia. Choose this apartment and you will have a perfect staying in Venice. Thank you Cristiana!

Gorgeous place to stay in Venice!! Cristiana was such a gracious host and gave superb details and instruction. The place was spotless and amenities were top notch. Close to St Marks square and shopping and restaurants all around. Wish we could have stayed in Venice longer but would definitely come back and stay there again.

I never give all 5 stars to any venue I review; but, this one, I had to.
We could not have been more pleased.
The location was so convenient to all Venice has to offer; we never even used a vaporetto. We were able to walk everywhere.
The check-in process was easy because the host stayed in communication with us from the moment of reservation (which was 6 months prior).
The accommodations was exceptional for a family with ample room for everyone.
Unfortunately, we had 3 days of rain, so, hanging out at home wasn’t such a bad idea. The supermarket is literally below the apartment and a few feet from the door. I cooked at home on a 5 burner stove, set the table with lovely bone china and drank Prosecco which the host gifted us chilled in the refrigerator.
The air conditioner worker fine, the washer and dryer worked fine, and the bathrooms were clean and newly renovated.
The bed linens are percale cotton edge with embroidery, pressed to perfection. There were even bedroom slippers.
I guess we got pretty lucky. We rented flats in Rome, Sorrento and Florence and they all paled in comparison.
Of course, if you are unable to climb steps, this apartment is not for you. If you have small children, this flat is not for you, due to the many antiques displayed around.
But, if you are traveling with teens or two couples that want a little privacy; this is the perfect location; there is a well equipped upstairs with 2 twin beds, full bath and small kitchen.

The landlord is so detailed with instruction on everything you could think of, navigation to the place, transportation means, vicinities of places and convenience around, even was on standby for any visa documents requests. She is the best ever! Super fast on response. Check in process was extremely smooth even with non-English speakers. The whole place is lovely w different decor and all equipments you need for daily usage. Definitely recommended and I will personally consider stay here again if I return!

My family and I stayed on our first trip to Italy. Cristiana provided directions that were terrific. Her communication was great and provided so many great recommendations. Although this is very close to many tourists attractions the apartment seemed away from the crowds. Claudia was so helpful at check in even thought we had a difficult time communicating (Italian/English). I would recommend this apartment to anyone I know.

Fantastic location- amazing quirky property
A perfect place to stay for a few days in Venice. It could not have been more perfect location wise and the apartment was easy to find snd beautifully appointed. We felt so at home there. I had hurt my knee so walking was very difficult and the apartment made it easy to be there comfortably and also to be at a good point where I could join the rest of the family during the day at a central meeting point. So exciting looking out onto our own gondola station every day. A thoughtful and delightful host who made our check in process so easy and thought of our every need. Thanks so much!

Excellent apartment with everything you need
The property is tucked away in the heart of San Polo. It was easy to find from San Silvestro vaporetto stop using the clear instructions sent by Cristiana, the wonderful owner/ host. The apartment is furnished with an eclectic collection of modern and very old furniture/objects. The kitchen is fully equipped. The second floor of the apartment has a small kitchenette that we did not use. Wi-Fi was good. The air conditioning is very effective (we were there during a heat wave) and relatively quiet at night.
We enjoyed some excellent dinners at restaurants close to the apartment. Cristiana’s recommendations are very reliable. A note about Cristiana. She responded very quickly to our enquiries and always very helpfully. Cristiana is an excellent host.
