The cabin was great and clean. Great to just chill and relax.

Our family enjoyed our time at Trout Landing! The house is very nicely furnished and we so enjoyed our time hanging out on the porch.

The house was great and clean. However, the road to the house is one way, nearly 1 mile long, and not very favorable for driving. Loved the house - hated the road

House was beautiful and very centrally located. Very clean. I was inpressed with how clean it was. Mile long gravel road very curvy. House is at the end, in a nice area.

The house was spotless with very comfortable seating and beds. Enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Easy river access for fishing. Halfway in between everything that Cherokee and Dillsboro have to offer. Yeah there’s a 4 lane highway on the other side of the river but you don’t notice it much. Wifi is a little hit and miss, but if you want to get away and disconnect this is a great choice.

We had a good stay with our disabled family member.

We have been back for the second time at this wonderful place. The house has everything you need and more. The place is little tricky to find but we love it that way. It’s clean and up to modern standards. Only thing was the internet, which was resetting continuously. But it worked!

Loved the house, clean and well design and laid out. Quiet with a wrapped around porch and a good size yard. Not far from attractions within 30 minutes from allot to do in the mountains. Road in and out is a gravel, single lane for a mile.

We came up for a wedding and really enjoyed this house. Very clean, very comfortable, Wi-Fi was good and I will rent again if we are in the area. We came the third weekend of October and there was no snow but we used 4WD the last mile to the cabin. I would not go up without it. I used their directions and once we did it once we were good. Beautiful area and close to a lot of great sight seeing!!

I am Kenny’s girlfriend, Vonda. We booked this house because I am in a wheelchair and it was wheelchair accessible. The house was very easy to get around in and the shower was accessible for a rollin shower chair.
We loved the fact that the train came right by the house. We sat outside beside the tracks and videoed the train coming around the curve.

Nice house, very clean, well appointed. I couldn’t give 5 stars because the internet timed out every night at 9:00 PM with no explanation or resolution. The gravel drive was no joke. Very nerve wracking to drive on, especially on a dark or rainy night. Not much can de done about the condition of the properties we passed while driving on the gravel drive to the house, so we were glad to find a tidy, quiet peaceful place upon arrival.

The house itself is perfect. Access to the river is really nice, and there is a cute suspension bridge over the river. The landscaping is great, and the porch swing was a big hit. Accessibility was top notch- unlike a lot of vacation homes, there are no stairs, no steep driveway to walk up, a roll-in shower, and even an accessible kitchen sink. The views from the house are also good

Excellent place stay really enjoyed the place will be back soon

Nice place with hot tub and a flowing river. The highway really didn’t bother us in the front. The driveway isn’t all that bad like some reviews said. It is long and it is a single car driveway but we had no problems. Hey it’s the mountains so stop complaining

we tried in the pouring rain to find this cabin on a long single lane road that was partially flooded for two hours. We called for assistance to only receive a text giving us the same directions that we already had. We were honestly in what felt to us as an unsafe situation . The customer service of VACASA is horrible.

The cabin was very clean cleaner than any we've stayed in and we travel five to six times a year!!!
The last mile and a half getting back to it is a bit treacherous but it's beautiful once you get there! It does have some road noise but it tends to die down in the evening. Will definitely come back here again!!

Trout House Relaxation
This home is wonderful. Very clean and was so comfortable. The location was great. A little out of the way but quiet and relaxing. A 15 minute drive to Bryson City. The owner’s directions to the house were spot on. I would advise you to follow those. Everyone had a wonderful time. Brother in law did not bring his fishing gear and we came by air from the west coast so disappointed that we were or able to try fishing. Maybe next time.

Good Experience Overall
Only caveat would be the hot tub water was a little dirty. We thought to replace water but was unsure of what was allowed. All other aspects of our stay were very good.

Very relaxing for a weekend getaway
Overall this place was perfect. The furniture was nice and comfortable. The only part that I did not enjoy was the driveway to reach the property. There was a single gravel drive that was a mile long to reach the house. Also, the hot tub did not stay heated. Once occupied the temperature slowly dropped to 88° and would never increase. The hot tub could only be enjoyed for short periods of time with hours in between to reheat. I would stay again as this was a very cozy home away from home.

Awesome House, Great Location!
Really enjoy staying here - house is clean, we’ll set up, with a fire pit, grill, and hot tub for everyone to enjoy. This was a business trip this time, but will definitely be back with my family!

One of the coolest place to stay
We had booked this stay with VACASA and pleasantly surprised with the size of the cabin. Cabin served us good. I an d my wife loved the space. We had everything to cook there. The view of the wood was amazing and smokey in the morning which made it perfect. The only suggestion I have for VACASA is to put more direction signs as you come off the main street. It would be better for the navigation during the night. Overall A plus

almost perfect
The general location worked out for our vacation in the area. We spent more time around the BRP than GSMNP. The only thing that prevented a 5-star rating was the 1+ plus gravel road to the house. It wasn't too bad, just a little bumpy for our passenger car (Toyota Avalon). The hot tub felt great after hiking every day. We did forget something at the house and we were able to just walk across the foot bridge to retrieve it. Overall, the house was great and fit our needs perfectly.

The only reason I didn’t give this property five stars is the driveway. It’s single car width, gravel and very bumpy.
Other than that, the house has a great layout with a beautiful porch. The road noise from across the river isn’t that bad. We enjoyed our stay.

Have you ever read a Nicholas Sparks book?
The worst part of this house is that we have to leave so soon.. This is our last night in the house. I’m typing this from the couch in front of the tv, right side. I read through the reviews before we came. Some of them were very convincing and had me thinking that maybe it wasn’t what we had hoped for. Fortunately, that is the furthest from the truth. The fact is, my husband and I felt more at home here than we do at our own house. When we arrived, it took us about 10 minutes to figure out the house (light switches, doors, rooms, etc). After that, it was literally four entire days of relaxation. This house has everything you could possibly need aside from food and clothing. Bring what you want to wear and eat for the week. That’s it. They provide everything you need to make literally whatever you want. Skillet, Grill, Cups, Plates, Silverware, Dish Detergent, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, Toilet paper, Shampoo, Conditioner, TOOTHPICKS… Literally everything else you need. I was amazed. On the first night, there was a lady cutting the grass. She cut the grass practically every day that we were there. But it was never at an unusual hour, never an inconvenience, and the landscaping is GORGEOUS!! You can tell she really puts her heart into it. Not only does she make the surrounding area look incredible, she truly watches the place. On the second night, I was grilling on the porch. Listening to music, sizzle from the grill, and the rumbles fighting for dominance from the river and Hwy 19. Quietly, I heard “ma’am. Maaaaaa’aaaam??” I don’t think I’ve been scared like that in a long time.. It was the neighbor coming up to let me know that there was a thunderstorm coming in and they were expecting it to hail. She was coming to offer a section of her carport for our motorcycles. She literally moved her vehicle to allow us to park our bikes under. Speaking of motorcycles, my husband and I did trailer our bikes to the house. Any road is motorcycle accessible, if you know what you’re doing.. On the third day, we rode our bikes to Bryson City for a couple of hours. It is August and SUPER hot, so we decided to find some water. Conveniently, the house is located at the end of a hanging bridge off of the highway. My husband and I stopped at the beginning of the bridge and decided that I could walk the bridge to the house to get our swimsuits…. When I got back to the motorcycle, the neighbor had followed me back across the bridge to the bikes to make sure I wasn’t a thief stealing things from the house. I literally love this lady at this point!!!! All in all, my husband and I have decided that this house will be a traditional spot and I am SUPER excited about the future!! The area is beautiful, the house is the most perfect thing you could ever ask for, the people are amazing, and your trip will be perfect!! Push reserve!!! You won’t be sorry!!

JULY 4TH., 2021 VACATION
HOT TUB WAS FILTHY AND PAID TO HAVE IT CLEANED BEFORE CHECKING IN FOR VACATION. COULD NOT USE.
THE HALL BATH STAYED STOPPED UP AND MY SON FIXED BY PULLING GOBS OF HAIR OUT OF THE DRAIN. THE SHOWER HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED. THE NOISE FROM THE HIGHWAY WAS HORRIBLE. NICE HOUSE BUT NEEDS GOOD CLEANING. FURNITURE DIRTY. FRENCH DOOR HANDLE FELL OFF. NOT GOING BACK.

Great house, but...
The house was lovely and clean and well laid out. It is really unfortunate that the noise from the highway is so loud - it is not, sadly, a place to go for peace and quiet. And for those who complained about the water access, walk along the water a little ways upriver and you’ll see a lovely deck and water entry. My husband uses an electric wheelchair and the house was great for that, although the space in front of and to the left of the toilet was tight. We had a great time!

Nice quaint home, all you need for a great vacation home to get away. Well kept, nice and clean. Great place to stay! Hope to be back next year.

Very Nice!
Rented this home as lodging for my daughters graduation from WCU and to do a little trout fishing. The home was great - next door neighbor was very nice and kindly allowed us access to the river from her property -otherwise access to the water would have been difficult. Loved the porch/swing, had beautiful weather. Had a great weekend and made great memories! Thank you!!

Perfect for family gathering
5 adults were very comfortable in this home. Accessibility to our family members with mobility challenges was appreciated. Location good but be prepared for traffic noise. Overall great stay!

Not what you think
Loud traffic 1.5 miles into the woods to end back up across the river to hear traffic. Hot tub cold and water in house smelled like rotten eggs. Neighboor mowing yard at 8:30 pm no peace and quiet waste of money

Beautiful home with awful traffic noise
This home is beautiful, clean and welcoming. It is close to everything, waterfalls, Cherokee, Bryson City, and Sylva. The only problem we had was the traffic noise. It is constant all day and all night. Since the house is sitting right off of a main thru fare.
